Description

The present invention relates to a ski, in particular a carving ski, and a method for producing the ski.

Usually additional elements such as ski bindings and ski brakes, either directly or by means of a binding plate attached to the ski by screwing. The binding is either bolted directly to the ski or bolted the binding plate to the ski and the binding mounted on the binding plate.

Recently, along with the spread of carving skis, the use of a binding plate for mounting the ski binding has been widely used. It has been shown that it can be advantageous if at least one binding element is movably mounted with respect to the ski body in order, for example, to disturb as little as possible the bending line of the ski through the binding plate and the binding structure.

EP-A-1 329 243 discloses a ski with a ski body, with a provided on top of the ski body cover layer, attached to the ski body first and second mounting means, the cover layer is partially recessed.

A known binding mounting device is for example in DE-U-200 12 437 described. The apparatus comprises a front base plate having a mounting zone provided for a front retaining member and a rear base plate having a mounting zone provided for a rear retaining member. The rear base plate has in its lower part a transverse pivot for connection to the ski about which the base plate can swing freely relative to the ski when installed on the ski. The other baseplate has a circuit board having the mounting zone and means for mounting on the ski intended to firmly connect the circuit board to the ski or to slide in a guide along the longitudinal direction of the ski over a limited amplitude can. The base plates are interconnected by a non-extensible connection which defies their relative distance from one another and which is neutral in the case of relative approximation.

The DE-U-200 12 438 describes a similar device, wherein there the front base plate has in its lower part a transverse pivot for connection to the ski, around which the base plate can swing freely relative to the ski when installed on the ski. The rear base plate has means provided for mounting the base plate firmly on the ski. The base plates are also connected to each other here by a non-expandable connection.

Der Abstand zwischen den beiden Drehzapfen liegt im Bereich von 156 bis 376 mm.The in the DE-U-200 13 978 described device has two transverse pivot, each associated with one of the front binding element and the rear binding element. The distance between the two pivot pins is in the range of 156 to 376 mm.

The EP-A-1 175 925 describes an alpine ski with an elongated ski body having a front end, a rear end, and a central region. The ski body consists of a main core covering a tread of the ski, a stack of slip and reinforcement layers with two lateral ski edges, the core itself being covered by a stack of reinforcement and possibly cover layers. In the middle region of the ski, an auxiliary core is superimposed on the main core, which forms a rib of reduced width protruding from the surface of the ski in this central region. On this projecting rib, a binding plate is fastened by means of two transverse pins which extend through the rib and the binding plate.

Furthermore, the describes EP-A-1 161 972 a ski with a profile rail system, which is provided at least in the binding area on the ski upper side. The profiled rail system consists of at least two separate rails extending in the longitudinal direction of the ski, which are used for fastening functional elements, for example a binding or its elements or a binding plate, by sliding it onto the rail. The rails are connected via a plurality of molded dowels or anchor sections by a dowel connection or anchorage with the ski body.

The DE-C-195 27 063 describes a ski in which the ski binding by means of a base / support plate can be attached to the ski. The base / support plate has in width mutually variable jaws, which engages by means of clamping edges in a longitudinal groove and the ski side surfaces and thus can be brought into the locked position. The jaws and guide blocks arranged thereon slide in a guide slot and a guide rail of the base plate according to the ski width. A centering of the base plate and a horizontal clamping action of both jaws takes place by a single screw or nut. The disadvantage of this construction is in particular the use of a separate binding plate to see, through which the bending line of the ski body is significantly affected. Furthermore, the binding plate protrudes on both sides in the transverse direction across the width of the ski body, so that this construction, for example when cornering, especially in connection with carving skis, is disadvantageous because the binding plate gets in contact with the ground.

The DE-C-29 11 199 describes a fastener for a ski binding without the use of mounting screws with mounting jaws, which protrude into the region of the ski side surfaces, in the distance mutually changeable and can be brought into clamping position and at their free ends to the ski directed projections which engage in existing in the ski side surfaces longitudinal grooves , In this construction too, the fastening element projects beyond the width of the ski body, which also has disadvantages with regard to the use of the ski.

The EP-A-0 383 104 refers to a ski with a ski binding, which consists of toe cheeks and a heel holder coupled to this via a connecting link. Toe and heel holder are each mounted on a cross-sectionally U-shaped slide, are attached to the free leg ends inwardly projecting flanges, which are mounted in a ski-resistant guide rail. Also in this case, a binding plate is provided, which extends beyond the width of the ski body.

The EP-A-0 451 132 describes a ski with integrated parts for fixing binding parts. The ski has a substantially plate-shaped support body which extends in the longitudinal direction of the ski and which is rigidly connected to the ski body in a region of the support body which faces the ski longitudinal direction. The support body has in the outside of the rigidly connected to the ski body area in the longitudinal direction extending guide rails or grooves for the determination of the binding parts. The pointing in the ski longitudinal direction ends of the support body are arranged at a distance from the top of the Skiobergurtes. The support body is preferably connected to the ski body or the upper belt of the ski outside the area rigidly connected to the ski body with the interposition of a damping material.

The DE-A-197 53 451 discloses a ski binding attachment system having a ski-associated retention member releasably connected to a binding panel connected to a ski binding. The holding element is screwed to the ski body and can be connected to the binding plate, for example, by means of a dovetail guide. Due to this construction of the retaining element bolted to the ski body and the connecting plate attached thereto by means of a dovetail joint, the bending line of the ski is substantially influenced.

The EP-A-1 366 785 relates to a ski with a ski body and an integrated into the ski body mounting means for direct mounting of a binding on the ski. The width of the mounting device is in the range between 50% and 95% of the smallest width of the ski body. The mounting device preferably has at least one undercut groove extending in the longitudinal direction of the ski, which serves as a guide groove for inserting and holding the binding elements of the binding in the longitudinal direction over the ski. The ski binding is thereby directly mountable on the ski, while retaining all the benefits of using a binding plate and the optimal bending line of the ski.

Schneegleitbrettes angeordnet. The WO-A-03/039687 describes a ski or a snow sliding board with a recessed or recessed guide rail arrangement for therein displaceable and fixable in adjustable or predeterminable positions binding units or support members for binding units. The guide rail arrangement is provided in a platform-like region of the top side of the ski or of the snow gliding board which is integrated in the ski or the snow gliding board. The platform-like area and the Guide rail arrangement are arranged above a tensile-loadable upper structural layer of the ski or Schneegleitbrettes.

The DE-A-198 36 867 discloses a ski consisting of a ski body with a ski tip, a ski end and an intermediate binding region to which the binding or its elements can be fastened. The ski body consists of a core, two laterally, in the longitudinal direction over the entire length of the ski extending and the core laterally covering cheeks, from a core substantially upwardly covering and connected to the edge of the cheeks shell, a band-shaped material Metal existing upper chord and a likewise made of band-shaped material made of metal and extending over the entire length of the ski from the tip of the ski to the ski bottom chord. The upper chord of the ski has three profiles, each of which has larger dimensions in the ski longitudinal direction and of which a profiling extends over the binding region and in each case a profiling is provided on the front or rear ski region. The profiling provided in the binding region is formed by providing the upper flange with two slots extending parallel to the longitudinal axis, each spaced from the longitudinal edge of the upper flange and extending over the central part of the overall length of the profiling. In the area of the slots, both the shell and the top chord are recessed. In this recessed area, an elastic and damping material is provided directly on the core of the ski body that is so thick that it protrudes beyond the surface of the ski body.

The WO-A-01/45810 discloses a board-like sliding device of a plurality of layers arranged between a tread covering and a cover layer and a Kembauteil. At least one underside of the Kembauteils adjacent to a resilient under the forces occurring and resetting layer. The resiliently mounted on the elastic layer at least in the vertical direction to a sliding surface of the DC component Kembauteil forms on the upper side pressure-resistant extensions, or there are provided directly on the top of separate, pressure-resistant spacer elements. Fixing screws for binding parts or for their mounting rails or binding plates are anchored only in the extension of the core component or additionally still in the core component, or at the interposition of the spacer element, the mounting screws are supported only in the load-bearing core component. Thus, also in the case of WO-A-01/45810 the attachment directly to the core, that is realized by recess of all reinforcing layers.

The EP-A-1 329 243 discloses a ski having at least one member for arranging a ski binding or a part of a ski binding, said ski having a tread, a core, a surface foil and a plurality of reinforcing plies and being pressed in a mold having a mold top and a bottom mold part. The element for arranging or fixing a ski binding or a part of a ski binding is used at least in a reinforcing layer and in the surface film, pressed together with these and thus connected to the ski.

The present invention has for its object to provide an improved ski with an integrated binding assembly, which is inexpensive to produce and has the advantages of an integrated binding plate substantially, the properties of the ski are not significantly adversely affected. These objects are achieved with the features of the claims.

The invention is based on the basic idea of providing the ski with a ski body, a cover layer provided on the upper side of the ski body, a first mounting device for a front binding element attached to the ski body and a second mounting device for a rear binding element separate therefrom. The cover layer is at least partially recessed in the region of the mounting devices in order to fasten the mounting device to the intact ski body. The mounting devices protrude away from the ski body beyond the cover layer. Preferably, the two mounting devices are separated from each other or not firmly connected.

The mounting devices are designed in principle in the form of a binding plate and attached to the ski body. The ski body of the ski according to the invention is constructed substantially in the conventional manner, that is, it has a core and at least one, preferably more reinforcing layers on its upper side (top flange) and at least one, preferably several reinforcing layers on its underside (bottom flange). According to the invention, the mounting devices are fastened to the upper belt of the ski body without adversely affecting the reinforcing ply (s) forming the upper belt. Optionally, intermediate layers present between the cover layer and the top flange may optionally also be recessed at least partially corresponding to the cover layer in the region of the mounting devices. Preferably, the mounting devices are glued to the ski body. Typically, the ski body has a prepreg, so that the mounting devices can be laminated onto the prepreg. It may be advantageous if between the ski body and the mounting means an elastomeric material, such as a rubber layer, is inserted.

In order to fix the mounting devices on the ski body, it is advantageous to provide the cover layer in the region of the mounting device with one or more recesses. These can either already be provided in the cover layer during their application or be removed from the ski body provided with the complete cover layer, e.g. by punching, cutting, milling, etc. The at least one recess in the cover layer per mounting device is advantageously dimensioned such that the mounting device covers a circumference of the recess. According to a preferred embodiment, a plurality of recesses per mounting device are provided, which are each separated by a connecting web. As a result, the shape of the overall relatively large recess remains substantially stable, so that it can be ensured that the edge region of the cover layer is fixed under a peripheral region of the mounting device. Preferably, three recesses and two connecting webs per mounting device are provided. In addition, it may be preferable to provide at least one splice for prefixing and / or positioning the assembly devices on the at least one connecting web. For this purpose, a hot melt adhesive is preferably used. The underside of the mounting device is preferably formed substantially complementary to the recess (s), so that the largest possible and flat contact surface is provided.

It may also be preferable to provide at the mounting means at least one mounting pin, which projects into the ski body after attaching the mounting device. The mounting pin is preferably undercut so that it ensures a better anchorage in the ski body by backfoaming is possible. In addition, it may be advantageous that the fastening pin has a tip, so that it can pierce the prepreg of the ski body without pre-drilling during forming or pressing.

The cover layer can be recessed in the region of the mounting device in the form of two longitudinal slots, projecting through the mounting elements of the mounting device. As a result, the main body of the mounting device between the cover layer and the ski body is arranged, which appears visually very appealing.

Further, the mounting means may comprise a raster mechanism with which the binding elements are latchable positioned on the ski. The width of the mounting devices is preferably in the range between 50% and 95% of the smallest width of the ski body, particularly preferably in the range between 75% and 90% of the smallest width of the ski body. The mounting devices are preferably designed such that the binding elements can be fastened by clamping on the ski. For this example, the mounting devices have at least one extending in the longitudinal direction of the ski undercut groove. Preferably, however, two mutually parallel grooves are provided per mounting device, which are open at sides facing each other or point away from each other.

Epoxidprepregs bereitzustellen. The material selection or the material combination for the mounting device, in particular the part of the mounting device in which the groove is formed, should be chosen so that good sliding properties are provided for the bond to be mounted. For example, in the case of a profile formed of metal on the binding elements, the integrated guide part or the groove of the mounting device should preferably comprise a suitable thermoplastic, a fiber-reinforced plastic, in particular fiberglass-reinforcing plastic, or a plastic-coated metallic material. In some cases, it may be preferable to treat the mounting device in order to provide an affinity to the epoxy resins or epoxy prepregs typically used in the ski body for a sufficient integration into the ski body.

Care should be taken in the geometric design of the ski body that on the one hand the sliding of the binding parts, especially as a choice with a ski brake and a connecting tongue between the binding parts, easy to do and on the other hand, the differential bending stiffness or bending line of the ski is not significantly adversely affected , This is done according to the invention in particular by the fact that the ski body, that is to say in particular the ski core, lower belt and upper belt, remain intact even in the area of the mounting devices. In particular, the upper belt of the ski body undergoes no significant weakening due to the arrangement of the mounting device according to the invention, so that the differential bending stiffness or bending line of the ski in the region of the mounting devices is essentially unchanged. It may also be advantageous to influence the differential bending strength or bending line, for example, by suitably changing the cross-sectional shape of the ski body along the length of the ski.

The longitudinal fixing of the binding parts (cheek and heel part) is preferably carried out analogously to the binding assembly on conventional binding plates, which allow a free bending or flexing by their integrated guide. This is particularly advantageous in order not to distort the bending of the ski as a result of the arrangement of the binding and the shoe on the ski, that is to say that it does not adversely affect its bending line. Thus, for example, the fixation of the jaw part of the binding and a free flexing of the heel part via the connecting tongue with which the jaw part is connected to the heel part is possible. Conversely, the heel part can also be attached and the jaw part can move freely. The fixation of the respective part with respect to possible longitudinal displacements can be realized for example by a Verrasterung, clamping, bracing and the like in the guide.

For mounting a binding to the ski according to the invention, first of all an engagement device of the binding which can be brought into engagement with the mounting device is provided. Subsequently, the engagement means of the binding and the mounting device of the ski are brought together. Finally, the binding is fixed to the ski by means of the mounting device. The engagement means of the binding preferably has projections which are inserted during the merging in a groove of the mounting device. The fixing of the bond is preferably carried out exclusively by clamping. Preferably, the binding has two binding elements and optionally a ski brake, which are connected to each other by a connecting web.

The in FIG. 1 illustrated ski 2 according to the invention essentially comprises an elongated ski body 4 with a front ski end 6 and a rear ski end 8, and a first mounting means 10a for a front binding element and a second mounting means 10b for a rear binding element. On the ski body 4, a cover layer 12 is provided, which is usually constructed multi-layered.

The mounting devices 10 a and 10 b are attached to the ski body 4 in such a way that it is sufficiently firmly connected to the ski body 4 in order to receive the binding elements and withstand the loads occurring during the use of the ski 2.

According to the preferred embodiment of the ski 2 according to the invention shown in the figures, the mounting devices 10a and 10b are formed such that the binding elements from the front end 4 and / or pushed from the rear end 8 of the ski 2 and can be attached thereto preferably by clamping. For this purpose, the binding elements according to the in Figures 1, 1a . 2, 2a . 4, 5 and 6 illustrated embodiment on its underside in each case a substantially in cross-section inverted T-shaped engagement means, the free ends of which engage in respective provided on the sides of the mounting means 10a and 10b longitudinal grooves 14 and 16. Alternatively, the binding elements may each have on their underside a substantially cross-sectionally C-shaped engagement means, the free ends of which engage in respective provided on the sides of the mounting means 10a and 10b longitudinal grooves 14 and 16, as shown in the FIGS. 7, 7a and 8 is shown.

Breite von etwa 1,5 bis 4, 0 mm, besonders bevorzugt von etwa 2, 0 bis 3,0 mm.The mounting devices 10a and 10b preferably project beyond the otherwise substantially flat surface or top surface 18 of the ski 2 and are typically in the conventional binding mounting region of the ski. The height of the ski 2 in the region of the mounting device 10 is preferably in the range between about 12 to 25 mm and may vary along the length of the ski 2. The width of the mounting device 10 is in the range of about 50 to 95%, preferably in the range of about 75 to 90% of the smallest width of the ski body 4. The groove 14 or 16 preferably has a depth of about 2.0 to 5.0 mm, more preferably from about 2.5 to 3.5 mm, and a height or width of about 1.5 to 4, 0 mm, more preferably from about 2, 0 to 3.0 mm.

In the in the Figures 1 and 1a In the embodiment shown, the mounting devices 10a and 10b are mounted uncovered on the ski body. In contrast to that in the in the Figures 2 and 2a In the embodiment shown, the mounting devices 10a and 10b are attached to the ski body in such a way that the cover layer 12 largely covers the mounting devices 10a and 10b and essentially projects beyond the cover view 12 only the longitudinal grooves required for fastening the binding elements.

In the FIGS. 3 and 3a two exemplary embodiments of the ski body 4 and the cover layer 12 of the ski according to the invention are shown in plan view. The ski body 4 of the ski 2 according to the invention essentially has a running surface, a lower belt and a top belt, on which a covering layer 12 is provided, which extends from the running surface around the ski core from one side of the ski 2 to the other. The ski core is essentially composed of individual layers that are glued together and pressed together, typically made of organic materials (eg wood), with additional deposits being able to be provided. The top or bottom chord of the ski body 4 preferably consists of one or more reinforcing layers (not shown), which may be formed, for example, of metal or plastic (eg epoxy prepregs).

The mounting devices 10, which may also be referred to as guide parts, preferably comprise a thermosetting plastic, thermoplastic, fiber-reinforced plastic, in particular glass-fiber reinforced plastic, or a plastic-coated metallic material, with the free ends of the usually made of metal (eg steel) Engagement means of the binding elements to provide good sliding properties, so that the binding elements can be moved well along the ski 2.

Epoxidprepregs herzustellen. It should also be taken into account that it may be advantageous for a sufficient binding of the mounting devices 10 to the ski body 4 to carry out a pretreatment (eg adhesive pretreatment) of the parts to be joined in order to obtain the necessary affinity for the epoxy resins typically used in ski construction, or Epoxidprepregs produce.

The mounting device 10 may for example be a prefabricated profile or receiving rail, which already has the grooves 14 and 16. When gluing the ski body 4, the mounting devices can be pressed together. For this purpose, according to the invention, the cover layer 12 is at least partially recessed in the regions of the mounting device 10 or provided with one or more recesses 20. In the region of the recesses 20, the mounting device 10 is fixed with its underside 22 on the ski body 4, in particular glued. For this purpose, preferably one or more intermediate layers (not shown) may be provided between the underside 22 of the mounting device and the ski body 4. In particular, it may be advantageous to provide an elastomeric or rubber interlayer to effect improved bonding and / or damping. According to the invention, the mounting device is thus mounted on the completely intact ski body, that is to say the ski body including upper and lower belt. As a result, the ski body undergoes no significant weakening and the differential bending stiffness or bending line of the ski is essentially retained.

According to the in the FIGS. 3 and 3a illustrated embodiments, a plurality of recesses 20 are provided, which are separated by connecting webs 24 from each other. The webs 24 may in particular serve to minimize a tendency to deformation of the cover 12 before the pressing of the ski 2. This can be done as in FIG. 3 shown straight webs 24 or as in FIG. 3a shown connecting webs 24 may be provided with one or more thickened portions 26. Furthermore, it may be advantageous to provide splices 28 in the region of the webs, with the aid of which preliminary positioning and / or prefixing of the assembly device 10 can be achieved. This minimizes the possibility of shifting the individual elements prior to compression. Further, it is preferable to pattern the bottom surface of the mounting device 10 complementary to the recess (s) 20 to provide large and flat contact areas.

As already stated above, the mounting device 10 is provided in the binding mounting area and projects beyond the surface 18 of the ski 2 upwards. This arrangement of the mounting device 10 brings the bond to a somewhat elevated level, which is particularly helpful for carving skis.

The recess 20 can be produced, for example, by punching out the cover layer. As in FIG. 4 illustrated, it is preferable to dimension the recess so that the periphery 30 of the cover layer 12 is below the mounting device 10. For this purpose, the mounting device 10 is preferably offset in its peripheral region 32, so that the periphery 30 of the cover layer 12 is received underneath. As a result, even with slight distortion of the cover layer 12 during processing, it is ensured that the cover layer 12 lies below the mounting device 10.

According to the in the FIGS. 6 and 8th Ausführungsfbrmen shown, it is also possible to provide at least one mounting pin 34 on the mounting device 10. This can advantageously have an undercut 36, so that in this area a rear grip provides additional support which is particularly useful when introducing foam material. Preferably, the pin 34 is provided with a tip 38 to allow piercing of the prepreg without requiring pre-drilling.

The ski 2 according to the invention has the particular advantage that it can be produced inexpensively and thus can realize the positive effects of a ski with integrated binding plate.
