Abstract

Bei einem Verfahren zum Herstellen eines Gussstücks, insbesondere eines Maschinenelements wie eines Zylinderblocks, aus graphithaltigem Gusseisen, werden erfindungsgemäß für unterschiedliche Beanspruchungszonen (4, 3) des Gussstücks unterschiedliche Graphitstrukturen enthaltende Gusseisenchargen und/oder Legierungen nacheinander in eine Form (2) gegossen, wodurch sich die Möglichkeit ergibt, die örtlichen Materialeigenschaften an den Beanspruchungsfall besser anzupassen als bei einer Herstellung aus einer einzigen homogenen Schmelze. Es wird auch eine zum Durchführen des Verfahrens besonders geeignete Vorrichtung beschrieben.
