- both a wheelchair accessible curb as well as a bordering on the curb attention field for the visually impaired are provided. These are arranged at a distance of a few meters from each other at the edge of the road, so that visually impaired and wheelchair or Rollatorwise cross the road at different points.
- This As a result, the crossing point as a whole is relatively wide, which is problematic in terms of safety, since the drivers of passing vehicles in a correspondingly wide zone have to reckon with the road users crossing the roadway.
- Another disadvantage is that it is optically highly fragmented by the various elements of the transition point, which produces an unfavorable street scene.
- WO 01/57341 A1 From the WO 01/57341 A1 is a paved walkway with a barrier-adapted crossing known, in which a far reaching into the sidewalk ramp is provided, which connects the level of the walkway with the level of the road and thus can be easily driven up and down by a wheelchair user.
- a number of curbs separating the sidewalk from the pavement are broken to ensure unrestricted accessibility.
- the sloping portion of the ramp further includes an attention field that can be easily felt by a visually impaired pedestrian.
- a tactile guidance system for an attention field is from the DE 296 14 809 U1 is known and has the shape of a plate, so that from a plurality of plates an attention field of the desired size can be assembled.

- the in the 6 and 7 Groove profiling can be easily tactilely analyzed by the visually impaired by means of its blind stick and thus replaces a roadside curb which is adjacent to the field of attention and otherwise serves the visually impaired as a recognition feature for the roadway edge. Based on the orientation of the grooves, the visually impaired can easily determine their position relative to the roadway. Furthermore, the attention field 6a is arranged symmetrically with respect to the molded body 1, which means that the central axis of the field of attention arranged perpendicular to the roadway coincides with the central axis of the molded body.
- the molded body 1 is preferably designed in several parts and comprises a central transition region U, which is formed from two frontally adjacent, identically shaped molded body parts 2, and two connecting regions V which surround the transition region 1, which are each formed in one piece from a molded body part 3, 4. All shaped body parts 2, 3, 4 are preferably designed as precast concrete parts. It is understood that a one-piece design of the Shaped body 1 is also possible, but depending on the width of the crossing point can mean a high transport and loading costs.
- the molded body parts 2 forming the transition region U each have a surface section 2 a sloping down to the roadway 5, which constitutes a continuous transition between the level of the roadway 5 and that of the pavement 6.

Description
The invention relates to a paved sidewalk section as a barrier-free transition point between a road and a sidewalk or bike path with a built-in curb, sloping from the level of the pavement or bike path to the level of the road curbside wheelchair and Rollatorfahrer and a profiled field of attention for the visually impaired with a the attention field in the direction of the roadway upstream palpable curb.
In the handicapped-accessible development of roads and sidewalks, it is crucial that disabled road users with different physical disabilities, such as the visually impaired or wheelchair users, especially in the area of busy roads, particularly secure overpasses on the road, such as traffic light crossings or crosswalks, can use. The transitions between the sidewalk or bike path and the road at these crossings are to be designed so that they are on the one hand easily accessible for all disabled walkway side and on the other hand take into account the limited extent of the secure transition. A well-usable for the visually impaired roadway crossing must meet certain requirements, for example, which differ greatly from those that provide wheelchair and Rollatorfahrer to suitable crossings. Thus, visually impaired persons are alerted to a nearby lane crossing by a profiled field of attention provided on the sidewalk, which they feel with their guide stick. Based on the road noise they then orient themselves in the direction of the road and try to locate the edge of the road by tracking the curb with their blindstocks. Visually impaired persons are thus dependent on the presence of a curb. This should be at least 3cm above the road level to prevent misinterpretations.
On the other hand, curb edges, even at low altitudes, are a sometimes impassable obstacle for wheelchair users and, in particular, wheelchair users. Consequently, wheelchair users and wheelchair users must rely on special curb driveways, which ideally do not contain any steps.
In a transition point known from practice, which is suitable for the visually impaired and wheelchair or Rollatorfahrer, both a wheelchair accessible curb as well as a bordering on the curb attention field for the visually impaired are provided. These are arranged at a distance of a few meters from each other at the edge of the road, so that visually impaired and wheelchair or Rollatorfahrer cross the road at different points. This As a result, the crossing point as a whole is relatively wide, which is problematic in terms of safety, since the drivers of passing vehicles in a correspondingly wide zone have to reckon with the road users crossing the roadway. Another disadvantage is that it is optically highly fragmented by the various elements of the transition point, which produces an unfavorable street scene.
It is therefore an object of the invention to provide a paved walkway section as a disabled access point between a lane and a walkway or bike path, which can be used equally well by wheelchair and Rollatorfahrern, visually impaired and other road users and the effortlessly into an existing walkway or bike path can be installed.
The object is achieved by a paved walkway section according to the preamble of claim 1, characterized in that the curb drive is formed by a molded body having a sloping surface portion with a visually impaired profiling as a substitute for a tactile edge of the curb and seen the field of attention across the road in extension of the curb on the sidewalk or bike path is arranged and extends over the entire width of the pedestrian or cycle path.
By merging the field of attention and the curb access the installation of the transition point can be carried out with little effort on earthworks. The comparison with the known from the prior art transition point greatly reduced width of the transition point according to the invention has the further advantage that it is easily used even in places with limited space, for example, in commercial streets or at traffic light transitions. The usability by wheelchair and Rollatorfahrer one hand and the visually impaired on the other hand in any way limited. Characterized in that the attention field according to the invention is arranged transversely to the road in extension of the curb on the sidewalk or bike path, eliminating the roadside curb, which otherwise serves the visually impaired as a distinctive feature for the roadside. This is replaced according to the invention by a visually impaired profiling of the molded body, on which visually impaired can orient themselves well by means of their stick. At the same wheelchair or Rollatorfahrer can easily pass the designed as curb run molding to cross the lane.
According to a first embodiment of the invention, the visually impaired profiling of the molded body is designed as a transverse to the road surface aligned groove profile. Such grooves are particularly recommended by DIN 32984, as they can be analyzed using a blind stick particularly tactile. In contrast to, for example, a dimpled profile, a groove profile with the orientation of the grooves has a preferred direction, which allows trained visually impaired people to easily orientate with respect to their own position relative to the roadway.
Practical tests have shown that grooves with a trapezoidal profile have particular advantages. In contrast to the widespread wave profiles, a trapezoidal profile can still be felt well with a blind stick, even with heavy soiling.
In contrast to the molding, it is advantageous to provide the attention field with a knob profile.
Since the field of attention is merely intended to attract the attention of the visually impaired person, without necessarily requiring him to change direction, it is preferred to use the non-directional nub profile.
The curb access and at the same time the distinguishing feature for the visually impaired representing molded body can be carried out in various ways. Particularly preferred is a molded body, which comprises a central transition region and two connection areas enclosing the transition region, wherein the central transition region has a sloping surface portion as a continuous transition between the level of the road and that of the pavement or cycle path and the connecting portions one outwardly in the direction of the adjacent Curb pointed tapered surface portion as a continuous transition between the contour of the transition region and the curb and that the visually impaired profiling is provided on the respective sloping surface portions of the transition and the connection area.
The sloping surface section of the central transition area allows a comfortable, because stepless up and down wheelchair users. The continuous transition between the contour of the transition section and that of the adjacent curb ensures accident-free passage of the transition section even with an inclined up and down. By profiling the sloping surface sections of both areas, the transition point can be found quickly even for the visually impaired and thus allows these people one safe crossing over the road, without wheelchair or wheelchair drivers are obstructed even at an inclined driveway by the profiling.
Preferably, the field of attention is arranged symmetrically to the molded body. This means that the center axis of the field of attention arranged perpendicular to the roadway coincides with the central axis of the shaped body. As a result of this measure, the sidewalk section according to the invention can be made optically particularly attractive.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the width of the attention field measured in the longitudinal direction of the lane is less than or substantially equal to the width of the central transition region of the molding. This ensures that the visually impaired always use the transition area to move from the pavement or bike path on the road or in the reverse direction, and thus avoid the inclined surfaces of the connecting areas, which can confuse the visually impaired.
Preferably, the shaped body is designed in several parts. Preferably, the connecting regions are each formed from a molded body part and the transition region depending on the desired width of the transition point of one or more molded body parts. Especially with widely-designed crossing points, such a multi-part solution does not lead to transport and loading problems.
A particularly cost-effective production of the transition point forming elements can be characterized achieve that the shaped body is designed as a precast concrete part.
The configuration of the top of the transition region can be done in various ways. Thus, on the one hand, the sloping surface portion of the transition region may extend over the entire upper side thereof, as a result of which the gradient thereof is reduced. According to an alternative embodiment, however, the sloping surface portion may also be bordered by roadways and / or on the bicycle or walkway side by a strip of planar design.
In the case of a particularly high curb adjacent to the transition point, it makes sense to form at least the curb elements directly adjoining the shaped body with a top sloping downwards in the direction of the shaped body.
According to a further advantageous embodiment, the width of the transition region of the shaped body is parallel to the roadway 1 m and the width of the connecting areas in each case 0.5 m. This ensures that the transition point formed from the molded body can be passed through this easily and accident-free even with inaccurate approach by a wheelchair user. On the other hand, the crossing point is also sufficiently limited in its extent parallel to the road surface, so that the risk is minimized, in particular for visually impaired people, to depart from the secured overpass on the road.
According to a further teaching of the invention, the shaped body is designed for installation on a street corner. This takes into account in particular that a large part of secured road junctions in the form of traffic light transitions at street corners is arranged in the crossing or turning area.
To make a street corner as a starting point for a road crossing through the formed from the molding body transition point for the physically disabled completely, the transition area is expediently composed to form a curve contour of several straight molded body parts, wherein the joints widen between the mold blocks towards the road side wedge-shaped. According to an alternative embodiment of the transition region is formed to form a curved contour of a plurality of curved, substantially gap-free adjacent shaped body parts. In order to simulate the comparatively small radius of the roadway curvature on a street corner, it is expedient if the length of the molded body parts forming the transition area is in each case less than 1 m and is preferably 0.5 m or 0.33 m.
