Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a fastener for fixing a dispensing member on an opening of a reservoir, and a dispenser using such a fastener.
  • the fixing member generally comprises receiving means, for example by snapping, intended to receive the dispenser member.
  • the fixing member may comprise a substantially cylindrical skirt intended to be engaged in force in the opening of the tank to make a tight sealing contact. This type of fastener is frequently used in fluid dispensers in the field of perfumery, cosmetics or pharmacy.
  • EP-0 823 288 discloses a fastener of this type.
  • the skirt of the fastener may engage inside or outside the opening formed by the reservoir.
  • the skirt In the version where the skirt is engaged in force inside the tank, it comprises a continuous cylindrical upper part and a vertically grooved cylindrical lower part. This grooved portion vertically extends to the lower end of the skirt.
  • the air present inside the tank can escape through the vertical grooves.
  • the air in the tank escapes until the continuous cylindrical upper portion comes into tight grip in the tank opening. From this moment, the inside of the tank is insulated from the outside in a sealed way.
  • a radial flange formed by the skirt abuts on the upper end of the opening of the tank.
  • a comparable venting system is described in EP-0 628 355, wherein a pump-supporting fastener comprises a skirt formed with a continuous cylindrical upper section below which are formed a series of vertical grooves to allow the venting of the reservoir before the final assembly of the fastener.
  • the fixing member of EP-0 823 288 is more particularly intended to be mounted on small capacity tanks made of glass. In general, these are sample dispensers.
  • the problem with this type of glass vials is that the tolerance on the inner diameter of the vial is relatively large. Therefore, it may happen that the vertical grooves formed on the lower part of the skirt are completely crushed when the internal diameter of the opening of the bottle is reduced.
  • the present invention aims to overcome this disadvantage of the prior art by defining a fastener implementing another type of venting.
  • the present invention proposes that the skirt be formed with at least one vent hole passing through the thickness of the skirt.
  • the interior of the skirt inside the tank can communicate with the outside as long as a seal is not formed above the vent hole.
  • WO 00/63094 discloses, in Figure 4, an embodiment of a portion of a dispensing member comprising a fastener and a skirt engaged in the opening of a reservoir. This skirt is well provided with a through hole, however the latter is positioned at the upper end of a vertical groove and therefore does not serve to fan the tank during the depression of the skirt.
  • the air flow of the tank according to the invention no longer takes place along the outer wall of the skirt, but through the inside of the skirt through the hole of the skirt. through vent.
  • the hole is formed below an upper section of increased diameter intended to come into tight sealing contact in the opening. It is precisely this upper section of increased diameter that will cut the communication between the vent hole and the outside at the end of assembly of the fastener in the opening of the tank. Indeed, it does not matter that a seal is already made below the vent hole, since it does not prevent the air outlet of the tank through the vent hole.
  • the hole is formed at a median section of increased diameter intended to come into tight sealing contact in the opening.
  • a seal may be directly formed around the vent hole where it opens on the outer wall of the skirt.
  • the diameter of the median section may be identical to that of the upper section, but it may also provide a median section having a diameter which is smaller than that of the upper section, or at least less than a portion of the upper section.
  • the hole is formed above a lower section comprising a portion of increased diameter intended to come into tight sealing contact in the opening.
  • a seal can be made by tight contact below the section where the vent hole is formed.
  • the lower section may have a constant diameter so as to form a cylinder, but it may also have a variable diameter of which at least a portion can come into tight contact in the opening.
  • the sealed contact at the bottom section does not cut the communication between the tank and the outside through the vent hole.
  • the upper section and / or the lower section form (s) an outward projecting ring intended to crash into the opening of the reservoir.
  • the skirt forms a stop flange intended to come into abutting contact with the opening.
  • the abutment of the flange on the upper end of the opening marks the final mounting position of the fastener, wherein the vent hole is advantageously insulated from the outside by the upper section of increased diameter.
  • the upper section is formed with at least one vertical groove, one end of which is intended to communicate with the vent hole when the upper section is in tight contact in the opening of the tank.
  • the vent hole can still continue to perform its venting function until the upper end of the groove is closed.
  • the upper end of the groove extends to the top of the upper section of increased diameter, that is to say just below the stop flange. In this case, the seal can be made against the stop flange.
  • the hole is formed at a narrowed diameter median section intended to remain out of contact with the opening of the reservoir.
  • the median section once engaged inside the reservoir opening, forms an annular which can communicate with the groove advantageously formed at the level of the upper section. This makes it possible to make the vent hole without the need for orientation, since it is the annular which makes the communication between the vent hole and the vertical groove (s).
  • the fastener forms an inner shell, against which at least one component of the dispensing member is biased resiliently in the rest position.
  • the present invention also relates to a fluid or powder fluid dispenser comprising a reservoir, a dispensing member and a fastener of the invention.
  • the fastener 100 may be made of molded plastic. It generally has a symmetry of revolution about the axis A-A of Figure 2.
  • the fastener 100 comprises a skirt 110 which is generally cylindrical.
  • the skirt 110 is extended upwards by a sleeve 130 which extends substantially in the extension of the skirt 110.
  • the fastener comprises a radial flange 120 which extends inward. On its inner periphery, the radial flange 120 extends downwardly forming a substantially cylindrical ring 140.
  • the ring 140 extends itself downwards to form first an inward shoulder 150 and then a ring substantially cylindrical 160 which terminates in a lower abutment end 170.
  • the skirt 110, the flange 120 and the crown 140 define an inner housing 132 whose function will be given below.
  • the sleeve 130, the flange 120, the crown 140, the shoulder 150 and the ferrule 160 and the upper part of the skirt I10 may be common to all the embodiments of FIGS. 5 to 8.
  • the present invention is rather located at the level of the skirt 110, and more particularly at its lower part.
  • the skirt 110 Starting from the bottom of the skirt 110, it first forms a lower end section 111 whose outer diameter is advantageously less than the internal diameter of the container opening in which the fastener 100 is intended to be mounted. Above this lower end 111, the skirt forms a transition section 112 which here has a substantially frustoconical outer wall. Above this transition section 112, the skirt forms a lower section 113 which is here substantially or perfectly cylindrical. Beyond this section 113, the skirt forms an intermediate section 114 at which a vent hole 115 is formed through the thickness of the skirt, as can be seen in Figure 2. The intermediate section 114 here is substantially or perfectly cylindrical and connects to the lower section 113 continuously. It can even be provided that the outer diameters of sections 113 and 114 are identical.
  • the skirt forms an upper section 116 which here formed with a ring 1161 which projects radially outwards.
  • the ring 1161 forms part of the outer wall of the upper section 116, but the remainder of the outer wall of the upper section 116 may be substantially or perfectly cylindrical and has an outer diameter advantageously identical to that of the intermediate section 114 of the lower section 113. This is clearly visible in FIG. 1. It can thus be said that the skirt forms beyond the frustoconical section 112 a cylindrical section provided near its upper end with a projecting rod 1161.
  • the skirt forms a stop flange 117 which also protrudes radially outwards. Beyond this flange 117, the skirt forms a housing section 118 which partially forms the housing 132 with the connecting flange 120 and the crown 140.
  • the inner wall of the skirt 110 may be substantially or perfectly cylindrical.
  • the container or reservoir 2 defines an opening 20 delimited by an inner wall 21 which is for example substantially or perfectly cylindrical.
  • the opening 20 is delimited by an upper edge 22.
  • the reservoir may be a bottle including a cylindrical barrel closed by a bottom.
  • the dispensing member 3 may be a valve or a pump, as is the case in the example used to illustrate the invention.
  • the pump 3 may for example comprise a pump body 30 internally defining a pump chamber provided with an inlet 31.
  • a piston 33 mounted on an actuating rod 35 capped with a pusher 36 equipped with a nozzle 37 can slide in the pump body 30 to change the volume of the pump chamber and thus put the fluid stored in the pressure chamber prior to its delivery through the actuating rod 35 to be distributed at the nozzle 37.
  • the body of For example, pump 30 may comprise a snap reinforcement 34 located at its upper end.
  • This snap-fit reinforcement 34 is intended to engage snapped into the housing 132 formed by the fixing member 100.
  • the fixing member 100 is shown partially engaged inside the opening 20 of the reservoir 2. More precisely, the skirt 110 of the fastener is already engaged partially inside the housing. opening 20, and already makes tight sealing contact with the inner wall 21 at its lower section 113. To do this, the outer diameter of the lower section 113 must be chosen to be equal to or slightly greater than the internal diameter of the internal wall 21. Of course, the lower end section 111 and the transition section 112 both have diameters much smaller than the diameter of the wall 21, hence the existence of a spacer space as can be seen in FIG. see Figure 3. Thus, because of the lower section 113, a sealed annular contact is already made between the fastener and the reservoir.
  • the inside of the tank can still communicate with the outside through the vent hole 115 which is located above the lower section 113.
  • the body 30 of the pump 3 is in contact with the vent hole 115 of in order to seal it permanently and hermetically. It can thus be seen in FIG. 3 that there is a free annular space between the body 30 of the pump and the skirt 110.
  • the vent hole 115 will be sealed as soon as the intermediate section 114 becomes penetrate inside the opening 20.
  • the sealing performed extends over a cylindrical section covering the lower section 113 and the intermediate section 114.
  • the upper section 116 will also penetrate inside the chamber. opening of the tank. As a result, the protruding rod 1161 will be constrained inside the reservoir by making a very strong contact.
  • the fixing member 100 is made of a plastic material substantially deformable so that the ring 161 will be partially or completely crushed against the inner wall 21 of the opening 20.
  • the skirt 110 will undergo a deformation at its inner wall in the form of an annular boss 1163, as shown in Figure 4.
  • the upper section 116 is then substantially or perfectly cylindrical inside the tank.
  • the final mounting position is reached when the stop flange 117 comes into abutting contact with the upper edge 22 of the reservoir. This is shown in FIG. 4.
  • the skirt 110 is perfectly cylindrical externally at the level corresponding to the sections 113, 114 and 116. The sealing is carried out over the entire height of these sections with a greater interference level of the crushed ring 1161.
  • vent hole 115 Since the vent hole 115 is located near the stop flange 117, the stroke of the skirt 110 within the opening with the vent hole closed is not important. As a result, the overpressure generated inside the tank is very limited.
