Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a floor cleaning device having a hood-shaped, on its underside open, laterally closed at its top and a housing in this rotatable about a vertical axis spray arm having at least one open towards the bottom of the housing towards outlet for a cleaning medium, wherein in the top of the housing at least one aperture is arranged, is sucked through the air from the environment into the interior of the housing and which is completely or partially closed.
In DE 25 48 432 C2 a floor cleaning device is described in which through openings in the top of the housing through ambient air can enter the interior of the housing. The ambient air is sucked in by the rotational movement of the spray arm and ejected from it again through the open bottom of the housing. As a result, forms below the housing, an air cushion, which raises the housing and keeps at a distance to the surface to be cleaned.
This air cushion effect is permanently provided in the known floor cleaning device, as always ambient air is sucked through the openings in the housing when the spray arm rotates.
In another known floor cleaning device (US Pat. No. 5,970,574), which is of similar construction, the openings are made lockable. When open, however, there is a danger that emerge from the interior of the housing splashes of cleaning fluid to the outside.
In contrast, the present invention seeks to improve a generic floor cleaning device so that no spills of the cleaning fluid escape from the interior of the housing to the outside, while on the other hand ambient air can freely enter the interior.
This object is achieved in a floor cleaning device of the type described above according to the invention in that the opening or the openings is formed labyrinth or are.
Due to the fact that the path of the sucked ambient air changes several times in its direction, it is achieved that no splashes of the cleaning liquid escape from the interior of the housing to the outside, while on the other hand ambient air can enter unhindered via this angled flow path into the interior.
In a preferred embodiment, it is provided that for closing the openings a closure body is mounted on the housing, which along the top of the cross section of the openings more or less overlapping between an opening releasing openings and a closing position closing this is displaceable.
In particular, the closure body may be arranged on the inside of the upper side.
It can be provided that the closure body has at least one opening which, in the open position of the closure body, covers at least one opening of the housing and is displaced laterally relative to the latter in the closed position.
Preferably, a plurality of openings are arranged on the upper side of the housing. These can be arranged in groups, between which break-through areas remain.
It is advantageous if the apertures are distributed around the axis of rotation of the spray arm in the upper side of the housing, so that this is sucked evenly distributed over the circumference when sucking in ambient air.
Particularly advantageous is an embodiment in which it is provided that the closure body rotatably rests against the top, in particular, the axis of rotation of the closure body coincide with the axis of rotation of the spray arm.
It may be provided that the closure body extends substantially over the entire top of the housing.
Vorzugsweise ist der Verschlußkörper plattenförmig ausgebildet.Preferably, the closure body is plate-shaped.
It is advantageous if the closure body is displaceable between its open position and its closed position by a handling element arranged on the outside of the housing.
In a particularly preferred embodiment it is provided that the upper side is ribbed so that alternately outwardly and inwardly open grooves adjacent to each other, and that an opening in the partition between adjacent grooves is provided to form an opening at the top. This results in a flow path which passes through the adjacent grooves and the opening connecting them. These openings are located only in certain areas of the grooves in these partitions, so that there are areas with openings and areas without openings in the top. The areas with openings can be covered by the closure body more or less and thereby closed.
It is advantageous if the spray arm has at least one wing-shaped section which, in the manner of a propeller or fan, sucks in an airflow from the environment through the openings at the top and releases it again through the open underside of the housing.
The spray arm may in particular have two wing-shaped sections which are diametrically opposed on both sides of the axis of rotation.

The floor cleaning device 1 shown in the drawing comprises a hood-shaped or bell-shaped, circular in
In the top 5 a
The
The supply of the cleaning liquid via a radially into the bearing bore 7 opening
The
In the
The
This air flow can be controlled by the
