Abstract

The window has handles (1) that are interconnected by a connection unit (2) for activating the handles simultaneously by activating any one of the handles so as to facilitate the access of a window locking or unlocking function to occupants of a recreation vehicle. The handles are arranged uniquely in lower corner of a casement, and the connection unit is integrated in the contour of the casement. Description

Object of the invention

The present invention relates to a window of a recreational vehicle, such as a camper or a caravan, having a closing device particular making the function of locking and unlocking more accessible to the occupants of these same vehicles.

Technological background

So far, recreational vehicles do not enjoyed only a system of closing windows relatively rudimentary. This is usually a single handle or sometimes multiple handles independent devices to wedge the longitudinal edge bottom of the opening against or in the profile forming the sleeping.

In the rest of the presentation, we will hear by recreational vehicles all mobile homes at wide meaning including caravans, motorhomes, mobile home, vans or buses transformed into mobil home etc.

German Patent DE 19725677-C2 discloses a closing system of a window of a recreational vehicle with central locking which has a rod allowing to operate all the closing points lying on the lower longitudinal edge of window at the same time. This does not solve the problem. problem of accessibility of the single handle, which is only to be handled by the occupant immediate proximity.

International application WO 01 / 71134A1 has a mechanism for closing a window of recreational vehicle with a central handle integrated closure device in the lower edge of the window and operated by a worm. This system has also the advantage of operating several points of closing the window at the same time via with one handle in central position. This lock centralized again raises the problem of accessibility mentioned above.

Moreover, the cost factor of a closing device of a window of a vehicle of leisure is essential for its commercial success. The sophisticated central locking mechanisms are so disadvantaged from this point of view.

The latest technical developments in the recreational vehicles require manufacturers to integrate a global reflection concerning occupant safety of these vehicles. In case of fire, the window must can be considered, just like the doors as an emergency exit and must be able to open in one single maneuver; this is already the case for both prior art documents cited above. On the other hand, in a confined space, the central closure does not solve the problem of accessibility of the opening handle.

The present invention proposes to offer a solution to this accessibility problem.

Goals of the invention

The present invention aims to provide a window for a recreational vehicle equipped with a closure combining both the benefits of a closure centralized to operate the various points of closure and locking handle systems multiples that previously had the disadvantage of not to be synchronized in terms of movement.

Summary of the invention

The present invention discloses a window of a recreational vehicle, comprising a frame and an opening said opening comprising at least two handles adapted to be locked on the frame, characterized in that said handles are interconnected by at least one means of connection to make them apt to be operated simultaneously from any said handles to facilitate access of the function locking or unlocking said windows to occupants of the recreational vehicle.

Advantageously, said frame has a peripheral groove also allowing blockage said handles of the opening in a position intermediate between full opening and closing complete to ensure ventilation, such as night ventilation.

In a second preferred embodiment of the invention, in addition to said handles lying on the lower part of the opening, there is at least one side handle on the opening connected by a means of connection with said handles on the part bottom of the opening in order to provide points of additional closing acting simultaneously between them.

In a particularly advantageous way, side handles have a shape to neutralize the influence of these on the blockage of the opening in an intermediate position between full opening and complete closure by the handles on the lower part of the opening.

The invention also evokes the means of connection include rigid linkage bars, yarns and belts.

An embodiment particularly advantageous of the invention, shows that the means of connection between the lower handles is integrated into the lower edge of the opening.

Another form of execution particularly advantageous of the invention, shows that the means of connection between the side handles and the handles lower is integrated into the side edge of the opening.

According to the invention, the window further comprises an opening compass connecting the opening to said frame to maintain said opening in a position determined open.

Figure 6 shows a detail view a locking handle connected to a means of rigid connection connecting the handles. Said handle being in closed position. We see that the handle is locked behind the profile forming the peripheral groove of the sleeping.

Figure 7 shows a detail view of a locking handle on the bottom edge and the edge side of the window in partial open position (night ventilation). The bottom handle is housed in the peripheral groove of the frame while the handle side, which is connected to the lower handle by a means of rigid connection, has a perfectly neutral so as not to disturb the opening of the window in night ventilation position.

Figure 8 shows a perspective view the locking handle and its connection means (a rigid bar in this case) in the open position partial (night ventilation). The handle is housed in the peripheral groove of the frame.

FIG. 9 represents another view in perspective of two locking handles connected by a rigid connection means. Said handles are in full open position. The handles are completely out of the peripheral groove of the frame allowing a complete opening of the window.

Detailed description of the invention

The present invention presents a window a recreational vehicle equipped with a closing device that combines the advantages between a centralized closure to several points and multi-handle closures in this meaning that the different lock handles 1 are interconnected by a connection means 2 such that a linkage, belt or wire, for example. this allows a synchronized movement of the different handles 1 and thus accessibility from various places of the recreational vehicle.

Claims (11)

Window of a recreational vehicle, comprising a frame (7) and an opening (9), said opening (9) comprising at least two handles (1) able to be locked on the frame (8), characterized in that said handles (1) are interconnected by at least one connecting means (2) to make them capable of being actuated simultaneously from any of said handles (1) to facilitate access of the lock function or unlocking said windows to the occupants of the recreational vehicle. Window according to claim 1 characterized in that at least two handles (1) connected by said connection means (2) are on the lower part of the opening (9). Window according to claim 1 characterized in that said frame (7) has a peripheral groove (8) further allowing a locking of said handles (1) of the opening (9) in an intermediate position between the full opening and closing complete to provide ventilation, such as night ventilation. Window according to claim 1 characterized in that in addition to said handles (1) located on the lower part of the opening (9), there is at least one lateral handle (6) on the opening (9) connected by connecting means (2) with said handles on the lower part of the opening (9) to provide additional closing points acting simultaneously between them. Window according to claim 4 characterized in that said lateral handles (6) have a shape to neutralize the influence thereof on the locking of the opening (9) in an intermediate position between the full opening and closing complete by the handles (1) located on the lower part of the opening (9). Window according to claim 1 characterized in that said connection means (2) comprise rigid linkage bars, wires and belts. Window according to claim 1 characterized in that the connecting means (2) between the lower handles (1) is integrated in the lower edge of the opening (9).
