Description

The invention relates to a mobile partition according to the preamble of claim 1.

Mobile partitions are used to equip and limit exhibition stands, as well as subdivide living or working spaces as needed. It is desirable to design the partition foldable to store them to save space can. Typically, such partitions consist of several wall elements, which are designed as rigid rectangles and which are hinged together. Although such partitions are collapsible, but also in the collapsed state, the size of at least that of a wall element.

From the DE 39 21 913 A a partition is known which has a scissor-like collapsible frame. As a result, a large collapsibility is guaranteed, but the construction is very complex and generally not made of wood, which limits the usability in a domestic environment, but also in the area of some offices. In addition, the frame has a three-dimensional structure, which is not always allowed in terms of space requirements.

Furthermore, from the DE 299 19 367 U a screen is known in which a sail-like surface is mounted on a substructure. The frame is formed of nested flexible rod elements. The assembly of such a device is complex and it can not be easily achieved without stringing construction.

The present invention relates to partitions that consist of a single wall element, as well as partitions, which consist of several contiguous or interconnectable wall elements.

The object of the invention is to provide a partition which avoids these disadvantages and which is easily collapsible to a relatively small size, with particular emphasis placed on an aesthetically pleasing shape and sufficient stability is ensured. In particular, a high functionality is required, which is expressed inter alia by the fact that the partition can be easily folded or placed without special aids.

These objects are achieved by an embodiment according to claim 1.

Essential to the invention is the fact that the frame can be folded in a simple manner. In particular, even if the first struts have a joint, when folding a format can be achieved, which is smaller than each extension of the frame in the position of use. Another important aspect is the fact that the partition can be designed in an aesthetically sophisticated manner, since the design requirements do not affect the design. Preferably, the frame is formed substantially rectangular or square, so that the appearance corresponds to the conventional partitions.

The fabric is made of a flexible fabric which has sufficient elasticity to absorb the strains occurring during folding without damage and fire-resistant equipped.

However, it is particularly preferred if the first struts lie within the plane defined by the four corner points and are curved. This means that the vertical struts are either curved inwards, so that the wall element is concave, or that they are curved outwards, so that the wall element is convex. Additionally or alternatively, it may be provided that the second struts are curved relative to the plane defined by the four corner points. This means that these struts lie in a substantially horizontal plane. A combination of these measures causes the fabric to bulge in the form of a saddle surface, such as a hyperbolic paraboloid, which provides both stability benefits and a particularly pronounced appearance.

A particularly advantageous functionality is achieved in that the joints of the first struts are formed as hinged joints and each having a hinge axis which is arranged substantially parallel to the plane defined by the four corners and preferably lies within this plane. This means that the upper half of the partition can be folded down about a substantially horizontal axis. Furthermore, it is advantageous in this context, when the joints of the second struts are formed as hinged joints and each having a hinge axis, the is arranged substantially perpendicular to the plane defined by the four corners.

The stability in use can be increased by providing holding pawls in the region of the joints in order to be able to lock the joints in the position of use.

A particularly preferred embodiment of the present invention provides a plurality of wall elements connectable to a divider wall, wherein the shape of a first leg of a first wall element is conformed to the shape of a first leg of the second wall element. As a result, a complete connection of the individual wall elements is ensured. In this case, it is possible in a favorable manner, the first strut of the first wall element is convexly curved and that the first strut of the second wall element is concavely curved.

The stability in use can be further increased by providing a stiffening strut which can be clamped between the first struts of a wall element. Alternatively, stiffening struts may also be provided diagonally in the region of the corners of the frame.

In a visually appealing way, the partition may have a frame made of aluminum profiles, plastic profiles or wood.

The wall element of Fig. 1 consists of a frame 1, which is composed of two substantially vertically arranged first struts 2, 3 and two substantially horizontally arranged second struts 5, 6. In the frame 1, a fabric 6 is suspended, which represents the actual privacy. Foot elements 7 are used for safe installation of the partition. Furthermore, two horizontally arranged stiffening struts 8 are provided, which are supported on the first struts 2, 3 and are suspended in these.

Fig. 2 zeigt schematisch das Einhängen der Versteifungsstreben 8. Fig. 2 schematically shows the attachment of the stiffening struts. 8

Fig. 3 shows a partition, which is composed of two wall elements 10, 10a. A first strut 2 of the first wall element 10 corresponds in shape to a first strut 3a of the second wall element 10a, so that they join each other substantially seamlessly. The two wall elements 10, 10a are interconnected by at least one bracket 9, which in Fig. 4 is shown in enlarged scale.

Furthermore, it is off Fig. 3 it can be seen that the second struts 4, 5 of the first wall element 10 are curved forward, while the second struts 4a, 5a of the second wall element 10a are curved backwards. Forward or backward refers to the plane which is spanned by the corner points 11 and 11a of the frame 1 and 1a of the wall elements 10 and 10a, in which the struts 2, 3, 4, 5; 2a, 3a, 4a, 5a are hinged together. The first struts 2, 3 of the first wall element 10 are curved outwardly in the plane spanned by the corners 11, so that the first wall element 10 has a convex shape, in contrast, the first struts 2a, 3a of the second wall element 10a are inward curved so that the second wall element 10a has a concave shape.

The Fig. 5 shows a variant in which at the first struts 2, 3 storage elements 12, 13 are removably attached. Furthermore, at the upper second struts 4 lighting elements 14 are provided in a removable manner.

The FIG. 6 to FIG. 9 show the unfolding of a wall element 10 according to the invention. First, in the direction of the double arrow 15, the pivotally arranged foot elements 7 are unfolded. Thereafter, the first struts 2, 3 are erected according to the arrow 16 by the hinges 22, 23 provided in the middle of the first struts 2, 3 are brought into their extended position. In this way, a position is achieved, which is essentially that of the Fig. 7 equivalent. Thereafter, the second struts 4, 5 unfolded by the hinge joints 24, 25 of these struts 4, 5 are brought into their extended position. In the position of Fig. 8 this is already the case for the lower second strut 5 the case, while the upper second strut 4 by lifting the hinge joint 24 in the direction of the arrow 17 still needs to be stretched. The extended position of the hinge joints 22, 23 24 and 25 is secured by retaining pawls 18 which engage in a pin 19.

The present invention makes it possible to achieve a stable and shapely design of a partition, which has a high functional value, since it is very small collapsible in a simple manner.
