Definitions
- door rams According to the current state, the opening of doors is carried out with so-called door rams.
- a door ram is designed as a heavy metal Rammst Zi with attached handles.
- To break open a door one or more persons hold the door ram and hit it against the door with the greatest possible force.
- the front door of this piling process must be repeated several times to break the door can.
- the object of the invention is therefore to provide a device with which even heavy and stable doors can be reliably opened with a single attack and which can be handled as possible only by a single person. Also for rescue operations, such a device can be of great advantage, so that does not pass about lifesaving time until a door is opened.
- the preamble of claim 1 is based on that of the WO 03/100342 A1 known prior art. From this document, a compressed gas shot device with the features of the preamble of claim 1 is known, which is provided for firing of ammunition balls filled with water. As a field of application, inter alia, the local destruction of slag approaches and caking in heat exchangers, industrial furnaces, combustion plants and the like is called.
- the ammunition balls may be filled with a marking substance or an irritant, which may also be accompanied by a powdery substance such as ground walnut shells, rice, metal particles or wood particles.
- the shot device consists of a compressed air cannon and an ammunition with granular heavy material, namely, for example shot gravel or chilled granules or epoxy resin with chilled granules, filled thin-walled hollow spheres made of plastic.
- the granulate-filled plastic hollow sphere achieves a very high kinetic energy and a very high momentum.
- the device according to the invention can be easily held in the hand. With a maximum weight in the range of about 12 to 15 kg and a maximum length of 80 to 90 cm, the device can be used by one person even in narrow stairwells without difficulty.
- the compressed air gun of the device according to the invention with other ammunition namely a water-filled plastic hollow sphere
- Such a compressed air gun also referred to as an industrial cannon, is used to dissolve slag adhesions in firing boilers of large heating installations.
- such compressed air guns are used to seal with plastic hollow spheres filled with water To shoot on the slaggy walls, whereby the slag attachments essentially flake off.
- Fig. 1 shows in side view, in a partially cutaway view, the compressed air gun 1 of the device according to the invention. Its essential components are a compressed air chamber 11, a shot tube 12, a shoulder support 13, a handle assembly 14, and a closure sleeve 15th
- the compressed air chamber 11 can be charged with compressed air via a compressed air hose 16, for example at a pressure of 25 bar.
- the front mounted on the compressed air chamber 11 shot tube 12 has at its rear end connected to the compressed air chamber 11 end up an opening 17 through which an ammunition ball 2 is inserted into the tube.
- This opening is closed by the axially displaceable closure sleeve 15, which is shown in its axially displaced forward opening position, and in its rearwardly displaced closed position by means of a bayonet lock, not shown, or the like. Locked.
- a resilient member projecting into the tube interior in the form of a spring steel strap 18 or the like.
- the only schematically drawn tab 18 serves only as an example of an organ fulfilling said function. It is also possible to make at least the rear part of the shot tube 12 with its clear width so narrow that the (elastically deformable) ammunition ball 2 has a relatively tight fit therein.
- valve 19 For firing the ammunition ball 2 is a schematically illustrated valve 19, the actuating mechanism known per se and therefore not shown and not described is that is suddenly opened, the compressed air content in the compressed air chamber 11 is released and expelled the ammunition ball 2 under strong acceleration from the shot tube 12.
- the shoulder support 13 serves to support the device 1 on the body to absorb the recoil.
- the device is designed for two-handed operation, in such a way that for safety reasons, the triggering of a shot can only be done when both hands are on the handle assembly 14. In this case, both arranged on the front and rear part of the handle assembly 14 release buttons 14a and 14b must be operated simultaneously.
- An ammunition ball 2 is in Fig. 2 shown. It is, as already mentioned in the introduction, a thin-walled plastic hollow sphere.
- the hollow plastic ball may for example consist of polypropylene with a wall thickness of the spherical shell of about 0.9 to 1.0 mm. The diameter is preferably about 70 mm, it can also be chosen slightly smaller or slightly larger.
- this hollow plastic ball has an inwardly drawn filler neck 21, with which the filler can be filled into the ball, in particular shotgun or metal pellets or other heavy granulated material, such as sand, fine gravel, mixed materials or the like. Thereafter, the filler neck 21 is closed with a stopper (not shown) and the ammunition ball thus completed may be used.
- a plastic hollow sphere with a diameter of 70 mm for example, has a weight of about 670 g.
- the use of chilled granules with epoxy resin has proven to be a filler material of the hollow plastic ball. It is a granulate of metal hard casting with preferably spherical grain shape and a grain size approximately in the range of 0.6 to 1.9 millimeters and a specific weight of about 7.3 kg / gm. 3 These granules are mixed with epoxy resin, which has been mixed with an appropriate amount of hardener, and then filled into the plastic hollow sphere, where the epoxy resin sets and solidifies. Depending on the used hardener will be one more or less high strength of the epoxy resin achieved.
- This ball has a diameter of 70 mm as well as a shot filling with a weight of about 670 g.
- the epoxy resin hard granulate filling has, for example compared to a shot filling or other filling of loose unbonded material the advantage that the ball is hard and dimensionally stable and thus when shooting from the compressed air gun the operating pressure considerably, namely increased to about 40 bar can.
- the operating pressure increase to 40 bar of course, a corresponding increase in the kinetic energy achieved during the launch of the ball and thus the momentum of the ball, based on their projected area, connected.
- This is important because the qualities of the doors to open can be very different.
- today so-called multi-lock doors are common, d. H. Front doors with several tumblers distributed around their circumference. These are difficult to open on their construction and the very intensive locking with the door frame.
- the ammunition in the form of the filled plastic ball must meet the criterion that it represents no significant risk to the user, in particular the projectile bounce in no case, but rather part in the impact on the door, plastically deform and like that. This requirement is met very well by the ball with epoxy resin-chilled cast granulate filling.
- Fig. 3 schematically shows the device according to the invention in use.
- the compressed air gun 1 with compressed air chamber 11 and shot tube 12 is held by a person shown schematically, which carries a compressed air cylinder 3 for loading the compressed air chamber 11 via the compressed air hose 16.
- the drawing shows the shooting process with the bullet 12 leaving ammunition ball. 2
- the operation of the compressed air gun can be done with the use of plastic balls with water filling or unbound granulate filling with pressures between about 10 and about 30 bar, in a ball with epoxydharzoffer chilled granulate filling but with an increased pressure of about 40 bar.
- the diameter of the ammunition ball can, as I said, about 70 mm or slightly below, but also be up to about 90 mm.
- the speed of the ammunition ball ejected from the shot tube during firing is about 80 to about 135 m / s, depending on the used dxuck air pressure, for ammunition pellets filled with water or filled with unbound granules.
- a filled with shotgun ball with a ball diameter of 70 mm and a ball weight of about 670 g and a ball speed of about 115 m / s, which is achieved using a compressed air pressure of 20 bar this has on the door to be opened impacting projectile has a kinetic energy of about 4,450
- the speed of the ammunition ball expelled from the firing tube during firing is about 160 m / s when the compressed-air gun is operated with a pressure of 30 bar and the ammunition ball has a kinetic energy of about 8,600 when hitting the door to be opened J.
- the filled with epoxy resin-bonded chilled granules reaches a kinetic energy of about 16,200 J. when hitting the door to be opened.
- the compressed air gun according to the invention can be recharged by simple reloading in a maximum of about 8 s. As a result, several doors can be opened in quick succession, if necessary.

Description
In order to allow police units or special forces to gain access to people in apartments, the fastest possible opening of the front door or apartment door is an essential prerequisite. Such a quickest possible opening of the house or apartment door can also be significant for rescue operations.
According to the current state, the opening of doors is carried out with so-called door rams. Such a door ram is designed as a heavy metal Rammstempel with attached handles. To break open a door, one or more persons hold the door ram and hit it against the door with the greatest possible force. Depending on the design and qualitative execution of the front door of this piling process must be repeated several times to break the door can.
This door breaking with the conventional mechanical ram can be very dangerous in a police operation because of the time required. A criminal behind the door, warned by the first unsuccessful ram, can shoot through the door and severely injure or even kill personnel before the door can be opened. That there is also a high risk of injury in the handling of the mechanical ram for breaking up especially heavy and stable doors, in addition, is added.
Especially for a police operation, it is therefore essential to reliably open the first blow on a door. The object of the invention is therefore to provide a device with which even heavy and stable doors can be reliably opened with a single attack and which can be handled as possible only by a single person. Also for rescue operations, such a device can be of great advantage, so that does not pass about lifesaving time until a door is opened.
This object is achieved according to the invention by a compressed gas gun according to claim 1. Advantageous embodiments of the invention are the subject of Unteratasprüche.
The shot device according to the invention consists of a compressed air cannon and an ammunition with granular heavy material, namely, for example shot gravel or chilled granules or epoxy resin with chilled granules, filled thin-walled hollow spheres made of plastic. The granulate-filled plastic hollow sphere achieves a very high kinetic energy and a very high momentum. Upon impact of the granulated plastic ball shot down from a distance of about 20 cm to 1 m onto the door leaf, the door opens due to the enormous impact. The plastic ball is destroyed in the impact. No dangerous splinters or the like are released, which could possibly be dangerous for the user. Since the ball disassembles on impact on the door leaf, a risk of injury to a person located directly behind the door is extremely low.
With the device according to the invention it is thus possible that emergency personnel can open and access a locked door as quickly and efficiently as possible. By the sudden opening of the door reliably at the first shot access for the access staff is much safer and easier. For the user, the use of compressed air gun with the described ammunition is safe. His protective clothing such as gloves, helmet, vest, etc. protects him. The ammunition in the form of a granular filled hollow plastic ball is designed so that any rebounding and the user can not cause injury granules.
The device according to the invention can be easily held in the hand. With a maximum weight in the range of about 12 to 15 kg and a maximum length of 80 to 90 cm, the device can be used by one person even in narrow stairwells without difficulty.
The compressed air gun of the device according to the invention with other ammunition, namely a water-filled plastic hollow sphere, is already known per se for a completely different purpose. Such a compressed air gun, also referred to as an industrial cannon, is used to dissolve slag adhesions in firing boilers of large heating installations. In order to be able to substantially relieve slag adhesions from time to time in such firing kettles that are too large for their walls to be accessible to slag attachments with mechanical tools from cleaners, to substantially free slag adhesions without stoppage, such compressed air guns are used to seal with plastic hollow spheres filled with water To shoot on the slaggy walls, whereby the slag attachments essentially flake off.
Although optimized for the purpose of the invention training of compressed air shotgun with a filled with granules, especially shotgun or metal balls or epoxy resin bonded chilled granules plastic ball as ammunition because of the multiple higher pulse is particularly advantageous, but it is in principle possible to use a water-filled ball. The new use of the device known per se with a water-filled plastic ball is the subject of a use claim.
Practical tests on solid wood beams (spruce) with a cross section of 8 cm x 12 cm and on 6 cm thick pressboard have the efficiency and penetration and thus the usability of the device according to the invention or the inventive use for breaking doors and the like. The

To be particularly advantageous and useful, especially for achieving very high breakdown effects, the use of chilled granules with epoxy resin has proven to be a filler material of the hollow plastic ball. When using chilled granules with epoxy resin in this way results in a dimensionally stable and relatively hard ball, since the hard granules are bound in the ball through the curing epoxy resin to form a solid rigid body. This ball has a diameter of 70 mm as well as a shot filling with a weight of about 670 g.
However, the epoxy resin hard granulate filling has, for example compared to a shot filling or other filling of loose unbonded material the advantage that the ball is hard and dimensionally stable and thus when shooting from the compressed air gun the operating pressure considerably, namely increased to about 40 bar can. With such an operating pressure increase to 40 bar, of course, a corresponding increase in the kinetic energy achieved during the launch of the ball and thus the momentum of the ball, based on their projected area, connected. This is important because the qualities of the doors to open can be very different. In particular, today so-called multi-lock doors are common, d. H. Front doors with several tumblers distributed around their circumference. These are difficult to open on their construction and the very intensive locking with the door frame.
Nevertheless, of course, must be taken into account that the ammunition in the form of the filled plastic ball must meet the criterion that it represents no significant risk to the user, in particular the projectile bounce in no case, but rather part in the impact on the door, plastically deform and like that. This requirement is met very well by the ball with epoxy resin-chilled cast granulate filling. On the one hand causes the epoxy resin bond of the chilled granules that the impact of the ball during impact even more concentrated in the impact direction acts on the door in question, as is the case with loose granules filling, where the bursting of the plastic sheath a strong lateral spreading of the granules is enabled but on the other hand takes place during impact and bursting of the ball and a plastic deformation of the relatively hard compared to chilled granulate epoxy resin binder material, and the ball burst, as test bullets have resulted from a firing distance of about 40 cm on a hard baffle in relatively few large fragments without splintering and bouncing.
The operation of the compressed air gun can be done with the use of plastic balls with water filling or unbound granulate filling with pressures between about 10 and about 30 bar, in a ball with epoxydharzgebundener chilled granulate filling but with an increased pressure of about 40 bar. The diameter of the ammunition ball can, as I said, about 70 mm or slightly below, but also be up to about 90 mm.
The speed of the ammunition ball ejected from the shot tube during firing is about 80 to about 135 m / s, depending on the used dxuck air pressure, for ammunition pellets filled with water or filled with unbound granules. For example, in a filled with shotgun ball with a ball diameter of 70 mm and a ball weight of about 670 g and a ball speed of about 115 m / s, which is achieved using a compressed air pressure of 20 bar, this has on the door to be opened impacting projectile has a kinetic energy of about 4,450
The speed of the ammunition ball expelled from the firing tube during firing is about 160 m / s when the compressed-air gun is operated with a pressure of 30 bar and the ammunition ball has a kinetic energy of about 8,600 when hitting the door to be opened J. When operating the compressed air gun at 40 bar, the filled with epoxy resin-bonded chilled granules reaches a kinetic energy of about 16,200 J. when hitting the door to be opened. So you can see when using an ammunition ball with epoxy resin-bonded chilled granulate filling when operating the compressed air gun with a Pressure of 30 bar about twice the kinetic energy of a shotgun filled ammunition ball of the same size and mass, when operating the compressed air gun with a Pressure of 40 bar even four times the kinetic energy of a shotgun ammunition ball of the same size and mass can be achieved.
The compressed air gun according to the invention can be recharged by simple reloading in a maximum of about 8 s. As a result, several doors can be opened in quick succession, if necessary.
