Definitions
- the present invention relates to a window regulator and a vehicle with the window regulator.
- the 206CC vehicle has a window regulator for the rear window of convertible type motor vehicle.
- the window regulator comprises a panel, a slider plate to which is fixed a window, the slider plate being driven in translation along a slide on the panel.
- the platform is guided in translation along the slide via two sliders located at heights different.
- the sliders each include an elastic member catching the play between the tray and the panel.
- the elastic members are on the side of the turned panel towards the interior of the vehicle.
- the downside of this device is that providing rigidity to the device in a direction transverse to the direction of travel of the vehicle is not sufficient.
- the rigidity of the device does not does not overcome the aerodynamic effort causing the attraction of the glass towards outside of the vehicle.
- the upper edge of the glass held in overhang by the window regulator tilts, causing the upper slider.
- the elastic organ of the cursor upper is then stressed and cannot prevent the plate from moving away from the panel under the effect of aerodynamic effort.
- the upper edge of the window is not properly guided in the roof seals.
- the cursor comprises two jaws enclosing the slide.
- the jaws are biased towards each other by the play take-up member.
- the jaws follow the shape of the slide.
- the cursor comprises a pin extending to through a slot in the slide, the jaws sliding along the pin on either side of the slide.
- the play take-up member is a spring coaxial with the pin.
- the window regulator further comprises a second tray drive slider.
- the window regulator further comprises a second guide slider for the second slider and a second play take-up member between the second slide and the second cursor.
- the slides are in the same plane
- the play take-up members are each on one side of the plane.
- the invention also relates to a vehicle with a window regulator as described previously.
- the first cursor is above the second cursor.
- the invention relates to a window regulator comprising a glass support plate and a tray training slider.
- the cursor is guided by a slide.
- the window regulator comprises a single member for adjusting the clearance between the slider and the slide the member being between the plate and the slide.
- the catching member of clearance is not requested when the plate is requested in spacing from the panel. This has has the effect of increasing the rigidity of the window regulator, in particular towards outside of the vehicle, in a direction transverse to the direction of travel of the vehicle.
- FIG. 1 shows a perspective view of a window regulator.
- the window regulator 10 comprises a plate 14 supporting a window 13.
- the plate 14 is driven by a cursor 16.
- the cursor 16 is itself moved by a drive system 11.
- FIG. 1 shows the system 11 comprising a cable, references and a training drum.
- the drive system 11 will not be described further.
- the cursor 16 is guided by a guide slide 18. Moving cursor 16 on along the slide 18 allows the movement of the plate 14 and the elevation and lowering the window 13.
- the window regulator allows for example to operate a rear window of the vehicle automobile, especially of the convertible or coupe type.
- the rear window in this type of vehicle is not guided by window slides over the entire distance between the closed position and open position.
- the glass is then cantilevered and held by its lower part by the window regulator.
- Figure 2 shows a sectional view along A-A of Figure 1.
- a more view detailed view of cursor 16 is shown.
- the cursor 16 drives the support plate 14 of glass and the cursor 16 is guided in the slideway 18.
- the slideway 18 can be performed in a panel 12.
- the panel 12 is for example a panel intended for be attached to the body of a vehicle.
- the panel offers a support on which the whole window regulator can be mounted, and offers the window regulator thus mounted a more greater rigidity than a guide rail. In position in the vehicle, one side of the panel 12 occupied by the plate is turned towards the outside of the vehicle, while the other side of the panel 12 faces the interior of the vehicle.
- the window regulator comprises a member 22 taking up the play between the slider 16 and the slide 18, the member alone catching the play between the cursor and the slide.
- the member 22 makes it possible to make up for the play appearing during assembly (manufacturing dispersion) and make up for the play (wear in operation) of the cursor on the slide.
- the member 22 is between the plate 14 and the slide 18. The member 22 does not does not extend beyond the slide 18, towards the side of the slide opposite to that turned towards the plateau.
- the geometry of the slide 18 determines the up and down strokes of the glass 13.
- the geometry of the slide allows for example the glass to descend vertically or descend by undergoing a rotational movement (by combinations with slide 181 described below).
- Figure 2 shows the panel 12 and the slide 18 in section.
- the panel 12 extends along a mean plane P placed substantially vertically in the vehicle body; slide 18 is a recess in this plan.
- the recess improves the guiding of the cursor along the panel.
- the slide may include sides extending in planes substantially perpendicular to the mean plane P; alternately the flanks of the slide extend in inclined planes giving the slide a section truncated.
- the inclined planes flare from the bottom of the slide towards of the medium plane P so as to form a bowl.
- the tapered section of the slide 18 in panel 12 ensures better centering of the cursor within the slide 18. This improves the guiding of the cursor 16 in the slide.
- the slide 18 may have a slot 30.
- the slot 30 is made through the panel 12 and extends substantially over the entire length of the slide. Slot is made at the bottom of the slide 18.
- the slot allows the cursor 16 to extend to through the panel; this allows the glass support plate to be placed on one side of the panel 12 and have the drive system 11 on the other side of the panel 12.
- the slot 30 allows the cursor 16 to slide from one end of the slide to the other.
- the cursor 16 drives on one side of the panel 12 the support plate 14 and is driven on the other side of the panel by the drive system 11.
- the cursor 16 allows the drive of the plate 14 and the window 13. According to the representation of the figures, the cursor 16 extends on either side of the slide 18 to through the slot 30.
- the cursor comprises a pin 28.
- the pin 28 extends through the slot 30 and transmits the movements of the system drive 11 to the plate 14.
- the cursor 16 is connected at one end 32 to the drive system 11, for example via a spacer 34.
- the link with the training system can be classic.
- the cursor is linked by another end 31 of the pin to the plate 14 window support 13.
- a shoulder 33 can be provided near the end 31 to support the plate 14.
- the plate 14 can be retained against the shoulder 33 by riveting or by a screw introduced at the end 31 of the pin.
- the plate 14 can be made integral with the cursor 16.
- the cursor 16 can also include jaws 24, 26 enclosing the slide 18.
- the jaws 24, 26 ensure the holding of the cursor 16 along the slideway 18.
- the jaws 24, 26 are on either side of the panel 12 so as to retain the cursor 16 in translation in a direction transverse to the panel 12.
- the jaws 24, 26 conform to the shape of the slide 18. This improves the holding of the cursor 16 along the slide 18.
- the cursor 16 comprises a male jaw 24 and a female jaw 26.
- the cross section of the slide 18 being frustoconical
- the jaws 24, 26 have frustoconical sections.
- Male jaw 24 is constituted by a shoe having opposite sides inclined and shaped for it allow to enter the bowl defined by the inclined sides of the slide 18.
- the female jaw 26 is formed by a shoe having a obviously with inclined sides.
- the inclined flanks of the female jaw 26 cover the opposite side of the slide 18 by applying to the inclined sides of the slide which are complementary.
- the advantage of the tapered section of the slide is to allow centering of the cursor relative to the slide and by relative to the slot 30.
- the female jaw 26 cooperates with the male jaw 24 of so as to ensure the stability of the cursor along the slide.
- the jaws 24, 26 are urged towards each other by the take-up 22 of the game ensuring sliding contact between the jaws 24, 26 and the panel 12.
- the member 22 can be an elastic member coaxial with the pin; organ 22 is for example a spring coaxial with the pin 28.
- the mounting of the cursor shown in Figure 2 through the panel can be performed in the following order.
- the pin 28, possibly one-piece with the shoulder 33 is introduced through its end 32 successively through the member 22, the male jaw 24, the slot 30 of the panel 12 then the female jaw 26.
- the jaws 24, 26 are sliding along the slide to ensure the up / down movement of the platform.
- the end 32 can be introduced then in the spacer 34 allowing the connection with the drive system 11.
- the spacer 34 is then pressed towards the end 31 by biasing the member 22 so as to introduce a terminal circlip 36 at the end 32.
- the circlip 36 and the shoulder 33 block all of the elements in translation.
- Organ 22 is then kept under tension, making it possible to compensate for the play of the assembly and the wear of the elements.
- the member 22 urges the sliding jaws along the pin 28 towards each other and ensures sliding contact between the cursor and the slide.
- the aerodynamic force tends to spread the window 13 outwards, successively attracting outward the plate 14 and the cursor 16 by its end 31.
- the elements located between the panel 12 and the end 32 of the pin 28 is then urged towards the panel 12 by the action of the pin 28.
- the elements between the panel 12 and the end 32 of the pin 28 form a rigid stop for the slider and the play take-up member 22 being on the other side of the panel, it is not subjected to any constraint.
- the cursor 16 cannot then be driven in translation with the plate 14. This allows to overcome the effort aerodynamic.
- the distance between the panel 12 and the plate 14 remains invariant when an aerodynamic force tends to move the tray and the glass away from the panel. This gives the window regulator greater rigidity in one direction transverse to the direction of travel of the vehicle, towards the outside of the vehicle.
- the window regulator 10 retains the window 13 from a deformation towards the outside of the vehicle, allowing the upper edge of the window to properly enter the roof seal. Furthermore, the invention also has the advantage of better repeatability of the high or closed position of the window.
- Figure 1 shows the window regulator 10 having a second slider 161 drive plate 14 (the characteristics relating to the description of the cursor 16 which are found in the description of the second cursor 161, bear the same reference followed by the number 1).
- the presence of the second cursor 161 allows better stability of the plate relative to panel 12.
- the window regulator comprises then a second slide 181 for guiding the second cursor 161.
- the geometry of the two slides makes it possible to inflict a particular movement on the window when it is lowered, for example a tilting movement.
- the window regulator includes also a second backlash member between the second slide 181 and the second cursor 161.
- FIG. 3 shows a schematic profile representation of the window regulator 10 according to FIG. 1.
- the second cursor 161 can comprise, between its ends 311 and 321, the same elements as the cursor 16 previously described, namely, a pin 281, a shoulder 331, jaws 241 and 261 enclosing the slide 181, a spacer 341, the assembly being retained in translation by a circlip 361.
- the second play take-up member 221 is preferably mounted coaxially with the pin 281.
- the second member 221 is on the side of the slide 181 opposite to that facing the plate 14. The second member 221 does not extend beyond of the slide, towards the side of the slide turned towards the plate 14.
- the second member 221 allows the jaws to be pressed against each other to ensure a sliding contact between the second cursor 161 and the second slide 181 and for to make up for the play appearing during assembly (manufacturing dispersion) and to make up for the play (wear during operation) of the second slider 161.
- the slides 18, 181 both can be carried out in panel 12, in the same medium plane P.
- the common panel 12 makes the window regulator more rigid and easier to mount in the vehicle.
- the exterior of the vehicle is on the side of the mean plane P of the panel 12 occupied by the glass 13, the other side of the plane P being turned towards the interior of the vehicle.
- the panel 12 comprises the two slides 18, 181, one of the sliders 16 and 161 sliding in each of them.
- the cursor 16 is located above the cursor 161.
- the members 22, 221 of game take-up are each on one side of the mean plane P. They do not extend towards the other side of the middle plane P.
- the member 22 of the cursor 16 is between the plate 14 and the slide 18; the member 221 of the second cursor 161 is on the side of the plane P which is not turned towards the plate 14, but towards the interior of the vehicle.
- the window regulator and a window When the window regulator and a window are fitted in the vehicle, the window is kept cantilevered by the window regulator.
- the upper edge 40 of the window 13 rocks towards the ground.
- the tilting of the edge 40 requests the second cursor 161 towards the interior of the vehicle and requests the cursor 16 towards the outside of the vehicle.
- the two bodies 22 and 221 for taking up the clearance each being on one side of the mean plane P of the panel 12, the sliders 16 and 161 each come from one side of the panel in abutment against the panel 12, the members 22 and 221 not being used.
- the end 32 of cursor 16 abuts against the panel 12 and the end 311 of the cursor 161 abuts against the panel 12.
- the invention also relates to a vehicle comprising such a window regulator.
- the advantage is that during rolling with the window partially raised, the edge of the window held cantilevered by the window regulator does not tip over. This allows the window to be completely raised, during rolling, and the edge upper penetrates properly into the roof seal.
- the rigidity of the window to the outside is ensured with the window regulator previously described and comprising the first cursor 16, with the member 22 between the slide 18 and the plate 14, above the second cursor 161, with the member 221 disposed on the other side of the panel 12 relative to the member 22.
- the present invention is not limited to the embodiments described by way of example.
- the window regulator is not limited to use at the rear of a convertible or coupe type vehicle but can also be used at the front and on any type of vehicle.
- the invention is not limited to the use of jaws described to ensure the holding of the sliders in the slides. Otherwise, the invention is also not limited to the cross-sectional profile of the slide nor to the described profile of the jaws.
