Zum Festlegen der Wechselvorrichtung in den jeweiligen Arbeitspositionen ist eine Arretierscheibe vorgesehen, bei der in radialer Richtung ein Schieber eingreift, dessen Anschlagsfläche durch die Drehachse der Arretierscheibe verläuft. Beim Werkzeugwechsel wird zu Freigabe der Schieber in radialer Richtung zurückgezogen und damit die Arretierscheibe selbst freigesetzt. Beim Schwenkbiegen mit einer solchen Maschine erfolgt das Biegen des Werkstücks um den Mittelpunkt des Radius des Oberwerkzeugs. Die Bearbeitung erfolgt dadurch, daß das Werkstück, z.B. ein Blech, mit Hilfe eines Oberwerkzeus oder Niederhalters gegen die Unterplatte gepreßt und der überstehende Teil durch eine von unten nach oben erfolgende Bewegung entsprechend umgebogen wird. Die DE 39 14 762 A1 schlägt weiterhin vor, im Unterschied zu unmittelbar an der Biegewange angreifenden Antrieben an dem zwischen Tisch und Biegewange angebrachten Raumgelenk einen über einen Exzenter verschiebbaren Arm derart anzubringen, daß dessen Ende an einem Hebel angreift, der seinerseits mit seinem anderen Ende am Tisch schwenkbar befestigt ist. Durch die V-förmige Anordnung der segmentierten Niederhalterwerkzeuge ist es ebenso möglich, daß entlang einer Symmetrieachse jeweils ein aus gegenüberliegenden Niederhalterstreifen bestehendes Niederhalterpaar mit jeweils gleichen Abmessungen in Längsrichtung des Tisches vorgesehen ist.

Claims (22)

  1. A bending machine, in particular for sheet metal profile materials having a bending table as well as a clamping device comprising a hold-down device which realizes a movement relative the bending table (3) and the workpiece (1) accommodated there, as well as a bending cheek (5) which effects the movement of a bending punch (18) or bending pliers necessary to deform the workpiece (1), wherein the hold-down device is further arranged above the bending table (3) and the bending cheek (5) with a drive unit (4) is arranged substantially beneath the bending table (3),
    characterized in that
    a plurality of spaced circular rings (7) are arranged on a rotatable and lockable roller (6) disposed above the bending table (3), essentially extending across the width of its outer periphery, wherein said circular rings (7) exhibit radial to tangential extending recesses (8) or slots, and supports (9) further fixed in the area of the recesses (8) or slots in the longitudinal direction of the roller, wherein said supports (9) each receive a hold-down strip (2) and the dimensions of at least one section of a hold-down strip (2) differ in the longitudinal direction of the roller in order to be able to process sheet metal material of different widths without needing to exchange the hold-down device just by rotating the roller (6) with the hold-down strips (2).
  2. The bending machine according to claim 1,
    characterized in that
    the roller (6) is movably supported in a guide frame (10) and interchangeable.
  3. The bending machine according to claim 1 or 2,
    characterized in that
    an adapter (11) is inset in the area of the bending table (3) between the seat of the hold-down device and the active area of the bending punch (18) or bending pliers.
  4. The bending machine according to any one of the preceding claims,
    characterized in that
    the bending cheek (5) or part of same realizes a pivoting motion as well as a linear motion toward the workpiece (1).
  5. The bending machine according to any one of the preceding claims,
    characterized in that
    the hold-down strips (2) exhibit an inclined surface (12) at their free ends which is oriented substantially parallel to the surface of the bending table (3) or the workpiece (1) in the working state.
  6. The bending machine according to claim 5,
    characterized in that
    a continuous notch, groove or recess (13) is configured essentially opposite the
    inclined surface (12) at the free ends of the hold-down strips (2).
  7. The bending machine according to any one of the preceding claims,
    characterized in that
    a pair of hold-down devices (15) both having the same dimensions in the longitudinal direction and comprised respectively of opposing hold-down strips (2) is disposed along an axis of symmetry (14) extending through the center, the longitudinal axis respectively, of the roller (6).
  8. The bending machine according to claim 7,
    characterized in that
    the bending cheek (5) with bending punch (12) or bending pliers realizes a deforming motion in two opposite directions and in a first bending motion, the first hold-down strip (2), and in the second bending motion, the second hold-down strip (2) of the pair of hold-down device strips (15) is moved up against the workpiece (1) as well as held at different positions for deforming different edges of the workpiece (1) on the bending table (3).
  9. The bending machine according to claim 7 or 8,
    characterized in that
    the head region of the bending punch (18) or bending pliers exhibits a symmetrical design.
  10. The bending machine according to claim 9,
    characterized in that
    two converging inclined surfaces are configured in the head region of the bending punch (18) or bending pliers.
  11. The bending machine according to any one of claims 7 to 10,
    characterized in that
    the bending punch (18) is mounted in a longitudinal groove of the bending cheek (5) to be displaceable in the direction of the bending table (3).
  12. The bending machine according to claim 11,
    characterized in that
    at least one gear rack (19) is arranged at the base of the bending punch (13) which engages with a drive pinion for the displacing movement.
  13. The bending machine according to any one of the preceding claims,
    characterized in that
    the pivot drive for the bending cheek (5) essentially engages mid-cheek.
  14. The bending machine according to any one of the preceding claims,
    characterized in that
    the dimensions of the hold-down strips (2) correspond to conventional standard widths for sheet metal or sheet metal profiles.
  15. The bending machine according to any one of the preceding claims,
    characterized in that
    the drive units comprise electromotors (20).
  16. The bending machine according to claim 11,
    characterized in that
    the bending punch (12) is exchangeable and/or various differently-formed, hardened inserts (11) can be arranged in the head region.
  17. The bending machine according to claim 11,

    the bending punch (18) is forced to realize a relative movement to workpiece (1) by means of a cam roller drive (23) upon the pivotal motion of the bending cheek (5).

A bending machine, in particular for sheet metal profile materials having a bending table (3) as well as a clamping device comprising a hold-down device which realizes a movement relative the bending table (3) and the workpiece (1) accommodated there, as well as a bending cheek (5) which effects the movement of a bending punch (18) or bending pliers necessary to deform the workpiece (1), wherein the hold-down device is further arranged above the bending table (3) and the bending cheek (5) with a drive unit (4) is arranged substantially beneath the bending table (3),
    characterized in that
    the hold-down device consists of a plurality of V-shaped hold-down dies (24) in segmented arrangement across the width of the bending table (3), wherein each segment can be released so as to be individually shifted from a locked position into a die position according to the width of the sheet metal profile to be processed,
    at least one longitudinal drive device (18) is provided at the exterior of the hold-down dies (24) respectively in order to move the respective segments, and an actuating device (26, 27) is further provided in the longitudinal drive devices (28) to release or lock the respectively- displaced segment, and
    the alternating lifting or lowering movement of the respectively displaced segment is effected by a common drive with coupling gear (29) and gear rack (30).
  19. The bending machine according to claim 18,
    characterized in that
    the width of the segments are essentially in the range of between 20 mm to 30 mm, preferably at 25 mm.
  20. The bending machine according to claim 18 or 19,
    characterized in that
    the actuating device (26, 27) comprises a pneumatic or hydraulic cylinder.
  21. The bending machine according to any one of claims 18 to 20,
    characterized in that
    hold-down strips (2) are disposed on the segments.
  22. The bending machine according to claim 21,
    characterized in that
    the hold-down strips (2) exhibit an inclined surface at their free ends which is oriented substantially parallel to the surface of the bending table (3) or the workpiece (1) in the working state, wherein a continuous notch, groove or recess (13) is configured essentially opposite the inclined surface at the free ends of the hold-down strips (2).
