Description

US-A-4 931 174 .The invention relates to a sighting means for sifting a product stream within a dispensing apparatus for feeding a cigarette rod making machine, wherein the vision means is formed as a substantially vertically oriented zigzag sifter and forming a sight line, divided viewing space with at least one access for inside the Viewing line to be seen product flow, see. US-A-4,931,174 ,

The product stream is supplied within the distributor device from a reservoir by means of a conveying element, preferably a vertical conveyor, to the viewing means. The screened product stream is then passed on a transport route in a stowage night. The viewing means is therefore preceded by the delivery tube within the distributor device in the transport direction of the product stream. Known sight of this type have a viewing space in which to be processed portions of unprocessed portions of the product stream are separated by an air flow. The product stream is formed from individual tobacco portions, which are added in the area of an access into the visual means. Due to the air flow within the viewing means, ie in the sight line defined by the viewing area, the tobacco portions are pulled apart in an uncontrolled manner, which leads to an uneven distribution of the product flow across the width of the viewing space or the sighting line. Due to the uneven across the width supply of the product flow to the stowage even the filling of the stowage even over the width is uneven. Such an uneven filling can in turn lead to a disruption in the formation of a tobacco rod in the downstream cigarette rod machine.

It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a visual means that allows a simple filling of the Steschachtes with simple means, especially if the view means is upstream of the stowage in the transport direction of the product stream.

This object is achieved with the subject matter of claim 1 in particular in that the viewing space is divided by partitions into chambers, wherein each partition is broken. Due to the subdivision of the viewing space, a uniform distribution of the product stream or the tobacco portions over the width of the viewing means or the viewing space is substantially simplified, since the air flow within the viewing space can only slightly spread apart the product stream or the tobacco portions, so that the stowage uniform can be filled. Additional means for equalizing the product flow across the width can therefore be dispensed with.

In a preferred development of the invention, the viewing space has a plurality of, preferably seven, separate chambers. The formation of several individual and independent chambers facilitates the uniform distribution of the product flow across the width of the viewing space, so that the filling of the downstream Stächachtes inevitably also takes place evenly.

Advantageously, each chamber has its own access in the region of a front side of the viewing means. As a result, the uniform filling of the viewing space is ensured, so that the chambers are filled evenly.

According to the invention, the chambers are formed by partitions which extend from opposite sides of the viewing means, namely from the front wall to the rear wall and are particularly advantageously at least partially perforated. This type of training ensures in a particularly reliable and at the same time material-saving way, the separation of the product flow into several streams within the viewing space. Also, the open design of the partitions allows an intervention in the viewing space from the outside with little effort, in all chambers.

Preferably, the viewing space is formed visible from the outside, whereby the constant monitoring of the viewing process is ensured on-line.

Sighting agents are used within dispensing devices for sifting through a product stream, particularly for separating portions of the product stream to be processed and unprocessed.

In the FIG. 1 a distributor device 10 is shown with its essential components useful for understanding the invention. These include in the transport direction of the product stream, starting from a reservoir 11, a conveyor, which is preferably designed as a steep conveyor 12, a sight 13, a to the The viewing means 13 preferably has an access 16 for inputting the tobacco portions supplied by the vertical conveyor 12, which form the product stream to be viewed. In the area of the access 16, a separating roller 17 is optionally arranged, which supports the transition of the tobacco portions from the vertical conveyor 12 into the viewing means 13.

The viewing means 13 comprises a viewing space 18. The viewing space 18 is formed of a front wall 19, a rear wall 20 and side walls 21, 22. Within the viewing space 18, a sighting line 23 is defined, along which the product stream is sighted by means of an air flow. The front wall 19 and the rear wall 20 are spaced apart and expediently arranged substantially parallel to each other and zigzag-shaped to form a so-called zig-zag separator. The zig-zag sifter is oriented substantially vertically. The access 16 in the viewing space 18 is preferably arranged in the upper half of the viewing space 18 on the front wall 19.

The viewing space 18 is divided into at least two, preferably a plurality of sections 24. Each section 24 extends substantially vertically in the direction of the sight line 23. In an in FIG. 2 illustrated non-inventive embodiment, the sections 24 are completely shielded from each other by the viewing space 18 is divided into preferably seven separate chambers 25 which have no access to each other within the viewing means 13. Within each chamber 25, the line of sight 23, or a part thereof extends such that seven individual lines of sight 23 extend parallel but separated from each other in the viewing space 18. The chambers 25 are formed by partitions 26 which extend from the front wall 19 to the rear wall 20. Preferably, each chamber 25 is associated with an access 16. The partitions 26 are as well as the side walls 21, 22 formed at least partially transparent, so that an inspection of the entire viewing space 18 is ensured from the outside.

The dividing walls 26 extend on the input side, ie in the region of the or each access 16 at which the transfer of the tobacco portions to the viewing means 13 takes place, as far as the steep conveyor 12 or the separating roller 17. The out of the vertical conveyor 12 supplied tobacco portions are thus inevitably in one of the chambers 25 feasible. On the output side, ie in the region of the transition between the viewing means 13 and the transport path 14, the partitions 26 extend into the transport path 14. In one embodiment, not shown, the dividing walls 26 may extend within the transport path 14, such that the sighted product stream, ie in particular the portions of the product stream suitable for processing, evenly distributed across the width of several channels within the transport path 14 into the stowage 15 can be directed.

The embodiment of the invention is constructed essentially identical, so that is dispensed with a detailed description. The same reference numerals are used for the same parts. As claimed, the partitions 26 are in the in the FIGS. 3 to 6 broken embodiment shown. This means that the chambers 25 are at least partially open, so that adjacent chambers 25 are each in communication with each other. For this purpose, each extending a partition wall 26 guide elements 27 and 28 of the front wall 19 and rear wall 20 toward each other, wherein the baffles 27 and 28 of each partition 26 lie within a plane and are spaced from each other, so that between the end faces of opposite guide elements 27, 28 of an open partition wall 26 is a distance of preferably about 30mm.

In the embodiment according to FIG. 4 The baffles 27, 28 extend to form the chambers 25 in a substantially vertical direction from a lower bottom portion 29 continuously up to an upper outlet portion 30 of the product stream from the viewing space 18. In other words, the baffles 27, 28 with a radius to all corner portions 31 of the zig-zag-shaped front wall 19 and rear wall 20 pulled around. In the area of the access 16 or the entrances 16, the baffles 27, 28 run out in a ramp-like manner, such that the area of each access 16 or the transition into the viewing area 18 is free of outlet.

The baffles 27, 28 in the embodiment according to FIG. 5 are interrupted at least in some of the corner regions 31 at least partially. This means that the baffles 27, 28 terminate in front of or behind the corresponding corner regions 31, in this way the affected corner regions 31 are free of baffles 27, 28. The selection of the corner regions 31, which are free of baffles 27, 28, is variable and, like the dimension and design of the baffles 27, 28, depends crucially on the deflecting properties of the product stream to be observed. Also, the flow velocities of the air within the line of sight 23 and the angles of the zig-zag-shaped front wall 19 and rear wall 20 influence the baffles 27, 28. The width of each chamber 25 is usually between 140 and 160mm, but preferably 147mm. The number of chambers 25 is variable. Each chamber 25 is freely accessible from the outside. For this purpose, the side walls 21, 22 releasably secured, namely on (not shown) Flanschblechen which extend at an angle from the front wall 19 and rear wall 20.

From the FIG. 7 a further detail of the distributor device 10 can be seen. The in FIG. 7 shown steep conveyor 12 consists essentially of the actual conveyor belt 35 and a frame member 36 which supports the conveyor belt 35. The conveyor belt 35 has over the entire width driving means 37, which are formed in the embodiment shown as so-called combs 38. Several, preferably seven, combs 38 are distributed over the entire width of the conveyor belt 35 adjacent to each other, so that tobacco or the like can be fed uniformly over the entire width of the conveyor belt 35 to the sight 13. The number of combs 38 expediently corresponds to the number of sections 24 or chambers 25 to be filled. In the transport direction of the conveyor belt 35, the combs 38 are offset from one another. By this arrangement, an overlap of tobacco or the like in the region of the combs 38 is avoided, which in turn simplifies the threading or insertion of the tobacco into the chambers 25.
