Abstract

The invention relates to a transport device (10) for a plurality of golf clubs, which comprises a housing part and a handle (11), mounted on said housing part. Description

The invention relates to a transport device for a plurality of golf clubs, which has a receiving part and a carrier attached to the receiving part.

In particular, the invention relates to a transport device according to the preamble of patent claim 1.

Such transport devices have been known for many years in a variety of designs. As a rule, this is a cylindrical body which forms a receiving part and is designed in the form of a quiver. In the interior of the receiving part of the golf clubs are added, optionally with transverse webs are mounted in the upper part of a so-called golf bag to separate the golf clubs in groups from each other so that they can be easily inserted and removed. On the outside of such a cylindrical golf bag either a handle and / or a shoulder belt are mounted to transport the golf bag can.

Such conventional transport devices have, depending on the design, sometimes a considerable weight, especially if they are designed to be stable for travel purposes and contain additional pockets or compartments to accommodate balls, rain gear and the like.

In some cases, it is not necessary to have all 14 clubs of a complete set of clubs on a round of golf. In some cases, in the evening you just want to play a little round of golf with a few clubs and relax with as little ballast as possible. In such cases, the use of a typical cylindrical golf bag is not ideal because it is bulky on the one hand and on the other hand brings unnecessary weight.

A transport device according to the preamble of claim 1 is known from US-A-4,747,490 known. It is a conventional commercial cool box, which is provided with additional facilities to convert them at the same time in a transport device for golf clubs. Such a converted cool box must, according to its basic function, have a considerable internal capacity for receiving and accommodating drinks and food, so that the conventional transport device is naturally bulky. At the same time the golferischen aspects only limited calculation. The weight ratios of golf clubs and their geometry are but in the US-A-4,747,490 not taken into account, so that the individual clamping devices must be designed with strong spring force to avoid unwanted dropping the golf clubs in practice and to ensure their support reliable. In such clamping devices, the golf clubs must each be carefully used before further transport can take place.

The US-A-5,209,539 describes a transport device for golf clubs, which has two pivotally interconnected support plates, on each of which paired clamping devices or clips are provided, which serve to receive the respective shaft of a golf club in two relatively close adjacent locations in resilient engagement.

Also in this conventional transport device, the clamping devices must be formed with strong spring force to reliably ensure the retention of golf clubs. The clubs must be carefully inserted into the clamping devices to prevent them falling down during transport. This is also because there the club heads of the adjacent golf clubs are close to each other and inevitably move against each other, so that considerable holding forces are required.

Since the pairs of clamping devices in the US-A-5,209,539 relatively close to each other, the weight distributions within golf clubs and their geometry with the conically widening handles are also not taken into account there. The centrally provided arrangement of the carrying handle does not sufficiently take into account the weight distribution of a transport device loaded with golf clubs.

From the US-A-2 267 226 is a transport device for golf clubs known, which is constructed in the form of a slim suitcase and offers in its interior container for receiving golf balls and other equipment. On the one vertical wall from top to bottom extending webs are attached, which form U-shaped receptacles or slots in which the shafts of golf clubs can be accommodated. Each golf club is picked up in a pair of adjacent slots and then clamped.

Even such a conventional support device does not take into account the weight distribution of the individual golf clubs and their geometry with the conically widening handles. It is also not apparent from the description of how several golf clubs can be accommodated one above the other in such a way that the heads of the golf clubs do not necessarily interfere with each other. The aspect that in golf clubs the main weight of the rackets in the club head and thus exerts a one-sided load on the transport device is not discussed there.

The US-A-3,219,083 discloses a transport device for golf clubs, in which a curved support tube is provided, which has at its one lower end a cup-shaped receptacle for the grip ends of golf clubs, wherein the handles are received in this container. On the opposite upper side of the support tube, a hinged vertical part is mounted, which in turn has U-shaped supports for the golf clubs, which are apparently all fixed in the vicinity of the vertical part with corresponding bands.

At the bottom of the vertical part of the transport device according to the US-A-3,219,083 a mandrel is provided, which must be carefully placed in the ground for depositing the transport device described there, so that the transport device does not fall over. The design described therein entails that the transport device has little inherent stability when it is discontinued by the user.

In the US-A-2,990,865 a golf club support frame is described, which is designed as a tubular construction. The U-shaped arrangement with a front support and a rear support, which are interconnected via a connecting part, provides a symmetrical construction, on which a handle is provided.

At the two carriers of the device according to the US-A-2,990,865 opposite pairs of clamping elements are provided, behind which a shaft of a golf club can be engaged. Also in this case, the clamping devices must exert considerable spring forces on the golf clubs, so that they are reliably held in the transport device during transport. This is because even there the weight distribution of necessarily top-heavy golf clubs can not be considered otherwise. It also follows that the golf clubs must be taken very carefully out of the transport device and used again to hold them reliably.

In the U.S.-A-3,215,181 there is provided a golf club transporting device which is formed as a box-shaped frame having vertical frame members to which are mounted paired mating clamps which resiliently support the shafts of golf clubs. Similarly as in the other conventional arrangements described above, there too, the clamps must exert considerable spring forces to reliably support the golf clubs housed therein.

Due to the required clamping devices, the removal and insertion of golf clubs must also be carried out very carefully there, to achieve a reliable fixing of the golf clubs and to avoid unwanted bending of the clamping devices. There, the weight distributions of the individual golf clubs and their geometry are not taken into account.

Finally, out of the US-A-3 399 939 a box for accommodating various utensils for fishing known. There are several removable compartments are provided in the box. The specific problems of a golf club transport device are not included in this document.

The invention is therefore an object of the invention to provide a transport device for a variety of golf clubs, which has a low weight, can be easily accommodated and is a practical device in which the golf clubs can be taken sorted considering their usual designs in a simple manner.

To solve this problem, a transport device for a plurality of golf clubs is defined, which is defined in claim 1. Advantageous developments of the transport device according to the invention are specified in the subclaims.

According to the invention, it is a transport device for a plurality of golf clubs, which has a receiving part and a carrier attached to the receiving part, wherein the receiving part is formed as a flat support, which has for each golf club in the longitudinal direction, upwardly open receptacles; wherein the golf clubs are juxtaposed and separately from each other on the support receivable; wherein the transversely mounted supports have spacers for positioning the shafts of the golf clubs so that the club heads and the club grips of adjacent golf clubs do not interfere with each other; and wherein the receptacles are substantially symmetrical about the centerline of the device through a handle. Furthermore, with the oblique arrangement of the handle on the carrier at the same time ensured that the transport device can be transported in a pleasant way, without having to counteract the top of the load of the golf clubs loaded transport device. The receiving part as a flat support is expediently formed substantially horizontally, but may also curved upwards (concave) or curved downwards (convex), so that any moisture from the top can drain easily.

In a further development of the device according to the invention it is provided that the receptacles are formed trough-shaped or U-shaped at the top of the support. These do not need to extend over the entire length of the receiving part, but it is sufficient if such recordings extend over part of the flat support or are designed as spaced recordings to sort the racquets and keep separated. In particular, the recordings do not need to extend over the entire length of the golf clubs, but can absorb them only in sections or at two spaced locations in the longitudinal direction of the shafts.

It is particularly useful if in the device according to the invention the support is designed as a plate integrally formed or molded on or in the receptacles. Such a device requires a minimum of material and weight and yet provides for reliable positioning of the golf clubs.

In a further development of the device according to the invention it is provided that the support has a plurality of recesses which are accessible from the top and in which teas or a pitch fork can be accommodated. It is particularly advantageous if, in such a device, the recesses are arranged in the support in such a way that they are located in front of and / or behind the attachment lug of the handle in the longitudinal direction of the device. In development of the device according to the invention it is provided that the device has at least one leg for parking the device in the transport position, wherein the leg optionally has a downwardly projecting mandrel. In a special design of the device according to the invention it is provided that the hole is provided in the lower region of the container and has a releasable lock which prevents unintentional falling out of golf balls. The device 10 itself consists of suitable materials, in particular wood, plastic or metal or composites of these materials, which can be produced with a smooth and insensitive surface. Claims (23)

1. A transport device (10) for a plurality of-golf clubs, comprising a receiving portion and a carrier (11) mounted to the receiving portion, wherein the receiving portion is formed as a flat support (20) having, for each of the golf clubs receivers (22), extending in longitudinal direction and open at the top,
   wherein the golf clubs can be received in the receivers (20) lying adjacent to each other and separated from each other,
   wherein the receivers (22) have spacers (21, 32) in lateral direction of the support (20) by means of which spacers the shafts of the golf clubs can be positioned in such a manner that the club heads and the club grips of adjacent golf clubs do not interfere with each other,
   and wherein the receivers (22) extend essentially symmetrically with respect to the center line extending through a handle (11) of the device, characterized in that in a top view of the support (20) the receivers (22) are arranged closer to each other at the front side (12) than at the rear side (13), and in that the carrier (11) includes such a handle (11) on the support (20) which extends in the longitudinal direction of the support (20) and the upper part of which is inclined under an acute angle with respect to the topside of the support (20), preferably under an angle between 10° and 40°.
2. The device according to claim 1,
   characterized in that the receivers (22) are formed trough-shaped or U-shaped on the topside of the support (20).
3. The device according to claim 1 or 2,
   characterized in that the support (20) is formed as a plate to which or in which the receivers (22) are integrally molded.
4. The device according to any of claims 1 to 3,
   characterized in that the support (20) comprises a plurality of recesses (51, 52) which are accessible from the topside and in which tees and a pitch fork, respectively can be received.
5. The device according to claim 4,
   characterized in that the recesses (51, 52) are provided in the support (20) in such a manner that they are located in the longitudinal direction of the device before and/or behind the fixation base (14) of the handle (11).
6. The device according to any of claims 1 to 5,
   characterized by at least one leg (30, 40) for putting down the device (10) in the transport position, wherein the leg comprises a spike protruding downwards, if necessary.
7. The device according to claim 6,
   characterized in that a leg (30) is formed in a box-shaped manner and includes a box-shaped cavity (37) in which a complementary container (31) can be received through a sideward opening (38).
8. The device according to claim 7,
   characterized in that the cavity (37) and/or the container (31) have locking means so that the container (31) cannot be inserted and removed, respectively, without exerting a force.
9. The device according to claim 7 or 8,
   characterized in that the cavity (37) and/or the container (31) have a barrier (39) at the bottom side extending laterally and acting against withdrawing the container (31).
10. The device according to any of claims 7 to 9,
    characterized in that the height and the depth of the container (31) in relation to the cavity (37) are dimensioned in such a manner that in the case of a simple tilting movement of the container (31) around its front edge the container (31) gets caught at an inner wall of the cavity (37) by means of its rear edge.
11. The device according to any of claims 7 to 10,
    characterized in that the container (31) has a cover (33) which is pivoted to its rear edge and is biased towards an open position by means of an elastic element (35), in particular a spring or a living hinge.
12. The device according to claim 11,
    characterized in that the cover (33) and the opening (38) in the leg (30) comprise a protrusion (34) and a complementary recess (36) which can be brought into locking engagement when the container (31) is inserted.
13. The device according to any of claims 1 to 12,
    characterized in that the receiving portion (20) comprises at least one box-shaped container (40) at the bottom side thereof which container (40) has a cavity the horizontal cross-sectional area is dimensioned for receiving golf balls and which has a hole (42) for receiving and delivering, respectively, a golf ball.
14. The device according to claim 13,
    characterized in that the hole (42) is provided in the lower part of the container (40) and provides a releasable lock preventing an unintended dropping of golf balls.
15. The device according to claim 13,
    characterized in that the container (40) comprises a hole (42) for golf balls in the upper region thereof and offset in peripheral direction a narrow slot extending downward and provided in a sidewall (43).
16. The device according to any of claims 13 to 15,
    characterized in that the height of the cavity in the container (40) is at least an integer multiple of the diameter of a golf ball.
17. The device according to any of claims 1 to 16,
    characterized in that on both ends of the support (20) box-shaped regions (30, 40) are mounted which simultaneously form the legs of the device.
18. The device according to any of claims 13 to 17,
    characterized in that the box-shaped container(s) (40) for receiving golf balls are provided symmetrically with respect to the longitudinal axis of the device at the bottom side of the support (20).
19. The device according to any of claims 1 to 18,
    characterized in that the support (20) comprises lateral projections (50) at one end by means of which golf clubs having a shaft with an offset, in particular putters, can be supported.
20. The device according to any of claims 1 to 19,
    characterized in that the device comprises a receiver at the bottom side for releasably mounting a sponge (55).
21. The device according to any of claims 1 to 20,
    characterized in that a sideward chamber (54), if necessary with a cover, is mounted to the support (20), in which chamber (54) small parts, in particular writing devices and/or score cards are receivable.
22. The device according to any of claims 1 to 21,
    characterized in that the device (10) consists of wood, synthetic resin or metal or compound materials of these elements and is essentially integrally formed.
23. The device according to any of claims 1 to 22,
    characterized in that the device (10) comprises holders at least at one side thereof for releasably mounting accessories.
