Claims (10)

  1. Apparatus for changing bobbins, comprising, in essence, a mount (11) for a first bobbin (12), a mount (15) for a second bobbin (16), a device (21) for joining a web of material (14) discharging from the first bobbin (12) to a web of material (18) infed from the second bobbin (16), as well as means for receiving and removing strips of both webs of material (14, 18) that are unsuitable for processing, the means comprising two winding mechanisms (34, 37) for receiving and removing strips of material (52, 53) that are unsuitable for processing, characterized in that the winding mechanism (37) for receiving and removing a leader of the new, full bobbin (16) is disposed, in the direction of transport (33) of the webs of material (14, 18), after the device (21) for joining, and the other winding mechanism (34) for receiving and removing a residual material from the old, almost completely discharged bobbin (12) is disposed, in the direction of transport (33) of the webs of material (14, 18), before the device (21) for joining.
  2. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that at least one winding mechanism (34, 37) is additionally realized as cutting means.
  3. Apparatus according to either of claims 1 or 2, characterized in that each winding mechanism (34 and 37) is located in the region of the respective web of material (14 and 18) and of the strips of material (52, 53).
  4. Apparatus according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that a means for fixing the web of material (14) in position is disposed between the device (21) and the bobbin (12).
  5. Apparatus according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that each winding mechanism (34, 37) has a rotatably drivable reel (35, 38) or suchlike.
  6. Apparatus according to claim 5, characterized in that the reels (35, 38) are designed to receive a web of material (14, 18) or a strip of material (52, 53).
  7. Apparatus according to either of claims 5 or 6, characterized in that the reels (35, 38) have a slot (41).
  8. Apparatus according to any one of claims 5 to 7, characterized in that the reels (35, 38) have ejector discs (44) which are movable in the axial direction of the reels (35, 38).
  9. Apparatus according to any one of claims 5 to 8, characterized in that the reels (35, 38) are themselves movable in the axial direction.
  10. Apparatus according to any one of claims 1 to 9, characterized in that a storage means is disposed, after the device (21), in the region of the web of material arriving for processing.
