Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for treating a Paper web, which dries the paper web and through a calender.
- the invention relates to the treatment of SC paper in the off-line process.
- the paper web overdried. Over-drying means that the paper web is so dry that it does not work anymore be satisfactorily satined in a calender can. To make the calendering possible, the paper web becomes then rewetted on the for the off-line calendering necessary humidity of 7 to 12%. These Remoistening is done so far in the paper machine after the dryer section and before rewinding.
- the invention is based on the object with little Effort a satisfactory result in the treatment to achieve in the calender.
- This object is achieved in a method of the aforementioned Art solved by putting the paper web on a moisture content of at least 7% dries, winds up, in the wound state for a predetermined rest period temporarily stored, unwound and then through the calender leads, wherein a cross profile control of Moisture makes.
- the paper web is no longer overdried. she is dried to a humidity at which the paper web can still be satined. The case may be remaining moisture is eliminated one by a combination of two measures. On the one hand If you take a cross-profile control of moisture before. On the other hand, the paper web is allowed to be wound up Rest state for a predetermined rest period, so that a balance between adjacent areas of the wound Paper web can be done. The compensation can be done in all directions. This intermediate storage takes place on the drum in the time of Winding up to off-line calendering. Both measures Together, a paper web, the cross profile of the Moisture even enough for a satisfactory Quality is.
- the Paper web has already in the wound state a relatively even humidity. So that's the top Although not yet eliminated mentioned moisture. But one creates a condition for that the moisture from these moisture nests can distribute relatively quickly and uniformly, so that one with the predetermined rest time a paper web with receives a sufficiently uniform moisture profile.
- the moisture of the paper web is increased after drying by 1 to 5 percentage points and takes care of the cross-section control of the moisture.
- a cross profile control It is necessary to achieve something Apply moisture to the paper web.
- These Moisture amount can be relatively small. frequently moisture levels in the order of 1% suffice. In particular, if the paper web up 7% moisture has been dried down, but it can be desired to use a higher moisture application, To satiate the paper web with an increased humidity to be able to.
- the moisture is increased by means of a gas-powered nozzle applicator.
- a Nozzle applicator also called nozzle moistener can be referred to, the used for moisturizing Liquid, usually water, ejected through nozzles and thereby atomized.
- the compressed gas has two Tasks. It leads on the one hand to the fact that the liquid as it exits the nozzle is atomized. On the other hand Helps the gas with the liquid on the surface to transport the paper web.
- the order of moisture after unwinding has the advantage that the Moisture until the time when the paper web the the first nip of the calender passes through, only the surface areas can wet the paper web. It results So not a complete moisture of the paper web. The result is a moisture gradient.
- the middle of the Paper web (in z-direction) remains drier, so that the Paper web in the calender is not compressed so much, as in the state of complete hydration. you can thus achieve a volume-smoothing.
- the Time between the wet job after unwinding and passing through the first nip of the calender should be in the range of 0.1 to 1 s, in particular in the range of 0.3 to 0.6 s. These Times are enough for the surfaces of the paper web so far wet that on the one hand a sufficient uniform moisture profile is achieved, on the other hand achieved the calendering in the calender with the desired smoothness can be.
- a zone-controlled drying element For example, by an infrared dryer be realized, the transverse to the direction the paper web is divided into individual sections, which can be controlled individually.
- the paper web without rewetting through the calender leads. If the transverse profile of the moisture already by the zone-controlled Sufficiently uniformize drying elements can, then the remoistening is unnecessary, which leads to a further energy saving can.
- the wound paper web is stored for at least 20 minutes between. This is true only a relatively short time. Already this short time But enough to keep the moisture in sufficient To eliminate dimensions.
- a paper web 1 is shown in a schematic only Paper machine 2 produced and in a dryer section 3 of the paper machine dried. The drying takes place so that the paper web 1 at the output 4 the dryer section has a moisture content of at least 7% but preferably 8 to 12%. Such Moisture of the paper web would be sufficient to the paper web satin in an off-line calender 5.
- the paper web 1 is in a winding 6 on a Tambour 7 wound up.
- the wound on the drum 7 Paper web 1 remains for a predetermined rest period on the drum 7, i. she is stored there. This rest period can also be formed by the time that you need to get the tambour 7 from the Winding 6 to a settlement 8 before the calender. 5 to transport.
- the rest period is at least about 20 minutes.
- a sensor arrangement 9 provided, each having a sensor 10th for the underside of the paper web and a sensor 11 for the top of the paper web 1 has. It is also possible to use only a single sensor, then makes a so-called translucent measurement.
- the sensors 10, 11 determine the humidity of the Paper web or parameters correlating therewith of the paper web 1. If the determined humidity is not a desired one Default value, then there are several Ways to change the humidity. These possibilities can be either alternative or shared become.
- the sensor arrangement 9 to connect with a zone-controlled drying element 12, which is arranged in the dryer section 3.
- a zone-controlled drying element 12a can on the opposite Side of the web 1 may be arranged.
- This element may be, for example, an infrared dryer or another radiation dryer act, the transversely to the direction of the paper web 1 in divided into several sections, which are individually controlled can be. The sections can be relative small extent of the order of 10 to 30 cm, so that thereby a relatively fine Dissolve the moisture in the cross machine direction can. If one uses the transverse profile control of the humidity exclusively via the zone-controlled drying element 12 performs, then you can the moisture of the paper web. 1 relatively dry down to the desired target moisture. Of course, more than just an illustrated drying element 12 is provided be.
- the sensor arrangement 9 to connect with a wet application unit 13, a first nozzle humidifier 14 for the bottom and a second nozzle humidifier 15 over the top the paper web 1 has.
- a wet application unit 13 a first nozzle humidifier 14 for the bottom and a second nozzle humidifier 15 over the top the paper web 1 has.
- the two nozzle moisteners 14, 15 can be one or two-sided additional Moisture after drying on the paper web 1 apply depending on the signal of the Sensors 9.
- the additional humidity is of the order of magnitude from 1 to 3%, maximum 5%.
- the liquid used for humidification is using of pressurized gas from the nozzle moisteners 14, 15 ejected. As a gas you can steam here, especially Steam, use.
- the water vapor carries in addition to moistening the surfaces of the paper web 1 at. Also air is usable as gas to to transport the moisture to the web 1.
- zone-controlled drying elements 12 and a moisture applicator 13th use together, if you can use the moisture profile the paper web 1 can still improve.
- the moisture application by the moisture application device 13 can be relatively low. It serves only to even out the moisture profile in the cross machine direction. An increase in the humidity of the paper web 1 total is not required because the paper web 1 has not been overdried before.
- paper web 1 is, as mentioned, on the spool 7 wound up. In the wound state no need "big” moisture balance will take place more. Accordingly can the local moisture nests dissolve, which may still be in the paper web 1 are available.
- the drum 7 transported from the winding 6 for settlement 8 and unwound there, so that the paper web 1 through the Calender 5 can be performed. Even after unwinding you can to even out the moisture profile Apply moisture to the paper web 1.
- another moisture applicator 17 with two nozzle humidifiers 18, 19 just behind the settlement intended.
- the moisture application device 17 is controlled as a function of a sensor arrangement 20 each with a sensor 21 for the underside of the paper web 1 and a sensor 22 for the top of Paper web 1.
- the sensor assembly 20 forms together with the moisture application device 17 a control loop.
- the calender can also be equipped with additional moisture application equipment 23, 24 may be arranged to the humidity the paper web 1 to a desired value.
- the method described is particularly also in Connection with at least one single-row dryer group and / or high vacuum boxes in the dryer section interesting. Also, the use of a dilution hydrogen casserole and a gapformer, as well as at least a shoe press, optionally with at least one Steam box can be equipped leads to favorable results with calendering in the calender 5.
