Description

The invention relates to a device for producing ice, comprising a water-filled container having a plurality of partitions. The device is used in particular for the production of small pieces of ice as they are used for the preparation of alcoholic and non-alcoholic mixed drinks, especially cocktails.

Known devices for producing ice are designed as rigid or elastic ice cube containers whose container volumes are subdivided into the desired shape of the ice cubes. Furthermore, from the DE 298 24 112 U1 an ice cube bag is known in which chambers are formed between two film webs, so that from the filled water ice cubes can arise.

Such known devices for producing ice have the disadvantage that the ice cubes produced are not so small that they can be used without further work step for the preparation of mixed drinks, such as cocktails. The ice cubes produced must be crushed by hand or by means of an ice crusher to prepare mixed drinks.

From the FR 2 170 348 A For example, a device for producing ice is known, which has a container with corrugated dividing walls. To demold the ice cubes, the wavy partitions can be stretched.

Proceeding from this, the present invention seeks to provide a device of the type mentioned, which allows a simple and rapid production of small pieces of ice in high yield, so that they can be used without an additional crushing process for the preparation of mixed drinks.

This object is solved by the features of claim 1. The essence of the invention is that in the wells can form a plurality of small pieces of ice, which are separated by the partitions. To remove the small pieces of ice, the partitions can be moved relative to each other. Characterized in that the partitions have a plurality of recesses and the partitions are arranged adjacent to each other, a simple and rapid production of small pieces of ice is achieved in high yield. The shape and size of the ice pieces produced results from the shape and size of the spaces between two adjacent partitions.

Preferably, each two adjacent partitions are arranged so that they touch. Ideally, it is thus avoided that the individual pieces of ice are connected by ice ridges.

Vorzugsweise bestehen die Trennwände aus einem folienartigen Material mit einer Wandstärke von weniger als 0,5 mm.Conveniently, the partitions are elastically deformable, so that the pieces of ice can be removed quickly and easily. Preferably, the partitions consist of a film-like material with a wall thickness of less than 0.5 mm.

It is advantageously provided that the partitions are arranged vertically in the container, so that the individual partitions for demolding the ice cubes are easily accessible and the ice pieces can easily fall out of the container during demolding.

Conveniently, it is further provided that the partitions are removable from the container, so that the pieces of ice can be easily and quickly demoulded into a reservoir.

Advantageously, it is further provided that the container has a watertight bag and a container base body for fixing the partitions during freezing. On the one hand, this enables the pieces of ice to be removed from the mold immediately into the bag acting as a storage container and, on the other hand, to fix the dividing walls relative to each other by means of the container base during the freezing of the pieces of ice, so that ideally no ice bars are formed between the pieces of ice.

It is expediently provided that the container base body has two pivotally interconnected fixing elements, so that the partitions for demolding the ice pieces can be easily removed from the container base body.

Advantageously, the fixing elements are fastened to each other by means of a U-shaped retaining clip, so that an additional connection of the fixing elements during the freezing of the ice cubes is possible.

Advantageously, it is further provided that the partitions are arranged on a handle element, so that they are easily removed from the container.

Conveniently, the partitions are movable relative to each other by deformation of the handle element, so that the partitions are on the one hand connected to the handle member and on the other hand, a simple demolding of the ice cubes is possible. In particular, it is advantageous if the distance between two partitions at the junction with the handle member by bending or stretching of the handle member is changeable. Conveniently, the handle element in a temperature range of - 30 ° C to - 40 ° C by at least 10% of its initial length stretchable.

With reference to the Fig. 1 to 10 a first embodiment of the invention will be described. A device 1 for producing ice comprises a container 3 which can be filled with water 2 and has a plurality of dividing walls 4. The dividing walls 4 are arranged substantially parallel to one another and immediately adjacent to one another and fastened to a cover-shaped gripping element 5. The lid-shaped handle member 5 is arranged for closing the container 3 on this, so that the partitions 4 fill the space bounded by the container 3 interior. Each partition wall 4 has a multiplicity of depressions 6, it being possible for small pieces of ice 7 to form in the interstices 8 formed by the depressions 6 between the dividing walls 4. The interspaces 8 formed by the recesses 6 can in principle have any shapes, such as rhombic shape or lens shape. The FIGS. 2 and 3 show a partition 4 with recesses 6 for the formation of lenticular Ice Pieces 7. The container 3 is made of an elastic material such as rubber or silicone material. The partitions 4 are also made of an elastic material, such as rubber material, which is still elastically deformable even at low minus temperatures in the range of - 10 ° C to - 20 ° C. In principle, however, partitions 4 made of injection-molded plastic can be used, wherein the recesses 6 are either deep-drawn or already formed during injection molding. Embossing of the depressions 6 is also possible.

To produce small pieces of ice 7, the container 3 is first filled with water 2 and immersed the partitions 4 by means of the handle element 5 in the water 2. Subsequently, the ambient temperature is brought below the freezing point of the water 2, so that the water 2 between the partitions 4 freezes, as in Fig. 4 is shown. After freezing the water 2, the partitions 4 can be removed by means of the handle member 5 from the container 3. The frozen between the partitions 4 water 2 adheres - as in Fig. 5 The handle element 5 with the partitions 4 and the frozen water 2 is then brought over a large reservoir 9, as in Fig. 6 is shown. Now the small pieces of ice 7 formed between the partitions 4 can be removed from the mold. For this purpose, the partitions 4 are elastically deformed and moved relative to each other, so that the small pieces of ice 7 between the partitions 4 can fall down into the reservoir 9, as in Fig. 7 is shown. If the grip element 5 is also made of an elastic material, demolding of the small ice pieces 7 by pulling or bending is also possible - as in FIG Fig. 8 and Fig. 9 is shown - possible, so that by changing the distance between two adjacent partitions 4 the Ice pieces 7 can easily fall out. In particular, in the region of the connection points between the partitions 4 and the handle element 5, an easy removal of the ice pieces 7 is possible by increasing the distance between the partitions 4.

Fig. 10 shows a detailed view of several adjacent partitions 4, wherein the two middle partitions 4 touch. The ice pieces 7 forming between these two partition walls 4 are completely separated from one another, whereas all the other pieces of ice shown have 7 ice bars 10 which connect the ice pieces 7 to one another. The Eisstege 10 break during removal of the ice pieces 7.

With reference to the FIGS. 11 and 12 A second embodiment of the invention will be described. The second embodiment shows an economically producible device 1 for the production of ice, which is intended for single use. The container 3 and the partition walls 4 are made of a thin sheet-like material. The essential difference with respect to the first exemplary embodiment is that each partition wall 4a, 4b, 4c has its own grip element 5a, 5b, 5c. Each of the partitions 4a, 4b, 4c is foldable on both sides of the associated handle element 5a, 5b, 5c. The length of the individual partitions 4a, 4b, 4c and the width of the associated gripping elements 5a, 5b, 5c are stepped, so that the partitions 4a, 4b, 4c can be placed one after the other in the container 3, starting with the partition wall 4c. The grip elements 5a, 5b, 5c are arranged one above the other and protrude out of the container 3. By simply pulling out the folded partitions 4a, 4b, 4c, the small pieces of ice 7 can fall out freely.

The following is with reference to the FIGS. 13 and 14 A third embodiment of the invention described. The main difference compared to the first embodiment is that the partitions 4 are fixed to a container bottom 11 of the container 3. The container bottom 11 and associated container side walls 12 have a wall thickness of less than 1 mm. The container bottom 11 and the container side walls 12 are made of an elastic material. To remove the pieces of ice 7, the container 3 is brought over the reservoir 9, wherein by turning the container 3 and re-crimping the container side walls 12, the pieces of ice 7 fall into the reservoir 9.

The following is with reference to the FIGS. 15 and 16 A fourth embodiment of the invention is described. The essential difference with respect to the first embodiment is that the container 3 has a watertight, film-like bag 13 and a container base 14 for fixing the partitions 4 when freezing the water 2. The container main body 14 comprises two pivotally interconnected fixing elements 15, each having a main wall 16 and two side walls arranged perpendicular thereto and integrally formed therewith side walls 17. For pivotal connection of the two fixing elements 15 pivot bearings 18 are provided on the side walls 17. For collapsing and unfolding the fixing elements 15 also releasable snap fasteners 19 are attached to the side walls 17. The side walls 17 additionally have filling amount markings for controlling the filled amount of water. The individual partitions 4 are adjacent to each other and touch each other. The bag 13 completely surrounds the partitions 4 and is folded over in the region of its closed end 20, so that the folded-over region of the bag 13 is subsequently removed for receiving the part Ice pieces 7 can serve. In the region of its open end 21, the bag 13 protrudes beyond the fixing elements 15, so that water 2 can easily be filled into the bag. The bag 13 with the partitions 4 is arranged within the fixing elements 15 such that the fixing elements 15 press the partitions 4 against each other and fix relative to each other. For fixing the fixing elements 15 together, a U-shaped retaining clip 22 is provided, which can be fastened to the unfoldable end of the container base body 14 on the main walls 16 of the fixing elements 15. The container body 14 and the retaining clip 22 are made of injection-molded plastic. The partitions 4 are made of a film-like material.

For the production of small pieces of ice 7, the partitions 4 are first arranged one above the other and introduced approximately to the middle of the bag 13 in this. The lower half of the bag 13 is then folded over so that the closed end 20 points in the direction of the open end 21. Subsequently, the bag 13 is introduced with the partitions 4 in the unfolded container base body 14, and the fixing elements 15 are folded and locked by means of the snap fasteners 19. The fixing elements 15 are now close to the bag 13, so that the partitions 4 are pressed together and fixed relative to each other. In the region of the open end 21, the bag 13 projects beyond the container main body 14. In this way, the filling of water 2 is easily possible. The filled amount of water can be easily controlled by means of the Füllmengenmarkierungen. In order to prevent the main walls 16 of the fixing elements 15 bulge outwardly through the filled water 2, the retaining clip 22 is fitted over the main walls 16 to stabilize the same. Before attaching the retaining clip 22, the bag 13 is in the area of his open end 21 folded and thus closed odor-tight. After the filled water 2 is frozen, the retaining clip 22 is removed, and the snap fasteners 19 are released on the fixing elements 15. The container base 14 can now be unfolded and the bag 13 with the partitions 4 are easily removed. By bending the partitions 4 and moving the partitions 4 relative to each other, the ice pieces 7 are removed from the mold and fall into the no longer folded lower portion of the bag 13. The bag 13 thus serves as a reservoir 9. The partitions 4 can now from the bag 13 are taken for reuse.

The following is with reference to Fig. 17 A fifth embodiment of the invention is described. The essential difference compared to the first embodiment is that the partitions 4 are arranged lying in the container 3 and pressed against each other by means of a cover member 23 and fixed relative to each other. The cover element 23 can be fastened to the container 3 by means of undercuts 24. In addition, the partitions 4 can be arranged according to the fourth embodiment in a bag 13, which simultaneously serves as a reservoir 9 during removal of the ice pieces 7.
