Claims (10)

  1. Water jet spray device made up of basis components : a body (1), at least one clamp (10) and a perforated plate (23),
    - the clamp (10) being fixed to the body (1) in such a way as to keep the perforated plate (23), supported by a seal holder (14 or 621 or 721) held in position thereon and
    - the device comprising
    -- means (7-12) designated to spray water from the inside of the body (1) out through the perforated plate (23) and a longitudinal slot provided in the seal holder (14 or 621 or 721) and
    -- means for maintaining the shape of the seal holder (14 or 621 or 721)
    - in which the means for maintaining are formed by the body or the clamp itself,
    charaterized in that the maintaining means are formed as follows:
    - said seal holder (14) comprises two side arms (16,17) forming guide parts which extends in grooves (24) in said body(1) or
    - said seal holder (14) comprises in cross section two balls (622) which are engaged in complementary retaining cavities in the clamp (605), or
    - in the clamp (705) are provided two groves (722) parallel to the axis of the device with two ribs (723) projecting into them of the seal holder (721).
  2. Device according to Claim 1 characterized in that the maintaining means comprise a part of the body that forms a spacer for the seal holder (21).
  3. Device according to Claim 1, charaterized in that the maintaining means comprise a recess which is formed in the clamp and is complementary with a projection of the seal holder.
  4. Device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the seal holder (21) is mounted removably in the body and comprises, complementary with indexing parts formed in the body (1), guide parts so shaped as to allow the seal holder (21) to be slid parrallel to the axis of the body excactly into the same position in the body (1) after having been removed from it.
  5. Device according to Claim 4, characterized in that the guide parts are so shaped as to allox the seal holder to slide in a direction parallel to the axis but with the possibility of movement in the two directions perpendicular to the perforated plate (23).
  6. Device according to Claim 4 or 5, characterized in that tht guide parts are ribs (120) which engage with grooves in the body acting as the indexing parts, and are formed along only a length corresponding approximately to that of the grooves.
  7. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in taht the seal holder is U shaped, the web of the U carrying the seals, and the two arms of the U pointing towards the inner chamber (7) fitting into respective grooves in the body designed to carry the seal holder.
  8. Device according to one of the preceding clais, characterized in taht the perforated plat (23) can be removed independently of the seal holder (21).
  9. Method of replacing the seal of a device according to the preceding claims, characterized in that in succession, without unscrewing the clamp from the body, the seal holder is withdrawn from the device, the worn seal is removed from the seal holder, a new seal is placed in the seal holder, and the seal holder is put back into the body exactly in position using the maintaining parts for guidance.
  10. Method according to Claim 9, characterized in that use is made of the guide parts which are formed on only one of the end parts of the seal holder and which fit into grooves in the body, having a length approximately equal to that of the grooves and the seal holder is put back by inserting it via this end part.
