Der Außendurchmesser des Stiftabschnitts 9 entspricht mit geringer Toleranz dem Innendurchmesser des Hohlraums 12. Der Lagerzapfen 3 verhindert so ein ungewolltes Verkanten des Stiftabschnitts 9 und schützt so das Gewinde des Stiftabschnitts 9 und der Bohrung 10 vor Beschädigung. Zum einen erlaubt er, das Innengewinde der Bohrung 7 wesentlich länger zu machen, als es der eigentlichen Materialstärke des Trägerarms 1 entspricht, so dass der Fuß 4 ohne Gefahr einer Beschädigung des Gewindes mit hohem Gewicht belastet werden kann, zum anderen dient er als Rastanschlag für eine flexible Zunge 14 des Steckschuhs 2 und hält diesen so am Trägerarm 1 fixiert, auch wenn der Stiftabschnitt 9 des Fußes nicht in seinen Hohlraum eingreift. Ausgangspunkt der Zunge 14 ist eine Brücke 15, die zwei Seitenflanken des Steckschuhs 2 unterhalb des Trägerarms 1 miteinander verbindet und so die Steifigkeit des Steckschuhs und seine Belastbarkeit durch auf den Lagerzapfen 3 einwirkende Kippmomente erhöht.Fig. 5 shows a perspective view of the door bearing bracket from below, with the foot 4 is omitted.
