Abstract

The assembly to synchronize the movement of material (01) along a movement path (B) during a process cycle, e.g. paper through a printing press, uses a structure (03) on the material surface (02) which is scanned by an image sensor (06) in at least two discrete successive time points for an image. The image data (18) are passed to an evaluation unit (07) where the structure shift is detected through its movement, for signals (08,11) to be transmitted to synchronize the printing press clock generator (09) and the working of a line camera (12) or laser perforator.
