Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a system for storing and releasing a life raft for a ship and a vessel comprising said system.
Modern ships all have rescue systems in the form of lifeboats and inflatable rafts.
Depending on the type of vessel and the applicable regulations, the release of lifeboats or inflatable rafts will be made in freefall or via davits.
Lifeboats are relatively large boats intended for major ships such as ships, ferries ... They are generally positioned on cradles, and davits installed nearby are used to launch them.
Generally, life rafts, usually of the inflatable type, are fixed on a carling or on an inclined cradle serving as a ramp. The launching of the rafts is then done by gravity following a manual release or by a hydrostatic release.
A titre d'exemple, les réglementations prévoient qu'ils doivent fonctionner même si le navire gîte de 20°.Because of their use in case of danger, these release systems must be simple to use and extremely reliable, whatever the environment. For example, the regulations provide that they must operate even if the vessel sleeps 20 °.
To meet these constraints, different systems have been developed. Thus, US Patent 4,709,650 to Ingle describes a life raft in the form of a habitable sphere that rests on an inclined fixed cradle. The system includes initial raft restraint means and a drop ramp that pivots from a vertical storage position to an inclined position allowing the raft to be released by gravity.
Another system operating by gravity is that described in US Pat. No. 3,593,355 to R. E. Husband in which a fall ramp unfolds from a vertical position in conjunction with a rotation of a cradle containing the raft.
These systems have the disadvantage of being relatively complex mechanically and therefore of presenting a risk of malfunction and harm. integrate into the structures of the ship which causes significant loss of space and aesthetic problems depending on the types of ship.
The object of the invention is therefore to obtain a mechanically simple and reliable system integrating into the structures of the ship in an aesthetic manner.

A ship, FIG. 1, comprises in its superstructures systems for storing and releasing life rafts according to the invention.
Referring to Figure 2, the invention comprises a
The
A lateral release opening 2C of the raft is delimited by the
In this
The
The
The
This
The operation of the system according to the invention will now be described with reference to Figure 2 in which the system is in the storage position and in Figure 3 in which the system is in the release position.
When the life raft does not need to be used, the system is in the position shown in Figure 2. The
Quand le radeau doit être mis à la mer, le système de verrouillage 5 libère la paroi mobile 3.When the raft is to be put to sea, the
The tilting of the
The possible webbing that held the
The system according to the invention being mechanically very simple thus guarantees a high reliability of its operation.
According to a variant shown in Figure 4, 5 and 6, the hinge 4 and the
According to this type of embodiment, the rocking
The
Le système de vérin 9 pousse alors le berceau 6, ce qui entraîne la paroi 3, vers la position de largage, figure 6.The system then being in the position shown in FIG. 5, the
It is also possible to replace the gas accumulator with a
Alternatively, the
The bulwarks being often in the ships of the areas not or little used, the installation of systems according to the invention in the bulwarks makes it possible to optimize the use of the spaces of the ship.
