Abstract

Facility for storing objects in the revolving multiple-level circular rings consists of bearing structure and circular, horizontally-rotary revolving, multiple-level circular rings with storage space and the service opening in which there is a vertically moving jacking equipment. On the bearing structure are placed pairs of rails (18) for each rotatory circular ring (2, 3, 4), where the inner rail is in the place of the self-service openings (8, 9, 10) disconnected and its part (18) is fastened on the framing of the equipment for vertical motion (5, 6, 7). Facilities (11, 12, 13) for a revolving motion of the particular circular rings (2, 3, 4) are separate and mutually independent in every level.

  • The invention applies to an facility for storing objects, especially automobiles and containers, in the storage horizontal circular rings arranged vertically above one another, with a service opening, and it solves a problem with a built-up area Document US-A-340 5816 shows the features of the preamble of claim 1.
  • Actual technical state
  • There are many solutions for car parking in multiple-level parkings where the car'transfer is done by spiral arranged ramps or paternoster elevator that requires on every storey a special manipulating technique and storage systems, which are demanding for the built-up area.
  • On the principle of the paternoster elevator, another mechanism is designed using revolving palettes, which after rotation are moved sideways to the place of parking, and storage in the parking positions in every level is done by horizontal motion of the palettes in the form of a chessboard. Even with this type of facility, there are great requirements for the built-up area and much time needed for the handling operation.
  • Also the equipment for storing with revolving circular rings with the service opening is available. However it is realized so that the circular ring rotates in all levels above with one drive, which demands much power, and so long time intervals for starting and stopping.
  • For the whole construction, one means is used for vertical motion, and for storage into a different circular ring an additional piece of equipment is used for moving the object horizontally in between the circular rings.
  • Subject matter of the invention
  • The above-mentioned disadvantages can be eliminated by using storage equipment for storing objects, as defined by claim 1.
  • Furthermore the subject matter is that facilities for the revolving motion of particular circular rings are cogged-belt drives, and facilities for the uplifting vertical motion are cable lifts.
  • The advantage of the mentioned equipment according to the invention is especially small build-up area requirements which are eliminated to the minimum. By using adequate equipment for eduction of the vertical and horizontal motions, the servicing time is shortened and so power demand of the equipment is reduced.
  • The new design entirely eliminates the subjective influence of the human operator so that complete system is fully automatic with maximum customer protection. Through this sectional construction, the consequences of the possible breakdown of some of its parts are also eliminated.

  • Examples of accomplishment of the invention
  • The main body for storing objects in the revolving multiple-level circular rings is the bearing structure 1 where in six levels are placed three circular horizontally-rotary revolving circular rings 2 3, 4 with the storage space and the service openings 8, 9, 10 in which the lifts move vertically 5, 6 7. Each lift consists of a self-supporting frame 16 that is led by guiding elements 17 attached to the steel structure 1 so they could absorb the load reactions of the lifts 5, 6, 7 and transfer them into the steel structure 1.For each revolving circular ring 2, 3, 4 there are on the bearing structure 1 placed pairs of rails 18. The inner rail is in the place of the self- service openings 8, 9, 10 disconnected and its part 18a is fastened on the framing 16 of the lifts 5, 6, 7.
    Equipment 11, 12, 13 for the revolving motion of the particular circular rings 2, 3, 4, that are cogged-belt drives, are in all storeys separate and mutually independent
    Equipment 11, 12, 13 for the revolving motion are software-locked with the equipment for the uplifting vertical motion 5, 6, 7 so that it is possible to move only one of these facilities and the other one stands in the exactly defined position which makes the motion possible. On the particular circular rings 2, 3, 4. there are objects stored on the pallets or automobiles stored on the bearing pallets 14.
  • Each circular ring 2, 3, 4, has its own independent drive of the horizontal rotation so that it is possible to rotate with each one without higher power demands.
    The equipment 11, 12, 13 for the revolving motion are with bigger diameters of the circular rings installed so that they can be unified for the whole building. This is reached by use of smaller motors that are always coupled or triplicated so that it could be reached the needled effect for the rotation with the circular ring in the actual level. Each circular ring 2, 3, 4, has on its own periphery always one place where it is possible to go through with a pallet 14 with the load to another storey. Lifting and down-movement of the loads is also separate and independent for each circular ring.
    The equipment for the vertical lifting motion is either a cable or hydraulic lift 5, 6, 7.
    At the process of storing in or dispatch there are always revolving circular rings 2, 3, 4, in primary position i.e. turned with the services openings 8, 9, 10 one above another so that it is possible to go through with the lifts 5, 6, 7, up to the top level.
    The lift for lifting up objects is not always in the primary position in the 1. load level but in the optimal position so that it eliminates the servicing time for the eventual next customer. The whole building consists of the technological levels 2-7, 1. terminal storey and 8. servicing level. The 1. terminal level consists of two parts, where in one half there is a car drive-in and drive-way to servicing openings of each circular rings (parking places for the circular ring 1-3) with a prepared pallet 14. In the other half there is a room for elevonics, an electro-centre room and a room for service with the access to the stairway 15 which allows the costumer access to whichever level and to the roof 19. In the 1. terminal level there is also possibility of parking larger automobiles. The whole building is provided with the outer surface 20 according to the customer's demand - with the holorib, glass or in any other way to prevent trespassers and protect against rain.
  • The working cycle (picture no. 4) is done while the customer goes through the drive - in or when paying for the service is in progress. The whole cycle is fully automatic and no operating personnel are needed. After passing under the mechanical barrier, the customer is allowed into the area, where the crew of the automobile gets out, except the driver. After the lifting up of the roller grates he (she) drives into the parking area where he (she) stops by means of the display on the pallet 14 in the exactly defined position. Then he (she) leaves the automobile, and when leaving the parking area, he (she) pushes a button to activate the storing process.
  • The description of the working cycle is as follows.
    The lift 5 (picture no. 4a) goes up to the level which is one level down then the required free space is with the free pallet 14. After reaching this position the circular ring 2 swivels to the required position (picture no 4b), and by the following repeated motion of the lift 5 upward one more level up the free pallet lifts up and technique swivels to the primary position (picture no. 4c and 4d). Overpassing by one level up is necessary, to make it possible to underpass other already-stored automobiles in the current level and the current circular ring 2. The revolving motion is realized on both sides in order to eliminate the servicing time. The lift (on the picture no. 4e) with the free pallet goes down to the place where it is possible to run on the pallet with the automobile. After the automobile has run on the pallet and the driver has got out, the lift goes up (picture no 4f) and again one more level up (picture no. 4g). Here the circular ring swivels to the place where the pallet was taken from before and the lift by the down movement places the pallet with the automobile to the free space in the circular ring (picture no. 4h). After going to the lower level the circular ring again swivels to the primary position (picture no. 4i). Then the lift goes to its appropriate height, where it waits for the next signals (picture no. 4j).
    The principle of dispatch is the same but it is done in the reverse order.

Claims (3)

  1. Facility for storing objects in revolving multiple-level concentric circular rings, that consists of a bearing structure and horizontally-rotary revolving, multiple-level concentric circular rings with storage space and service openings in which there is vertically moving jacking equipment caracterised in that , on the bearing structure pairs of rails (18) for each rotatory concentric circular ring (2, 3, 4) are placed, where the part of the inner rail which is in the place of the self-service openings (8, 9, 10) is disconnected and the disconnected part (16a) is fastened on the vertically moving framing of the jacking equipment (5, 6, 7) and facilities (11, 12, 13) for said facility for storing objects for a revolving motion of the particular circular concentric rings (2, 3, 4) are separate and mutually independent in every level, where as either the motion of the facility (11, 12, 13) for revolving motion of particular concentric circular rings (2, 3, 4) or facility (5, 6, 7) of the jacking equipement for uplifting vertical motion is programme-controlled.
  2. Facility for storing objects according to Claim 1 caracterised in that the facilities (11, 12, 13) for the revolving motion of particular circular concentric rings (2, 3, 4] are cogged-belt drives.
  3. Facility for storing objects according to Claim 1 caracterised in that the facilities (5, 6, 7) for the uplifting vertical motion are cable lifts.
