Abstract

The method for the lateral alignment of a material web is through a means for side offsetting and allocated roll changer. In dependence upon a position of the means for the side offsetting the control unit (114) of the roll changer receives a defined remote or local signal for the correcting of the position of the roll (104,106). A change of the lateral position from a first position into a corrected position of an actually wound roll in the roll changer takes place if the means for lateral offset reaches a predetermined limiting adjusted position. An independent claim is included for a device for the lateral alignment of a material web.
