Description

The invention relates to a drive for weaving shafts of a weaving machine with drive elements that transform rotational movements into linear movements and which are arranged in a housing which receives a lever system that transmits the linear movements as up and down movements on the heddle shafts. Such a drive is from EP 0 742 298 A1 (1996-11-13 ) known.

A drive of the type mentioned is exposed to non-uniform loads, since he has to raise and lower the healds during a weaving cycle. This leads to a considerable load of the drive motor, in particular when the drive motor is independent of the main drive motor of the loom. The invention has the object of providing a drive of the type mentioned in such a way that the drive motor is not overloaded.

This object is achieved in that the drive one or more cooling channels are provided, which are connected to a region of the housing, which serves to receive an oil bath.

The oil of the oil bath, which serves as a lubricant for the arranged in the housing of the drive drive elements, is used advantageously for cooling. In addition, the risk is avoided that the housing and thus the drive elements are heated unevenly, so that thermal deformations are avoided, which could otherwise lead to alignment problems, especially with respect to drive rods or bearings.

In an embodiment of the invention it is provided that on the housing is a drive motor which is surrounded by a cooling channel.

To ensure that a sufficient supply of oil for cooling the housing and in particular of the drive motor is obtained, it is provided in a further embodiment of the invention that an oil supply line leading to the drive motor is connected to an oil pump. In this case, advantageously, an oil pump can be provided, which supplies the bearings or joints of the arranged in the housing drive element with oil, in particular by spraying oil.

In a further embodiment of the invention it is provided that the housing extends from one side of the weaving machine to the opposite side, that the drive motor is mounted in the region of one end of the housing, and that an oil return line in the region of the other end opens into the housing. This ensures that the most uniform possible heating of the housing and the drive elements housed therein is obtained by means of the heat emitted by the drive motor.

In order to dissipate the heat, it is provided in one embodiment of the invention that the housing is preferably provided in the vicinity of its bottom with cooling fins or cooling elements. In another embodiment it is provided that in the oil supply or in the oil return line, an oil cooler is arranged. The oil cooler preferably cools with a liquid coolant, in particular cooling water.

In a further embodiment of the invention it is provided that the housing is optionally formed with the drive motor, with the oil pump, with the oil supply and with the oil return line as an attachable to a loom assembly. This unit is prefabricated, for example, at a manufacturer and then attached as a unit to a loom. When mounting using damping elements, it is ensured that no vibrations or oscillations are transmitted back and forth between the shaft drive and the weaving machine.

The shaft drive shown in Fig. 1 and 2 has an elongated housing 10. The housing 10 extends with a substantially rectangular section having part between the side parts 11, 12 of a loom. In a region located outside of a side part, for example of the left side part 11, the housing 10 has an enlarged area 13. In this area 13 a drive shaft 14 is accommodated, which is connected via a lever system 15 to transmission elements 16 which are in the area between the side parts 11, 12 protrude upward from the housing 10 and are connected to Webschäften 17, which are driven to up and down movements.

The drive shaft 14 is driven by means of a drive motor 18 independent of a main drive motor of a weaving machine, which is flanged to a transmission housing 19, which in turn is flanged to the housing 10 in the enlarged area outside of the side part 11. The transmission housing 19 includes a gear stage which connects the drive motor 18 to the drive shaft 14. The transmission housing 19 may also be integral with the housing 10.

The housing 10 is sealed altogether and receives an oil bath 20. In the area of the transmission elements 16 there are sealing elements 21 which ensure that, on the one hand, no dust penetrates into the housing 10 and, on the other hand, no oil gets into the region of the resulting tissue.

Since the drive motor 18 is exposed to high loads and in particular high thermal loads, an oil cooling is provided for him, which uses the oil of the oil bath 20. To the oil bath 20 an oil pump 22 is connected, which is connected via an oil feed 23 with one or more the drive motor mantle-like surrounding cooling channels. To these cooling channels of the drive motor 18 includes an oil return line 24, through which the oil is returned after leaving the drive motor 18 to the housing 10 and into the oil bath 20. This oil return line 24 opens in the region of the end of the housing 10 opposite the enlarged region 13. In the exemplary embodiment, an oil cooler 25 is provided inside the oil return line, which cools the oil flowing back from the drive motor 18.

The oil pump 22 is expediently also exploited to the fact that the oil is supplied as a lubricant to the individual bearing elements of the lever system 15 of the shaft drive, as indicated by the line 26 in Fig. 1. As indicated in dashed line in Fig. 1, the oil return line 24 may be connected to this line, so that the bearings of the drive means are lubricated with heated oil.

In a preferred embodiment, the entire shaft drive is formed as a prefabricated unit, which can be attached as such to a loom. For this purpose, mounting flanges 27, 28 are provided on the housing 10, with which the assembly can be attached to the side parts 11, 12 of the loom. In this embodiment, in particular, the oil pump 22 is disposed within the housing 10. Conveniently, it is connected by means of a gear stage with the drive shaft 14, so that the drive motor 18 also drives the oil pump.

The shaft drive of Fig. 1 is shown only as an example. In a modified embodiment, the drive shaft 14 is driven directly by the drive motor 18. The drive motor 18 can also be on the front side or the top or the opposite Side of the enlarged portion 13 of the housing 10 are attached. Optionally, a deflection gear stage is provided by means of bevel gears.

With the invention is to be avoided in particular that the housing 10, which is located below the warp threads, acts as a kind of radiator. Due to the effect as a radiator otherwise the warp threads above the housing could be dried, which could have a detrimental effect on the weaving and the fabric obtained. In order to avoid the effect as a radiator, as little oil as possible should be present in the housing 10, i. only enough oil to achieve the lubricating effect. Preferably, moreover, this oil, which lubricates the bearing elements of the lever system, should be cooled.

In the embodiment according to FIGS. 3 and 4, it is therefore provided that an oil bath 20 'is restricted to the region 13 of the housing 10 which is located outside the side parts 11, 12 of the weaving machine. In this area 13, the housing 10 has a lower floor than in the area between the side parts 11, 12. In this area, as shown in Fig. 4, in the bottom of the housing 10, only a groove 31 is provided which as Return to the oil bath 20 'is used. In the area 13 of the housing 10, an oil cooler 25 is arranged, which supplies 32 spray nozzles 33 with cooled oil, the bearing points of the lever system 15 are assigned via supply lines 32 shown in phantom. The sprayed, cooled oil flows back via the channel 31 to the oil bath of the area 13 of the housing 10. As can be seen from Fig. 4, the groove 31 is a downwardly projecting from the bottom of the housing 10 rib. Due to this shape, the gutter acts as a cooling rib at the same time.

The housing 10 is fastened in the embodiment according to FIGS. 3 and 4 by means of damping elements 34, 35 to the side parts 11, 12 of the loom, which thus also thermally separate the housing 10 from the side parts 11, 12.

In principle, any type of shaft drives are suitable for the invention, i. a dobby, a cam drive, an eccentric drive or a crank drive.

In modified embodiments, a plurality of independent drive motors are provided for the drive, which are each assigned to a number of heddles or each a single weaving shank. At least one of the plurality of these drive motors and preferably all of these drive motors are cooled in the manner explained above.

In Fig. 5 and 6, an embodiment similar to Fig. 3 is shown, in which in the region of the bottom of the housing 10, a cooling channel 40 is provided which surrounds the grooves 31 in this embodiment. In this cooling channel 40, a flow of coolant is generated. This can be cooled air. The air is preferably blown through the cooling passage 40 by means of a blower. However, it is also possible to generate a convection flow. In another embodiment, a liquid coolant is passed through the cooling channel 40. This liquid coolant, in particular cooling water, can be supplied by means of a pump. Conveniently, in this embodiment, a plurality of grooves 31 are provided in the bottom of the housing 10, preferably in the form of profiles, which protrude into the cooling channel 40. This makes it possible to increase the cooling area. The cooling channel 40 is formed by the bottom of the housing 10 and a profile 41 attached thereto. The cooling fluid - air or cooling water - flows in the cooling channel from a side part 12 to the side part 11. The cooling fluid is removed in the region of the side part 11, through a cooler 42 therethrough guided and fed back in the area of the other side part 12. Optionally, the cooling device 42 may also include a refrigeration unit.
