Claims (10)

  1. Method for operating a command transmitter (1) intended for the remote control of electric appliances (12) bringing about comfort and/or security in a building, the command transmitter including a control interface (3), an information interface (5), means for the transmission of signals (8), means for the reception of signals (9), and a means for blocking the control interface, characterised in that the method comprises at least
    a) a first mode in which an action on one or more keys (4a - 4d) of the control interface causes the transmission of a control signal associated to this action, and
    b) a second mode in which an action on this key or these keys (4a - 4d) of the control interface causes the display on the information interface of an information related to the controlled appliance or appliances and does not cause the transmission of a control signal associated in the first mode to this action, the blocking means causing at least the passage of the first mode to the second mode.
  2. Operating method according to claim 1, characterised in that the display of an information relating to the appliance or appliances (12) is available also, at least in part, in the first mode.
  3. Operating method according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that an action on said key or keys (4a - 4d) in the first mode provokes the following steps:
    - generation and transmission of a control message by the command transmitter (1),
    - after reception of the message by a command receiver (13) connected to an appliance (12), then generation and transmission of a confirmation by the command receiver (13), reception of this confirmation by the command transmitter (1),
    - display of this confirmation on the information interface (5).
  4. Operating method according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that an action on said key or keys (4a - 4d) in the second mode provokes the following steps:
    - generation and transmission of an interrogating message by the command transmitter (1),
    - after reception of this interrogating message by the command receiver (13) connected to an appliance (12), then generation and transmission of a reply by the command receiver (13), reception of this reply by the command transmitter (1),
    - display of this reply on the information interface (5).
  5. Operating method according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the information relates to the state of the controlled appliance or appliances (12).
  6. Operating method according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the blocking means comprises a particular sequence of actions on the control interface (3)
  7. Operating method according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the blocking means comprises a time delay.
  8. Operating method according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the switching from the second mode to the first mode is ascertained by a particular sequence of actions on the command interface (3).
  9. Command transmitter (1), including a processing unit (6), a memory (7), means for signal transmission (8), means for signal reception (9), a control interface (3), and an information interface (5) for the user, characterised in that it comprises a means for blocking the control interface allowing the implementation of the method according to one of the preceding claims.
  10. Command transmitter (1) according to claim 9, characterised in that the blocking means is a mechanical and/or an electronic one.
