Description
Die Erfindung betrifft eine Interdentalbürste, bei welcher Filamente (bzw. Borsten) zwischen zwei miteinander verdrillten Drahtabschnitten gehalten sind, welche aus einem austenitischen Stahl bestehen. Weiter betrifft die Erfindung ein Verfahren zum Herstellen solcher Bürsten.The invention relates to an interdental brush, in which filaments (or bristles) are held between two twisted wire sections, which consist of an austenitic steel. Das Reinigen der Zahnzwischenräume mit Hilfe von Interdentalbürsten gehört seit langem unverzichtbar zu einer umfassenden Zahnpflege. Diese Interdentalbürsten bestehen im Wesentlichen aus zwei verdrillten dünnen Drahtstücken, zwischen denen die Borsten oder synthetischen Filamente festgeklemmt sind. Während früher die Drahtenden der kleinen Bürsten vom Benutzer in einen Griff eingesetzt werden mussten (vgl. US 4,222,143, Tarrson), haben moderne Interdentalbürsten einen Kunststoffteil, welcher sich im Griff bequem einsetzen lässt (vgl. z.B. EP 0 001 044 A1, Georg; EP 0 203 082 B1, Curaden AG). Je nach Breite der Zahnzwischenräume werden grosse oder kleine Bürsten benötigt. Es gibt deshalb eine Reihe von Bürsten mit unterschiedlichen Draht- und Borstendurchmessern. Es sind auch schon Systeme bekannt, welche dem Patienten eine einfache und schnelle Bestimmung der richtigen Interdentalbürste ermöglichen (vgl. z. B. EP 0 892 625 B1, Curaden AG). Die Verwendung spezieller Stähle wie z.B. austenitischer Stähle hoher Festigkeit ermöglicht hierbei eine dünnere Ausführung des Drahtes. In der EP 0 800 781 A2 (Sunstar Inc.) wird z.B. ein Draht beschrieben, welcher sich aus 17-19 Gew.% Mangan, > 0.65 Gew.% Stickstoff, 17-19 Gew.% Chrom, 1.5-2.5 Gew.% Molybdän, < 1 Gew.% Nickel, < 0.08 Gew.% Kohlenstoff, < 1 Gew.%Silizium, < 0.045 Gew.% Phosphor und < 0.03 Gew.% Schwefel zusammensetzt.The cleaning of the interdental spaces with the help of interdental brushes has long been indispensable to a comprehensive dental care. Fig. 1 zeigt, wie die Drahtabschnitte 1a, 1b miteinander verdrillt sind. Die Filamente sind in Fig. 1 nicht eingezeichnet. Sie werden zwischen den beiden Drahtabschnitten 1a, 1b festgeklemmt. Es ist erkennbar, dass die Drahtabschnitte 1a, 1b relativ stark gebogen werden. Claims (19)
- Interdental brush, in which filaments are retained between two wire sections (1a, 1b) of a diameter (D) of 0.3 mm or less which are twisted with one another, the wire sections (1a, 1b) consisting of an austenitic steel, characterised in that the steel has a nickel content of < 0.05% by weight.
- Interdental brush according to claim 1, characterized in that the wire sections (1a, 1b) have a diameter (D) of more than 0.15 mm.
- Interdental brush according to one of claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the wire sections (1a, 1b) have a tensile strength of 1000 N/mm2 or more.
