Definitions
- the present invention relates to a transport device for the transport of banknotes, in particular banknotes.
- Such transport devices are used for example in ATMs and automatic cash vaults to transport banknotes or check forms.
- a branch in the transport path is necessary, for example, if banknotes are to be stored in one of several available cassettes or banknotes whose quality is insufficient or whose authenticity is questionable, must be discarded.
- switches are used, which are operated by drive means.
- switches are usually complex and prone to failure.
- the invention has for its object to provide a transport device for notes of value, with a branching of the transport path can be realized in a simple and specializedsunan perennially occurring in a simple and specializedsunan perennially occurring in a simple and specializedsunan perennially occurring in a simple and specializedsunan perennially occurring in a simple and specializedsunan perennially occurring in a simple and specializedsunan perennially occurring in a simple and metricsunan perennials.
- a transport device which comprises a first belt transport and a second belt transport, wherein the second belt transport is arranged transversely to the first belt transport. Between the belts of the first belt conveyor and the second belt transport, a transport path for notes of value or banknotes is formed in each case. A note of value or a sheet, which is transported along the transport path of the first belt transport, abuts at the end of the transport path with its leading edge on the upper transverse belt of the second belt conveyor and is deflected by the belt so that it is now transported along the transport path of the second belt conveyor.
- the sheet may be steered into the left or right portion of the second belt conveyor, thereby enabling a switch function without requiring separate drives or control means.
- a sheet stack can be formed within the transport path of the second belt transport by successively transferring sheets from the first belt transport to the second belt transport and the new sheet under the already formed stack of sheets in the first or second section of the second belt transport is filed.
- Fig.1 is a transport device 10 according to the invention schematically in a side view and in Fig.2 shown in a plan view.
- the transport device 10 comprises a first belt transport 15, which is preferably formed from three endless belts 12 and three endless belts 14.
- the belts 12 are stretched between rollers 16 and rollers 18, and the belts 14 are tensioned between rollers 20 and rollers 22.
- the belts are driven, the direction of rotation of the rollers determines the direction of transport of the belt.
- the device further comprises a second belt conveyor 5, which is preferably formed of two belts 26 and two belt pairs 32 and 38 and extends transversely to the first belt conveyor 15.
- the two endless belts 26 are stretched between the rollers 28 and rollers 30.
- the two endless belts 32 are stretched between the rollers 34 and rollers 36.
- the rollers 34 are in the Fig. 2 covered by the belt 26 and therefore shown in dashed lines.
- the two endless belts 38 are stretched between the rollers 40 and rollers 42.
- the rollers 40 are in the Fig. 2 also hidden by the third belt 26 and therefore shown in dashed lines.
- the rollers 16 and the rollers 34 are arranged on a common shaft 44.
- the rollers 20 and the rollers 40 are arranged on a common shaft 46.
- the rollers 16 are rotationally fixed on the first shaft 44 and the rollers 20 are rotatably mounted on the second shaft 46.
- the first belt transport 15 is driven by driving the first and / or second shaft 44, 46.
- a separate drive can be provided (not shown), in particular if the first belt transport 15 is to transport in both directions (upwards and downwards).
- the rollers 34 and the rollers 40 are freely rotatably supported on the first shaft 44 and the second shaft 46, respectively.
- one of the rollers 34 and one of the rollers 40 can be coupled to the associated shaft 44 or 46 via a freewheel so that they can drive the associated shaft only in the direction of rotation that corresponds to the intended transport direction of the first belt transport 15. In this case, no separate drive for the first belt transport 15 is required, but the first belt transport 15 is driven by the second belt conveyor 33, 39 via the belt 32 and the belt 38 via said freewheels.
- the Fig. 3 to 5 are three consecutive snapshots in forming a sheet stack in the device. In the snapshots, the directions of rotation of the rollers and the directions of movement of the belts are indicated by the arrows opposite.
- the drives of the first belt transport 15 and of the second belt transport 5 are controlled by a control unit (not shown) in such a way that the following transport behavior results for the notes of value or banknotes to be transported.
- a first sheet 52 is transported in the transport path 24 of the first belt conveyor 15 upwards. All transport routes are shown greatly enlarged in the figures for the sake of clarity. In reality, the belts are on top of each other; however, due to the elasticity of the belts, a sheet can be passed between the belts.
- the leading end of the first sheet 52 has already abutted on the third belt 26 and was entrained due to its direction of rotation and thus bent to the right, while the rear part of the first sheet 52 is still tracked in the first belt conveyor 15.
- the first sheet 52 is inserted with its leading end in the second portion 39 of the second belt conveyor 5.
- the running direction of the rollers and belts is maintained until the first sheet 52 is completely in the second portion 39 of the second belt conveyor 5.
- the running direction of the belts 26, 32, 38 of the second belt conveyor 5 by reversing the direction of rotation of the rollers 28, 30; 36, 16; 20, 42 vice versa.
- a second sheet 54 in the first belt conveyor 15 is transported upwards ( Fig. 4 ).
- the transport direction reversal in the second belt transport 5 and the supply of the second sheet 54 are timed to one another such that the first and second sheets 52, 54 meet in the intermediate region between the first and second sections 33, 39 of the second belt transport 5 and together in the first portion 33 of the second belt conveyor 5 are introduced as in Fig. 4 is shown.
- the two sheets 52, 54 lie one above the other and the transport is continued until the stack of sheets 52, 54 are completely in the first section 33 of the second belt transport 5.
- the transport direction in the second belt conveyor 5, ie, the belt 26, 32 and 38 is reversed, so that the sheet stack 52, 54 moves back to the right, as in the snapshot of Fig. 5 is shown.
- a third sheet 56 in the first belt transport 15 is transported upwards (see Fig. 5 ).
- the leading ends of the sheet stack consisting of the first and second sheets 52, 54 and the third sheet 56 in turn meet in the intermediate region between the first and second sections 33, 39 of the second belt conveyor 5, are merged together into the second section 39 of FIG led second belt conveyor 5 and thus form a three leaves 52, 54 and 56 existing sheet stack (not shown).
- roller 28 and the roller 30 are adjustable in the vertical direction, so that the distance between the belt 26 on the one hand and the belt 32, 38 on the other hand can be adapted to the height of a forming sheet stack.
- the intermediate area between the first and second sections 33, 39 of the second belt transport 5 constitutes a branching point for sheets which are transported upwards in the first belt transport 15.
- a sheet or stack of sheets may be transported from one section 33 or 38 of the second belt conveyor 5 over the branching point to the other section 38 or 33 of the second belt conveyor 5.
- FIG. 6 an apparatus 58 for depositing and / or paying out banknotes is shown in a schematic cross-sectional view.
- the device 58 has a housing 60 with an input and output point 62, can be paid to the banknotes in the device 58 and issued from this, and a vault 64, in the interior banknote cassettes 66 are arranged.
- the device 58 further comprises a transport device 10 as described above.
- the outer end of the first section 33 of the second belt transport 5 is arranged at the input location 62, so that banknotes entered at the entry point 62 are introduced at the outer end into the first section 33 of the second belt transport 5 or banknotes which are in the second belt transport 5 be transported beyond the outer end of the first portion 33, enter the input and output point 62.
- the first belt conveyor 15 and the second belt conveyor 5 are independently drivable and the transport directions are reversible in both belt transports 5, 15. While however, a reversal of direction in the second belt transport 5 causes a displacement of a forming sheet stack from the one portion 33 in the other portion 38 of the second belt transport, upon reversing the direction of the first belt conveyor 15, the bills are conveyed into or out of the vault 64.
- banknotes are to be paid out of the device 58, they are first introduced from below into the first belt transport 15 with a transport device 68 which is not specified here. From this they are transported out through an opening 70 in the vault 64 from the vault 64, in the second belt transport 5 as in the Fig. 3 to 5 described stacked and then output at the input and output point 62.
- the device 10 of the device 58 has, in addition to the above-described components, a baffle 72 which extends from a neutral position (in FIG Fig. 6 dashed lines) in a deflection position is adjustable, in which it projects into the path of a located in the first or second portion of the second belt transport 5 bill and this deflects with the front edge in the first belt transport 15.
- a banknote entered at the entry and exit point 62 can thus be transported via the first section 33 of the second belt transport 5 and the first belt transport 15 into the vault 64, where it is taken over by the transport device 68 and specifically into one of the storage cassettes 66 be filed.
- first and the second portion 33, 39 of the second belt transport 5 has a sufficient length, so by controlling the direction of rotation of the rollers 28, 30; 36, 16; 20, 42 in the second belt conveyor 5 also two sets of sheets are formed side by side, for example, a stack for sorted banknotes whose quality is insufficient, for example, or whose authenticity is in question, and a stack of flawless banknotes.
- a waste stack can be formed on the side facing away from the input and output side 62 and removed by an authorized person. The prerequisite for this is that both sections 33, 39 of the second belt transport are formed long enough to accommodate two banknote stacks next to one another.

Description
The present invention relates to a transport device for the transport of banknotes, in particular banknotes. Such transport devices are used for example in ATMs and automatic cash vaults to transport banknotes or check forms. In addition to a straight-line transport often a branch in the transport path is necessary, for example, if banknotes are to be stored in one of several available cassettes or banknotes whose quality is insufficient or whose authenticity is questionable, must be discarded. For such branches usually switches are used, which are operated by drive means. However, such switches are usually complex and prone to failure.
The invention has for its object to provide a transport device for notes of value, with a branching of the transport path can be realized in a simple and störungsunanfällige way.
This object is achieved by a transport device which comprises a first belt transport and a second belt transport, wherein the second belt transport is arranged transversely to the first belt transport. Depending on the direction of rotation of the rollers used to guide and drive the belts, the sheet may be steered into the left or right portion of the second belt conveyor, thereby enabling a switch function without requiring separate drives or control means. In addition, by controlling the direction of rotation of the rollers, a sheet stack can be formed within the transport path of the second belt transport by successively transferring sheets from the first belt transport to the second belt transport and the new sheet under the already formed stack of sheets in the first or second section of the second belt transport is filed.

The
The
If only transport in one direction is provided in the
