Description

The invention relates to a device for continuously drying a fibrous web, in particular tissue web with a drying drum and an air circuit, wherein the drying drum has a cylinder jacket, which is formed as a honeycomb-shaped body. Such a device is from the document EP-A-0 315 961 known.

In conventional tissue systems, the drying process begins at an entry dry content of the tissue web of about 40% to 45%. In order to achieve a higher volume of the paper is dispensed with the mechanical pre-dewatering and the initial dry content of such devices is today at about 20% to 25%. These systems work with throughflow drying. During the heating process, one or more flow through drums connected in series, which have room temperature, are abruptly exposed to the supply air temperature of approx. 300 ° C. Drying drums currently in use consist of thin-walled shell constructions, for example as perforated metal sheets or as honeycomb-shaped bodies, which are connected to thick-walled end flanges. Due to the large differences in mass between the drum shell and the end flange, excessive stresses occur at their point of transition which lead to deformation and even destruction. The same damage occurs when the drums are abruptly cooled to room temperature from operating temperature, by spraying with cold water in the event of an emergency stop, to protect the drums wrapping plastic screens from destruction.

Die Erfindung will nun diesen Nachteil beseitigen. The invention now wants to eliminate this disadvantage. It is inventively characterized in that the honeycomb-shaped cylinder jacket of the drying drum is provided at its edges with an annular flexible transition profile. As a result, occurring diameter changes and subsequently unacceptable thermal stresses can be reduced.

An advantageous development of the invention is characterized in that the transition profile designed as a U-profile and preferably butt welded to the honeycomb cylinder jacket. By this type of training of the transition piece, a continuous heat transfer is ensured both during heating, as well as when cooling the machine. The special type of connection causes the stresses in the welds to be reduced so much that no deformation or even mechanical damage occurs at the welds.

A favorable embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the cross section of the transition profile, preferably U-profile, decreases towards its center. As a result, the heat flow can be influenced particularly well. It is produced with this design, a flexible connection, which also ensures the same centering of the cylinder jacket and thus an exact roundness.

It is advantageous if the honeycomb-shaped cylinder jacket is wider than the paper web to be dried, which allows a defined variation of the paper web width.

Dieser verhindert so ein Eindringen von Staub oder Fasern in den Hohlraum des U- ProfilesA favorable development of the invention is characterized in that at the edges in each case an endless ring is shrunk, which extends beyond the transition profile in the honeycomb-shaped cylinder jacket. This prevents penetration of dust or fibers into the cavity of the U-profile

Conveniently, it has been found that the cylinder jacket consists of longitudinal ribs which are connected to vertical, folded profiles. As a result, a high stability of the cylinder jacket can be achieved.

A favorable embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the longitudinal ribs of the honeycomb-shaped cylinder jacket are arranged at a distance of between 20 and 80 mm, preferably between 30 and 40 mm. By a small distance results in a lower specific load and thus a reduction in the risk of marks on the paper web.

An advantageous embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the honeycomb-shaped, folded connecting profiles protrude in the radial direction over the longitudinal ribs and carry the paper web and the transport screen. This results in a large contact surface and a further reduction in the risk of markings of the paper web.

It is particularly favorable if the honeycomb-shaped cylinder jacket has an open area of at least 85%. This allows the Durchströmtrocknungsprozess perform particularly well.

A particularly favorable development of the invention is characterized in that covers are provided for stabilizing the cylinder jacket on the end faces, which are screwed to the cylinder jacket, in particular to the transition pieces. This design ensures improved stability of the drum shell, in particular, a sliding between the lid and drum shell is prevented in a radial expansion due to the temperature.

An advantageous embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the drying drum has an exclusively welded drum body. This design virtually eliminates the areas where cracks could occur.

Die Erfindung wird nun anhand der Zeichnungen beispielhaft beschrieben, wobei Fig. 1 eine Variante einer Anordnung einer Durchströmtrocknung, Fig. 2 einen Schnitt durch Fig. 1 entlang Linie II-II, Fig. 3 eine Trockentrommel gemäß der Erfindung, Fig. 4 Detail IV in Fig. 3, Fig. 5 Detail V in Fig. 3 und Fig. 6 einen Schnitt gemäß Linie VI - VI in Fig. 3 darstellt. The invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the drawings, wherein Fig. 1 shows a variant of an arrangement of throughflow drying, Fig. 2 is a section through Fig. 1 along line II-II, Fig. 3 is a drying drum according to the invention, Fig. 4 detail IV FIG. 3, FIG. 5 shows detail V in FIG. 3 and FIG. 6 shows a section according to line VI-VI in FIG.

In Fig. 1, a possible arrangement of a through-flow drying is shown. It can be seen here the drum 1 with their bearings 2 and 3, and the drive 4. Under the drum is a two-piece Hood 5 and 6 (see Fig. 2), from which the hot supply air through the paper web 7, a transport screen 8, then flows through the drying drum 1 into the interior of the drum, and is withdrawn via an annular channel 10 from the drum to the drive side. The approximately 300 ° C hot air is cooled by the drying process to about 120 ° C. This so cooled exhaust air is brought back to the entry state in a treatment system. At the end, the paper web 7 is guided with the transport screen 8 via a deflection roller 11. Clearly here the covering device 12 can be seen, which covers the area of the drum 1 from the inside in the area which is not touched by the tissue web 7 and which is not wrapped by the hood 5 and 6. Thus it is prevented that here sucked false air into the drying drum and thereby the suction effect is greatly reduced by the paper web. In principle, the air can also be guided from the interior of the drying drum 1 through the cylinder jacket 9 to the outside.

Fig. 3 shows a section through a drying drum 1, consisting of a honeycomb-shaped cylinder jacket 9 with leader and drive side each with a butt welded, flexible, rolled to a horizontal U-shaped ring 13. By this U-shaped transition profile 13 between the cylinder jacket. 9 and flange, the maximum stresses of the joint weld are reduced to about 1/3 that of conventional designs, which guarantees non-destructive operation of the dryer drum over its entire life.

The outer flanges of these flexible rings 13 are screwed to the drum lids 14 and 15, the pins for receiving the two bearings 2 and 3, which bear in their execution of the change in length of the drying drum 1 by the temperature differences during heating and cooling in the cross machine direction. The temperature of the exhaust air is usually about 120 ° C while the supply air into the drying drum has about 300 ° C. The two drum edges are from the outside to the edges of the paper web with a covered endless ring 16, and it is so prevents penetration of dust or fibers into the cavity of the U-profile. This endless ring 16 is shrunk in such a way that it can not detach itself from the drum surface during heating, cooling or operation.

Fig. 4 zeigt einen Schnitt durch die Verbindungen Mantel - flexibler Ring 13 sowie die Schweißverbindung derselben und die Flanschverschraubung 17 mit dem Trommeldeckel 4.4 shows a section through the connections jacket-flexible ring 13 and the welded connection thereof and the Flanschverschraubung 17 with the drum cover 4th

In Fig. 5 is a view of the edge region of the drum 1 is shown. Here you can see the cover 16, which extends beyond the edges of the honeycomb cylinder jacket 9 and marks the edges of the paper.

Fig. 6 shows the support structure of the cylinder jacket 9 with longitudinal ribs 18 advantageously at a distance a of about 30 to 40 mm and the radially projecting above connecting profiles 19 which form the honeycomb shape and the paper web 7 and the support wire 8 carry.
