Description

The invention relates to an arrangement according to the preamble of claim 1. Such an arrangement is apparent from the US 2002/112320 A1 out.

To connect electrical power consumers of a motor vehicle, which may be a passenger car or a truck, to a battery in the same as a voltage source, so-called harnesses are used in a known technique. In such harnesses a more or less large number of electrical lines is combined into one unit. Depending on the size of the distances to be bridged between battery and / or control devices on the one hand and power consumers on the other hand, the lines may have different lengths. The more power consumers are connected, the more expensive the harnesses are with correspondingly complex installation. For the sake of simplicity, the abbreviation "PKW" will be used in the following instead of the word "motor vehicle".

In a car existing power consumers are, for example, the bulbs in headlights and taillights, motors for mirror adjustment, opening and closing windows and seat adjustment, seat heaters, a steering wheel heating, lighting the dashboard and the license plates, sensors and control units. As long as the power consumers are mounted on or in the body of a car, there are no special problems. This is different if the power consumers are located on or in a moving part of the car. "Moving parts" are all doors of the car, but especially a designed as a tailgate door. For the sake of simplicity, the word "door" will be used hereinafter instead of the words "movable part". Each door is pivotally connected about an axis of rotation with the body of the car. The leads leading to the power consumers mounted on or in the door are bent back and forth with each movement of the door. So they are constantly mechanically loaded and therefore can be easily damaged.

From the JP 08048146 A shows an arrangement for the power supply of mounted in a motor vehicle power consumers, in which one of the number of power consumers corresponding number of electrical lines in two interconnected units is summarized, which are connected on the one hand to a voltage source located in the motor vehicle and on the other hand to the power consumers. The power consumers are mounted on both the body of the motor vehicle and on a movable part thereof, which is pivotally connected to the body about a rotation axis. Outside the axis of rotation is a winding running or bifilar winding formed electrical line with contact elements, which can follow a pivotal movement of the movable part and on the contact elements on the one hand connected to the voltage source lines and on the other hand electrically conductive to the power consumers of the movable part lines are connected.

In the known arrangement according to the above-mentioned US 2002/112320 A1 the wiring harness is also divided into two parts, one of which is attached to the body of a car and the other to a door thereof. Within a hinge of this arrangement, a wire harness is provided which extends in the region of the axis of rotation of the hinge within a tube parallel to the same. The leads of this harness are connected at both ends to pins made of pins contact elements of connectors which are mounted in the hinge itself. On the contact elements mating contacts can be attached, which are attached to the ends of the two parts of the wiring harness.

The invention has for its object to make the above-described arrangement so that the two units of the wiring harness can be easily connected to each other.

This object is achieved according to the characterizing features of claim 1.

In this arrangement, the lines of the wiring harness of a car in the swivel range between the body and door are separated into two parts, which are each connected to the contact elements of the contact carrier located there and thereby connected to each other. The wiring harness or its lines are therefore no longer mechanically stressed by the pivoting movement of the door. Each contact element is designed as a spiral with at least one turn. The spiral ensures that the ends of a contact element can be reciprocated without permanent deformation of the same by angles up to about 150 °, when the door is fully opened and closed again. The contact carrier is thereby constructed so that he or his contact elements can join the pivotal movement of the door or can. It is designed for this special purpose, so that it can fulfill its function as a rotatable or swiveling connector permanently. In this case, the position of the connection points or ends of the contact elements, with which the lines of the two parts of the wiring harness are connected, unchanged in any position of the door, so that the lines are not mechanically stressed at these connection points by the pivoting movements of the door. By given in this arrangement division of the wiring harness, the respective door can be vorverkabelt, so that the door located in the door and connected to the corresponding power consumers connected after mounting the door to the body of the car only to the contact elements of the likewise preassembled contact carrier will need.

In Fig. 1 is a car 1 is shown schematically in a side view, which is equipped in this embodiment with four doors 2 and a designed as a tailgate door 3. Parts and equipment of the car 1, which are necessary for its operation, will not be further explained here. They are known in principle. It is also known that power consumers, such as lights and taillights, are supplied via so-called harnesses with electricity. Also, the structure of a wire harness, in which one of the number of power consumers corresponding number of electrical lines is combined to form a unit is therefore not described.

The door 3 is pivotally connected to the body 4 of the car 1, for example via existing in a rotation axis 5 hinges. She can get out of the Fig. 1 shown closed position in dashed open positions are pivoted about the axis of rotation 5. A arranged on or in the door 3 power consumers 6 is connected to its power supply via a cable harness equipped with electrical lines with the battery of the car 1. This connection must remain undisturbed, even if the door 3 is very often pivoted in the direction of the double arrow 7 about the axis of rotation 5.

In the arrangement according to one embodiment of the invention, the cable harness is divided into two units K1 and K2 in the area of interest here. The unit K1 of the wiring harness is fixed to the body 4 of the car. It contains a number of electrical lines, which are connected at one end, for example, with the battery of the car. The unit K2 of the wiring harness is mounted in the door 3. It has with preference a number of electrical lines, which corresponds to the number of existing in or on the door 3 power consumers. One of these lines is connected to the power consumer 6.

Between the two units K1 and K2 of the wiring harness at least one contact carrier 8 is arranged with contact elements 9, to which the lines of the unit K1 of the wiring harness on the one hand and the unit K2 on the other are connected. The contact carrier 8 and its contact elements 9 are constructed such that he or she can join a pivoting movement of the door 3 in the long run without damage or can. For this purpose, the contact carrier 8 is mounted in the axis of rotation 5, with advantage on one of the hinges located there.

Each contact element 9 is according to Fig. 6 designed as a spiral with at least one turn. The spiral ensures that the ends of a contact element 9 can be reciprocated without permanent deformation of the same by angles up to about 150 °, when the door 3 is fully opened and closed again. The more turns the spiral has, the cheaper this effect will be. In Fig. 6 three turns are shown. However, the number of turns is limited because of the smallest possible dimensions of the contact carrier 8.

Je eine Scheibe 10 trägt vorzugsweise ein Kontaktelement 9.The contact carrier 8 is advantageously made of a mechanically stable plastic, such as polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) or polycarbonate (PC). He is equipped with a number of mutually insulated contact elements 9. There should be at least two contact elements 9. The contact carrier 8 is constructed in the illustrated embodiments of several consisting of insulating discs 10, which are mounted axially adjacent to each other, for example, on an axis 11. Depending on a disc 10 preferably carries a contact element. 9

The contact elements 9 are made of a highly conductive metal, such as stainless steel, bronze, brass, copper or a copper alloy. They are wire-shaped and have resilient properties. After mounting the contact carrier 8, the contact elements 9 on the one hand in the direction of the unit K1 of the wiring harness and on the other hand in the direction of the unit K2 thereof.

In order to enable a movement of the contact elements 9 in the contact carrier 8, the discs 10 according to Fig. 3 at least in one of the areas where the ends of the contact elements 9 protrude from the contact carrier 8, be provided with extending slots 12 in the circumferential direction. The discs 10 may also be arranged in the circumferential direction around the axis 11 rotatably in the contact carrier 8. Slits 12 are not required in this embodiment. The ends of the contact elements 9 project according to the 3 and 4 on two different sides so far out of the contact carrier 8 that they are available for electrical contact.

For this purpose, the ends of the contact elements 9 are formed or formed as plug pins.

For attaching mating connectors to the contact elements 9, which are attached to the lines of the units K1 and K2 of the wiring harness, the protruding from the contact carrier 8 ends of the contact elements 9 may be surrounded in a known technique of a connector housing 13 and 14, which with the Contact carrier 8 belongs and guarantees a moisture-tight seal for the contact elements 9. The plug housings 13 and 14 advantageously also have elements, such as projections or recesses, by means of which the mating plugs of the lines to be connected of the cable harness are to be secured with strain relief.

To complete the electrically conductive connections between the lines of the units K1 and K2 of the wiring harness, the contact carrier 8 is first mounted in the axis of rotation 5 of the car. Thereafter, the mating connector of the wires of the wiring harness are attached to the contact elements 9. In this case, both units K1 and K2 of the wiring harness can be preassembled with advantage, so that need only be plugged into the connector housing 13 and 14 for the preparation of electrically conductive connections only the mating connector. They are then set in the plug housings 13 and 14 strain relieved. The possibility of pre-assembly or pre-wiring has a particularly advantageous effect for the door 3.

The arrangement according to the invention is explained in the foregoing for the door 3 (tailgate) of the car. It can be used analogously to any other door of the car.
