Abstract

A paper (12) making machine (10) simultaneously modifies both the transverse moisture cross-sectional profile and curl. The machine (10) especially. incorporates a moisture regulator (22). The transverse moisture cross-sectional profile and curl are especially individually and separately regulated. The moisture regulator (22) is a pneumatically-driven array of atomizing water jets (26) emitting two components at a rate of approx. 15-20 liters/hr. Each water jet spray passes via a droplet measuring Sauter sensor set for (100 m and maintained at a constant average during operation. One first jet component determines the moisture, while the second jet component determines the curl. Also claimed is a commensurate process for the correction of transverse moisture cross-sectional profile and curl.

Description

The invention relates to a device and a method for producing and / or treating a fibrous web, in particular paper or board web.

For influencing curl (curl) of paper webs, for example, water is applied evenly over the web width by means of nozzles. It is essential that the water is applied to one side or at least in different amounts on the two sides in a bidirectional admission. Thus, the swelling change of the fibers between the top and the bottom of the web during the drying process is specifically influenced and corrected accordingly the curl behavior.

The water can be applied via nozzles or special roller applicators. In the case of high-quality papers in particular, attention must be paid to the best possible moisture cross-section. This is achieved by sectionally controllable nozzle dampers.

So far, separate devices were required for simultaneously influencing curl and moisture transverse profiles. However, such known designs are now very expensive in terms of investment and maintenance.

In the hitherto customary nozzle dampers for adjusting the moisture profile, the maximum application amount per nozzle is in a range of 12 to 15 l / h with a droplet diameter Sauter ≤ 100 microns. The so-called Sauter diameter is an average diameter used for spray characterization. A drop of this diameter has the same volume to surface ratio as the total (spray) sample, ie the sum of all surfaces and volumes.

In the hitherto conventional devices, the correction of the curl, i. the flatness of the paper by a two-row arrangement of the drying cylinder at least at the end of the dryer section or a steam application on the paper underside after the dryer section and / or an additional application of water to the paper web bottom.

With the previously known devices results in part, a relatively poor flatness of the paper.

The invention has for its object to provide an improved device and an improved method of the type mentioned, in which the aforementioned disadvantages are eliminated.

This object is achieved by a device for producing and / or treating a fibrous web, in particular paper or board web, with a both the influence of the moisture profile and the influence of the curl of the fibrous web serving nozzle moisturizer, wherein the moisture profile and the Curl can be influenced separately from each other,
wherein a respective throughput of the Düsenfeuchters composed of a proportion for Feuchtequerprofilbeeinflussung and a proportion for curl influencing and wherein the intended as a base load share for curl influencing in a range between 10 to 50% of the total throughput is or is adjustable.

For example, from the patent US 5,416,980 a method and an apparatus for the dryer section of a paper machine are known which are intended to reduce the curl tendency of the paper. The paper web is dried by pressing on the drying cylinder through a drying wire. Over the entire width of the paper web, hot steam is supplied in the dry section, by means of which stresses built up in the fiber web are to be relieved. In this way, the curl and / or moisture profile should be influenced.

From the EP 0 742 313 A2 also shows a drying section for a paper machine. This has an over the Papierbahribreite extending moistening device, which is arranged after the drying section and in front of a calender.

The WO 00/00696 A1 shows various devices for moistening a paper web passing through a drying group of a paper machine, for example by moistening rollers or moistening felts.

Due to this design, the corrections of the moisture profile and the curl are now made by means of a single compact unit, e.g. possible by means of a single nozzle moistener. This is especially true for graphic papers such as e.g. Newsprint and in particular SC papers, which are produced in the online process (press and supercalender), of considerable advantage.

Thus, according to the invention, two requirements or functions (moisture transverse profile, flatness) are united or realized in a single aggregate. It is thus possible, for example, a leveling of the moisture profile of the fibrous web with simultaneous minimum Rückbefeuchtung the web over the entire width to ensure the flatness of the fibrous web. Reliable moisture cross profile control and flatness correction is still possible at higher machine speeds, i. with a short residence time of the web in the area of the moistening unit, ensured. The device according to the invention is particularly suitable for papers of high basis weight.

In particular, it is also essential that the two functions (moisture transverse profile, curl) can be fulfilled not only in parallel but also independently of one another, despite the use of a single moistening unit.

In a preferred practical embodiment of the device according to the invention, the moistening unit comprises a nozzle moistener which simultaneously serves both to influence the moisture transverse profile and to influence the curl of the fibrous web.

The nozzle moistener may be provided with pneumatic atomizing nozzles.

Advantageously, the nozzle moistener is provided with dual-substance nozzles. These may for example have such a structure, as shown in the DE 199 49 236 A is described. It can therefore be used in particular with a gaseous medium and a liquid medium acted upon two-component spray nozzles.

The average throughput of the nozzles of the nozzle moisturizer, determined from the total throughput of the nozzles divided by their number, is preferably ≥ 15 l / h. In this case, the average throughput of the nozzles of the nozzle moisturizer can be in particular in a range of 15 l / h to 30 l / h and preferably in a range of 15 l / h to 20 l / h.

The average throughput of all nozzles should therefore be as large as possible or equal to 15 l / h. Here, the average nozzle flow rate is defined by the ratio of the total throughput of the humidifying unit to the total number of nozzles.

Preferably, in each spray jet generated by the moistening unit, the droplet diameter according to Sauter is ≤ 100 μm irrespective of the respective nozzle throughput.
This ensures that the droplet size distribution of a particular spray jet is still fine enough even at high nozzle throughputs, especially at high web speeds of, for example, v ≥ 1200 m / min and in particular ≥ 1400 m / min. In the case of the moistening unit according to the invention, the nozzle throughput is greater than in the case of the known nozzle moisteners, since the throughput consists of one component

Curlbeeinflussung und einem Anteil zur Feuchtequerprofilbeeinflussung zusammensetzt.Curl influence and a proportion of the moisture profile influencing is composed.

In a preferred practical embodiment of the device according to the invention, the average nozzle throughput is kept at least substantially constant during operation.

Thus, for example, during the production of a certain type of paper, the average nozzle throughput can be kept constant in order to subject the amount of water to be evaporated in the subsequent drying no temporal variations, whereby time-stable Endtrockengehalte be achieved in the paper web.

The intended as a base load share curl influencing is preferably adjustable over the web width sectionally different. In principle, however, the proportion of the curl influencing provided as a base load can also be constant over the web width.

The capacity of the moistening device is preferably chosen to be so large that, despite a base load for the curl, there is sufficient potential for influencing the moisture transverse profile.

It is particularly advantageous if the proportion of the mean throughput of the nozzles affecting the influence of the curl is ≥ 2 l / h, in particular ≥ 3 l / h and preferably ≥ 4 l / h.

The moistening unit preferably comprises a plurality of nozzle rows extending transversely to the web running direction. In this case, for example, two or four rows of nozzles can be provided. Advantageously, five, six, seven or eight rows of nozzles can be provided, wherein preferably six or eight rows of nozzles are provided.

There are several design and technological concepts of a nozzle humidifier for simultaneous profiling and Curlbeeinflussung conceivable.

Thus, according to an expedient embodiment of the device according to the invention, for example, all nozzles of the nozzle moistener can simultaneously serve both to influence the moisture transverse profile and to influence the curl of the fibrous web.

In another expedient embodiment, for example, a part of the nozzles of the nozzle moisturizer serves exclusively to influence the moisture profile and a part of the nozzles exclusively to influence the curl.

According to a further expedient embodiment, a part of the nozzles of the nozzle moisturizer serves at the same time both to influence the moisture transverse profile and to influence the curl of the fibrous web and a part of the nozzles exclusively to influence the curl.

It is also conceivable, for example, such an embodiment, in which a part of the nozzle of the nozzle moisturizer both the influence of the moisture profile and the influence of the curl of the fibrous web and a part of the nozzle serves exclusively to influence the moisture profile.

Grundsätzlich sind auch beliebige andere Düsenfeuchter-Konzepte denkbar. In principle, any other nozzle-moisture concepts are conceivable.

The spray quantity delivered by the moistening unit for influencing the moisture transverse profile is preferably separable in sections as seen in the transverse direction. Preferably, each individual nozzle is separately adjustable.

At least for influencing the moisture transverse profile, at least one control circuit and / or at least one control circuit is advantageously provided.

In a preferred practical embodiment of the device according to the invention, the regulation or control of the influence of the curl takes place as a function of the mean moisture content of the web and in particular the size of the curl determined in the laboratory test.

The moistening unit is advantageously arranged in a region in which the dry content of the fibrous web is ≥ 80% and preferably ≥ 85%.

The sectioning or zoning is preferably variable. Thus, the zone width can be varied, for example, in a range between 25 and 100 mm.

The moistening unit is preferably arranged below the lower rollers within a single-tier dryer group.

In certain cases, it is also advantageous if the moistening unit is installed on the last suction roll of the last or penultimate drying group.

According to a further expedient embodiment of the device according to the invention, a steam blower box is provided in front of or within a smoothing device following the drying section for an additional influencing of the curl or the flatness and the surface condition of the fibrous web. The moistening unit according to the invention can therefore also be provided, in particular, in combination with a steam moisturizer inserted in front of or inside a smoothing device following the drying section for further improvement of the flatness and surface condition of the paper.

The device according to the invention can be used with particular advantage in a papermaking process with complete or partial one-sided drying of the paper or cardboard or with one-sided surface treatment, for example gluing or brushing, or with an asymmetrical layer structure.

According to the invention, the object specified at the outset is moreover achieved by a method for producing and / or treating a fibrous web, in particular paper or board web, in which a common moistening unit is used for influencing the moisture profile and for influencing the curvature of the fibrous web, via which the moisture transverse profile and the curl can be influenced separately from one another.

Preferred embodiments of the method according to the invention are specified in the subclaims.

Because of the solution according to the invention, therefore, a single unit is sufficient to correct the moisture and the flatness. Overall, there is a lower investment requirement and a lower maintenance. After using the unit according to the invention for the rewet of the fibrous web for simultaneously influencing the moisture profile and the flatness of the fibrous web eliminates the use of a downstream moistening for curl correction, a subsequent undesirable influence on the moisture profile and the surface properties of the paper is excluded.

The invention will be explained in more detail below with reference to an embodiment with reference to the drawing; in this show:

FIG. 1 shows a schematic partial representation of a device 10 for producing and / or treating a fibrous web 12, which may be in particular a paper or board web. The device 10 may thus be in particular a paper machine. In the FIG. 1 is a part of the drying section 14 and a winding device 16 can be seen, in which the pulp or paper web 12 is wound up.

In the area of the drying section 14, in the present case below a suction roller 18 of an upper drying cylinder 20 comprising a single-row dryer group, a simultaneously both the influence of the moisture profile and the influence of the curl of the fibrous web 12 serving humidification unit 22 is provided, a control and / or Control unit 24 is assigned.

In particular, the moistening unit 22 may comprise a nozzle moistener which simultaneously serves both to influence the moisture transverse profile and to influence the curl of the fibrous web 12.

As based on the FIG. 1 can be seen, the moistening unit 22 a plurality, in the present case, for example, four transversely to the web running direction L extending rows of nozzles 26, via which the order Suction roll 18 guided fibrous web 12 can be acted upon accordingly.

The moistening unit 22 formed in the present case by a nozzle moistener can in particular be provided with pneumatic atomizing nozzles 26 and, for example, with two-substance nozzles 26, as described in US Pat DE 199 49 236 A are described. In principle, however, any other types of nozzles can be used.

The average throughput of the nozzles 26, determined from the total throughput of the nozzles 26 divided by their number, is preferably ≥ 15 l / h. Advantageously, in each spray jet 28 generated by the nozzles 26, the droplet diameter according to Sauter is ≦ 100 μm irrespective of the respective nozzle throughput.

While the front row of nozzles in the web running direction L is provided for influencing the curl, the subsequent remaining three rows of nozzles 26 serve to influence the moisture profile. As already mentioned, any other number of nozzle rows is conceivable in principle.

In the area between the dryer section 14 and the winding device 16, a traversing measuring device 29 is provided which delivers individual measured values x for the web moisture and corresponding respective snapshots of the moisture transverse profile to the control and / or regulating unit 24.

Via the control and / or regulating unit 24, valves 30 are respectively driven or regulated in lines 32 leading to the nozzle rows 26.

The spray quantities delivered by the relevant rows of nozzles 26 for influencing the moisture transverse profile are, viewed in the transverse direction, preferably adjustable separately in sections. In particular, such an embodiment is also conceivable in which the moisture transverse profile can be set separately for each nozzle row concerned. To influence the moisture cross profile, the control and / or regulating unit 24 may comprise one or more control and / or control circuits 34. Also for influencing the curl, the control and / or regulating unit 24 preferably again comprises one or more regulating and / or control circuits 36. also one or more of these higher-level control and / or control circuits may be provided. In general, both functions (moisture profile, curl) comprehensive control and / or regulation is conceivable.

For influencing the curvature, the relevant nozzle row 26, here e.g. the first row of nozzles, viewed in the web running direction L, is acted upon by the control and / or regulating unit 24 with a corresponding manipulated variable, which in the control and / or regulating unit 24 is connected to the control unit 24, e.g. was generated by averaging over the width and over which the base load is set, which determines the proportion of the nozzle throughput for curl influencing.

Via the control lines 42 connected to the control outputs x 1 -x n of the control and / or regulating unit 24, the valves 26 of the remaining valve rows serving to control the humidity profile are acted upon by the respective local humidity values x i . In particular, a moisture transverse profile control can take place. In principle, however, a control is conceivable. With regard to the influence of curvature, both a control and a regulation are conceivable in principle.

The manipulated variable for influencing the curl can basically also be adjusted manually.

To produce a respective type of paper, the average average nozzle throughput can be kept at least substantially constant.

In the diagram according to FIG. 2 the nozzle flow rate over the web width is shown. As can be seen from this diagram, a respective nozzle throughput (volume / time) V ' Ges (x) is composed of a proportion V' FQP (X) for moisture transverse profile influencing and a proportion V ' curl for influencing curl. In this case, the proportion V ' curl for influencing the curvature forms a type of base load, to which the variable portion V' FQP for moisture cross profile influencing is added. The proportion of the curl influencing provided as the base load can be set constant over the web width or differently in the sections.

In the diagram according to Fig. 3 For example, an actuating or nominal profile of the nozzles is indicated by way of example. In this case, area a) specifies the base load for the curl and b) the area for the profiling. If several rows of nozzles are provided, these can have identical setting or setpoint profiles or else different setting or setpoint profiles. As already mentioned above, fundamentally different types of nozzle dampening concepts can be used.
