Definitions
- the invention initially relates to a luminaire according to the preamble of claim 1.
- the invention relates both to interior lights that illuminate a building wall, so for example, a floor or ceiling or a room wall within a room, as well as outdoor lights that are attached, for example, on an outer wall of a building and illuminate a building from the outside.
- the invention relates to a luminaire for large-scale and homogeneous, that is uniform illumination of building surfaces.
- objects ie, for example, works of art od. Like. Be lit up.
- the luminaire according to the invention is arranged fixed to the building, that is, for example, attached to a building ceiling, to a building wall, to a building floor or to an external building area.
- a floodlight which has a luminaire housing, in the interior of which three differently colored T16 fluorescent lamps, namely a red, a green and a blue fluorescent lamp are arranged.
- the fluorescent lamps are individually controllable and produce a continuously variable colored light for illuminating wall surfaces or facades.
- the three fluorescent lamps are aligned parallel to each other and arranged near the lamp opening.
- a diffuser and a Softec lens allow a mixture of the three primary colors already in the luminaire opening, so that the light color produced on the surface of the building to be illuminated appears absolutely uniform.
- a luminaire which has a wide-span, concave reflector below which a light source arrangement comprising two colored light sources is arranged.
- the light sources are surrounded by a "W" shaped counter reflector. Due to the very high overall luminaire shape, optimal illumination is not possible here.
- the WO03 / 048634 discloses a luminaire comprising a luminaire housing, with a light source unit, at least one reflector element and a luminaire opening, wherein the light source unit is formed by an internally mirrored hollow body.
- the object of the invention is to develop the known lamp such that a further improved, uniformly homogeneous illumination of the building surface is possible.
- the invention solves this object with the features of claim 1, in particular with those of the characterizing part, and is accordingly characterized in that the light source unit is formed by a substantially closed, internally mirrored, circular cylindrical in cross-section hollow body in which three different colored light sources along a circular line around a central axis of the hollow body, are arranged equidistant from each other, and having a light exit opening, through which emitted by the light sources.
- Light color mixed through passes, wherein the reflector element is arranged in the light path between the light exit opening and the lamp opening, that at least the majority of the light source unit emitted and incident on the building surface light is reflected by the reflector element, and wherein the light source unit is at least partially within the lamp housing.
- the principle of the invention is in. Substantially is to arrange a separate unit in the form of a hollow body within the lamp housing, which receives the differently colored light sources, and which is mirrored on its inside, so that within this hollow body already an optimal color Mixing of the light occurs.
- the hollow body has a light exit opening, through which the light emitted by the light sources can leave the hollow body already homogeneously mixed. Subsequently, the majority of the light leaving the hollow body hits a reflector element of the luminaire, before it leaves the luminaire through the luminaire opening and impinges on the building surface to be illuminated.
- the formulation according to which the hollow body is substantially closed means that the hollow body has a precisely defined light exit opening and the remaining wall areas which define the hollow body are opaque, in particular reflective, and, due to their reflection, mixed with that emitted by the light sources Provide light.
- a mirror coating according to the invention for example, a metallic surface can be understood, which may also be mounted separately on a hollow plastic body. Alternatively, however, as mirroring, for example, a polished inner side is understood, if this ensures a multiple reflection within the hollow body.
- the decisive factor is that the inside of the hollow body reflects the light emitted by the light sources in such a way that multiple reflections occur within the hollow body, which ensure optimum mixing of the light within the hollow body.
- the light exit opening of the hollow body may for example be a mere opening in the wall of the hollow body, but alternatively may also be formed by a partially translucent or translucent element which is at least partially mirrored on its inside. In the latter case, only part of the light emitted by the light source and striking the inner side of the light exit opening forming element passing light through the light exit opening pass through, wherein a residual part of this light is reflected back into the interior of the hollow body and there for multiple reflections for further mixing with other light rays is available.
- two differently colored light sources are arranged, wherein more, for example three or four light sources, in particular in the form of elongated fluorescent lamps, may be arranged.
- three different light sources it is preferably provided that a red, a blue and a green lamp are arranged.
- a plurality of light sources with different shades of white may be provided, so that by controlling the individual light sources, ie by dimming or switching, produces different shades of white, so can be mixed.
- Suitable light sources are fluorescent lamps, compact fluorescent lamps, QT-DE lamps, high-voltage halogen lamps, etc. into consideration.
- the light colors can be produced for example by colored phosphors.
- standard lamps with film filters can be provided to achieve differently colored light sources.
- color filter glass tubes can be used to produce the different colors.
- the light exit opening of the hollow body is preferably formed by a translucent element.
- This may for example consist of two films, wherein the first, inner film is mirror-finished on its inside and structured on its outer side.
- a second, externally arranged film may be, for example, a diffuser film, which promotes the color mixture.
- the hollow body may for example consist of a metallic sheet, for example of aluminum and be bent accordingly in the desired shape, for example in a circular cylindrical or tubular shape.
- the translucent element which provides the light exit opening can also be an extruded plastic element or a plastic injection-molded part.
- a luminaire in which a light source unit with two light sources is arranged below a reflector.
- the document can not be deduced that the light source unit is at least partially disposed within a lamp housing.
- the hollow body is formed by a substantially cylindrical element which extends along a hollow body axis.
- a very elongated receiving space for the light sources is possible, which allows the housing, for example, also of T16 fluorescent lamps.
- the space available for the mixture of different light colors volume, namely the interior of the hollow body correspondingly large dimensioned, which favors a mixing of different light colors.
- the hollow body has a substantially circular cylindrical cross-section.
- a continuous curved inner peripheral surface of the hollow body is possible, which at minimized Space requirement ensures a particularly homogeneous color mixing.
- the light exit opening on the hollow body takes up a circumferential area of between 90 ° and 150 °, preferably of approx. 120 °, a.
- this allows a sufficiently large light exit opening, which permits the use of known reflector arrangements and light paths of luminaires of the prior art, so that the light source unit can, for example, replace a prior art light source unit with regard to its geometric arrangement, without requiring significant changes to the luminaire become.
- the light emerging from the light exit opening of the hollow body emerges essentially along a preferred direction, which is indicated by the arrows P 1 and P 2 in the figure explained below.
- such a dimensioned light exit opening still provides a sufficiently large space for the color mixing of the light emitted by the differently colored light sources.
- the light exit opening is partially translucent.
- the translucent element is formed from two films arranged one above the other or the like.
- the inside of the light exit opening or the translucent element is mirrored, so that a part of the light is reflected back into the interior of the hollow body and there is available for a multiple reflection available. The remaining portion of the light passes through the light exit opening of the hollow body and reaches the reflector.
- the light exit opening is formed elongated. It may, for example, extend substantially over the axial length of the hollow body. This allows a particularly simple construction of the hollow body.
- the length of the light exit opening substantially corresponds to the length of the light sources. This allows a particularly homogeneous and efficient illumination of the building surface.
- the light sources are each stretched along an axis. This allows a particularly large homogeneous illumination of a building surface.
- the light sources have a rotationally symmetrical emission characteristic about this axis (longitudinal axis).
- the light sources are thus in each case in cross-section punctiform light sources which have an at least substantially uniform light distribution or emission characteristic in a 360 ° region about their axis.
- Such rotationally symmetrical or at least non-directed light emission is known, for example, from axially elongated fluorescent lamps.
- Such a light source offers the possibility of a particularly good color mixing, with the luminaire according to the invention the possibility of differently colored light sources with a non-directional light distribution within the hollow body homogeneously mixed, wherein due to the light exit opening of the hollow body, the mixed color light along a preferred direction leave the hollow body and thus is available for further processing within the luminaire and in the sense of a targeted light control by reflection via a reflector, with a correspondingly predetermined reflector curvature, can be directed or steered.
- the light sources are aligned substantially parallel to each other. This allows a particularly compact design of the light source unit and a particularly good color mixing.
- the light sources are aligned parallel to the hollow body axis. This allows a particularly compact design of the light source unit.
- the light sources are formed by fluorescent lamps. This allows the use of conventional light sources, so that known connection elements and the like, such as lamp sockets, lamp contacts, etc., can be used.
- the invention relates to a light source unit for illuminating a building surface or part of a building, which is used for use in a luminaire described above.
- a light source unit In the previously known "Focalflood" luminaire described above, three fluorescent lamps are combined via lateral sockets to form a light source unit.
- This light source unit is disposed within a lamp housing, which is closed by a diffuser disk. Within the lamp housing, a separate reflector element is arranged, in which the light source unit is located.
- a substantially closed, internally mirrored hollow body in which at least two different colored light sources, for. B. two fluorescent lamps, are arranged, and having a light exit opening through which the light emitted by the light sources passes through in color.
- An advantageous idea thus consists essentially in associating with the light source unit a substantially closed hollow body which has a light exit opening.
- the hollow body is mirrored on the inside and may for example have a circular cross-section.
- a light exit opening can assume an approximately 120 ° opening.
- the light exit opening can advantageously be occupied by a translucent element, for example by a diffuser element.
- the light source unit can be installed in a luminaire housing, preferably also in different luminaire housings. It can illuminate the building surface directly or illuminate the building surface only after reflection of the light emerging from the light exit opening on a reflector element arranged in the luminaire housing. Preferably, the colored mixed light leaves the light exit opening of the hollow body along a preferred direction.
- the light source unit can also be used without a separate luminaire housing directly as a light and, for example, at its two end portions of the hollow body with corresponding electrical connection elements, such as ballasts, be equipped and suspended like a pendant light on the ceiling side.
- the wall of the hollow body can provide the luminaire housing directly, wherein the Inside the wall of the hollow body is mirrored. A separate luminaire housing is unnecessary in this case.
- the light source unit described in this patent application which is attached to a lamp housing, can also be used as a separate light source unit without an additional luminaire housing.
- the described light source unit can also be arranged in a luminaire housing, which manages without a separate reflector element, so that the light source unit illuminates the building surface directly.
- the luminaire according to the invention is in the Fig. 1 denoted by 10 in their entirety. It comprises a substantially box-like luminaire housing 11, a light source unit 12 arranged on the luminaire housing 11 and located at least partially, preferably completely, within the luminaire housing 11, and a reflector element 13.
- the box-shaped lamp housing 11 includes side walls 26a, 26b, 26c, a fourth side wall, not shown, and a wall 27 forming a bottom of the lamp housing 11.
- the luminaire 10 is fastened to an only schematically indicated ceiling 14 of a room within a building.
- only indicated and flat with 28 designated fasteners are provided, which is a suspended ceiling wall 15 engage behind and set the light 10 in this way the building side.
- the reflector element 13 is connected via fastening elements 29 with the lamp housing 11. Between the reflector element 13 and the lamp housing 11 are schematically indicated and designated in their entirety by 30 connecting elements, which are e.g. may include the electrical connections for the light source unit 12, for example, transformers, capacitors, etc.
- the light source unit 12 is shown only schematically and connected in unspecified manner with the lamp housing 11, in particular with the side wall 26 b of the lamp housing 11. From the light source unit 12 to be described in detail later, light, indicated by the arrows P 1 , P 2 , emerges essentially along a preferred direction (namely, the arrow direction), strikes the reflector element 13 and becomes substantially along the light path of the arrows P 3 and P 4 thrown on a bottom wall 16 of the room. The bottom wall 16 thus represents the surface of the building to be illuminated.
- the distance A between the suspended ceiling wall 15 of the building space and the bottom wall 16 is shown exaggeratedly small and therefore the representation of the lamp 10, based on this distance A, is not true to scale.
- the distance A is several meters, for example 3 m.
- the width B of the lamp housing 11 is actually approximately, for example, between 10 and 50 cm.
- the light source unit 12 is formed by a substantially circular cylindrical, ie tubular hollow body 17, which may consist for example of a metallic sheet, in particular of aluminum.
- An approx. 120 ° circumferential segment (angle ⁇ ) of the hollow body 17 is occupied by a light exit opening 18.
- Light can escape from the interior 31 of the hollow body 17 exclusively through the light exit opening 18, which should also illustrate the arrows P 1 , P 2 .
- the remaining 240 ° peripheral portion or portion of the hollow body 17 is opaque.
- three light sources preferably three fluorescent lamps 21, 22, 23 are arranged.
- the fluorescent lamps generate differently colored light, so that it is, for example, a red, a green and a blue fluorescent lamp.
- the fluorescent lamps each have a geometric axis M 1 , M 2 , M 3 , which extends substantially parallel to the central axis 19 of the hollow body 17.
- the three fluorescent lamps 21, 22, 23 are thus arranged parallel to one another and also arranged parallel to the hollow body 17 extending transversely to the plane of the paper.
- Fig. 1 Moreover, it can be seen that the centers M 1 , M 2 , M 3 are arranged along a circular line 20 about the central axis 19 of the hollow body around.
- Each of the three fluorescent lamps 21, 22, 23 is thus arranged to the center 19 of the hollow body 17 at an equal distance.
- the three fluorescent lamps 21, 22, 23 are equidistant from each other in the circumferential direction.
- the inside 32 of the hollow body 17 is mirrored, so that the light emitted by the individual light sources 21, 22, 23 in each case substantially rotationally symmetrical to the associated axis M 1 , M 2 , M 3 light is reflected multiple times on the inside 32. Within the hollow body 17, this results in a very homogeneous color mixing.
- the mixed-color light can exit through the light exit opening 18.
- the light exit opening is preferably provided by a translucent element 33, which is mirrored on its inside 25.
- the translucent element 33 is in this way only partially translucent, so that a portion of the light from the three fluorescent lamps 21, 22, 23 on the inside 25 of the element 33 incident light is reflected back into the interior 31 and there for further mixing is available, wherein the remaining light component leaves the hollow body 17 through the light exit opening 18 therethrough.
- the reflector element 13 By far the predominant part of the light emitted by the three light sources 21, 22, 23 strikes the reflector element 13 after it has left the hollow body 17 through the light exit opening 18 and only then reaches the bottom surface 16.
- the lamp according to the invention it is achieved that within the hollow body 17 is already a very good color mixing of the light emitted from the light sources 21, 22, 23 and light is already in the light exit opening 18 color mixed with light available.
- This mixed-color light is passed to the reflector 13, whereby a further homogenization of the color mixture can occur.
- the building surface 16, which may for example be formed over a very large area, can be illuminated very homogeneously, without the three individual light sources 21, 22, 23 color in some form are still resolvable, so that on the building surface 16 no different shades more recognizable are. That of the three light sources 21, 22, 23 provided light can be mixed accordingly by controlling the individual light sources, for example by dimming or switching. This mixed light is in this way an adjustable, homogeneous monochromatic light.
- the translucent element 33 may, for example, consist of two interconnected, for example, welded or glued films.
- a first inner film may be mirrored on the inner side and structured on its outer side.
- the second, outer film may be formed in the manner of a known diffuser film.
- the three light sources 21, 22, 23 are formed by conventional 1116 mm T16 fluorescent lamps. Accordingly, the hollow body 17 is formed in a direction transverse to the plane of the paper substantially as long as the fluorescent lamps or slightly longer. Also, the lamp housing 11 and thus the entire lamp 10 is longer than a fluorescent lamp to allow accommodation of the hollow body 17 with the light sources within the lamp housing 11.
- the attachment of the fluorescent lamps can be done either directly on the lamp housing by appropriate connection socket or lampholders or directly on the hollow body.
- the symmetrical arrangement of the light sources within the hollow body 17 can also be chosen quite differently.
- the number of light sources and the type of light sources is arbitrary.
- the geometric shape of the hollow body 17 can be adjusted accordingly.
- elongate lamps which radiate essentially rotationally symmetrically around their longitudinal axis M 1 , M 2 , M 3 are used.
- the lamp opening 24 is in the embodiment of Fig. 1 essentially bounded by a foot region 34 of the reflector element 13 and a side section 35 of the translucent element 33. Through this luminaire opening 24 passes homogeneously mixed color, that is monochromatic light.
- the luminaire opening 24 is in the embodiment of Fig. 1 leave as a mere opening. However, it can also be formed by a lens element, a cover plate, a cover glass, possibly also with light-scattering elements or prismatic disks.
- the translucent element 33 may be, for example, an extruded plastic profile. This can, for example, also releasably secured to the hollow body 17, for example, pivotally mounted, so that upon opening of the element 33 access to the interior 31 consists, for example, to replace a lamp.
- the translucent element 33 may also be referred to as a diffuser element. This is advantageously directly on the hollow body 17, so e.g. attached to edge regions of the bent metal sheet. A separate attachment of the diffuser element 33 to a light housing is therefore unnecessary.
- the inner side 25 of the translucent element 33 has a curvature which continues the curvature of the inner side 32 of the hollow body 17. In this way, a continuously continuously curved interior 31 can be achieved, which ensures a particularly advantageous color mixing of the light.
- the light source unit 12 can be designed as a tuned, so photometrically optimized system and in different luminaire housings are used.
- the light source unit may, for example, have different lengths and be used in the manner of a module. Thus, different luminaires with different geometric arrangements of luminaire housing and reflector can fall back on the same light source unit.
