Abstract
Die Erfindung betrifft eine Kontroll- und Überwachungseinrichtung zur Vermeidung von Schäden durch Überhitzungen bei flexiblen, textilen Flächenheizelementen, die aus mindestens zwei sich gegenüberliegenden Kontaktleitern (3.1, 3.2) aus elektrisch leitfähigen, unisolierten Fasern oder Drähten, zwischen denen mehrere Heizleiter (8) verlaufen, welche mit den Kontaktleitern (3.1, 3.2) und einer Strom-Spannungsquelle elektrisch leitend verbunden sind, und aus einem Grundmaterial bestehen. Dabei ist mindestens ein elektrischer Zusatzleiter (1) entlang mindestens einem Kontaktleiter über die Heizleiter (8) geführt, wobei der Zusatzleiter (1) mit einem Überzugsmaterial elektrisch isoliert und mit einer elektrischen oder elektronischen Auswerteschaltung (11) verbunden ist, dass das Überzugsmaterial einen Schmelzpunkt oder Erweichungsintervall aufweist, das oberhalb der üblichen Heiztemperatur des Flächenheizelementes aber unterhalb einer zulässigen thermischen Grenztemperatur der umliegenden Materialien und des Grundmaterials (12) liegt, wobei im Falle einer Überhitzung das Überzugsmaterial schmilzt und die Heizleiter (8.1, 8.2) mit dem Zusatzleiter einen elektrischen Kontakt bilden, über den für die Kontrolle der Überhitzung ein Strom zur elektrischen oder elektronischen Auswerteeinheit fließt, die mit der Strom-Spannungsquelle verbunden ist.
