Description

The invention relates to a waterproof footwear with an outer shaft, an inner shaft containing a waterproof, water vapor permeable functional layer, an insole and an outsole.

Such footwear is for example off US 4 599 810 known. In this known footwear of the inner shaft is formed in the form of a sock. In this way, the foot of the wearer is encompassed on all sides by the waterproof, water vapor permeable inner shaft, so that water entering the footwear has no opportunity to penetrate to the foot of the wearer. Although in the meantime diverse constructions of footwear have become known, which form the inner shaft open down to save functional layer material, this applies US 4 599 810 known footwear still as the embodiment which avoids the most penetrating water.

The introduction of the sock-shaped inner shaft in the interior of the footwear is hardly possible without wrinkles. Also, it can lead to further wrinkling when wearing the footwear, which is regularly perceived by the wearer of the footwear as unpleasant.

Object of the present invention is to provide a footwear of the type mentioned, in which the risk of wrinkling of the inner shaft is at least significantly reduced.

This object is achieved in that the insole has a longitudinally extending slot-shaped opening, that the inner shaft has a directed to the sole, correlating with the length of the slot-shaped opening of the insole extension, and that the extension of the inner shaft through the slit-shaped opening of the insole pulled through and placed on the sole side of the insole.

In the manufacture of the footwear according to the invention, the extension of the inner shaft is pulled through the slot-shaped opening of the insole. After the strip has been inserted into the inner shaft, the inner shaft in the interior of the footwear can be tightened by pulling on the extension of the inner shaft, which removes any wrinkles in the inner space. Subsequently, the extension of the inner shaft is fixed. This can for example be accomplished by the extension is glued to the insole. But it is also possible to perform the fixation of the extension by sticking a prefabricated outsole or by spraying an outsole.

Preferably, the footwear according to the invention is characterized in that the pulled-extended extension of the inner shaft is open to the sole and two to the longitudinal extension of the slot-shaped opening of the insole comprises at least approximately symmetrical areas, each enclose an edge of the slot-shaped opening of the insole and the sole side on the Lie up insole. The fact that the extension of the inner shaft is designed to be open at the bottom, the streamlining of the inner shaft can be accomplished cheaper in the manufacture of the shoe, since the two areas can be taken individually and pulled.

It has been found in the waterproof footwear according to the invention as an advantage when the two ends of the slot-shaped opening of the insole opposite the slot width are formed extended. These extensions at the two ends of the slot-shaped opening in the insole serve in the manufacture of footwear as a working aid to make the sealing of the inner shaft cheaper. Thus, it has proven particularly useful for the simplification of the seal when the extension of the inner shaft is folded in the extensions of the slot-shaped openings of the insole.

The sealing of the inner shaft is done regularly either on the customary for the shoe industry adhesive, such as polyurethane adhesive, or by the sole material itself, if the footwear is to be equipped with a molded outsole, molded on the prefabricated footwear as a liquid polymer, molded to the outsole and is cured afterwards. When molded soles, it is often not necessary to fix the extension of the inner shaft, since when spraying the still liquid outsole material this laps the extension of the inner shaft and waterproof embedded in the sole material. If the extension of the inner shaft is designed to be open at the bottom, the opening formed in the slot area of the insole after the areas of the inner shaft have been laid down on the insole is filled to the inside of the footwear by the still fluid outsole material and sealed in a watertight manner. In this case, no great requirement is placed on the waterproofness of the insole, since the outsole material also penetrates to the insole during injection molding and glued to this waterproof.

In particular, for shoes in which a prefabricated outsole is attached, it is recommended that the insole is formed waterproof side sohlenseitig. It is also advantageous if the areas of the extension of the inner shaft are glued waterproof sohlenseitig with the insole.

If the extension of the inner shaft is designed to be open at the bottom, special care should be taken to ensure that the opening to the shoe interior which is still present in the slot area of the insole of the two areas of the inner shaft extension is well sealed. This can be done in the simplest case by the adhesive used for the gluing of the outsole. In the case of outsoles that are not waterproof per se, such as leather soles, it is recommended that this opening to the interior of the footwear with a sealing layer, which can be either applied as a coating or molded or glued as a prefabricated sealing layer to provide before the Outsole is glued on.

It is not always possible to ensure that the flat connection between the insole and outsole is completely successful, so that water can then penetrate between the insole and the outsole and can penetrate until the inner shaft lengthens. Since the lining of the inner shaft is often formed of absorbent textile material, in this case, the water would penetrate into the interior of the footwear. In order to avoid this effectively, the waterproof footwear according to the invention is also distinguished by the fact that the ends of the regions of the extension of the inner shaft are turned over and glued to themselves. In this way, penetrating water can no longer penetrate to the lining of the inner shaft.

The formation of a sock-shaped inner shaft, as he, for example, in the in US 4 599 810 described embodiments is usually carried out such that the inner shaft is composed of several sections. The sections are connected to each other and taped with an adhesive tape to waterproof form the abutting sections in shock. This type of production of the inner shaft 2, which has at least one waterproof, water vapor permeable functional layer and an inner lining layer, is also in the embodiments shown in the figures, with the exception of the area in which the inner shaft is pulled through the slot-shaped opening of the insole 4 , applied. In this case, the sections connected to one another via a seam 5a are sealed watertight via an adhesive tape 3 at their connection point (seam 5a).

The insole 4 has a longitudinally extending slot-shaped opening which is bounded in the figures by the edges 4a and 4b. This slot-shaped opening of the insole 4 has at its two ends in each case an extension 4c and 4d. In these extensions 4c and 4d respectively the end 3a, 3b of the adhesive tape 3 is visible. An extension 8 of the inner shaft 2 is pulled through the slot-shaped opening of the insole 4 through and stored on the insole 4 sole side. In the embodiments shown in the figures this extension is open at the bottom and each encloses an edge 4a or 4b of the slot-shaped opening of the insole 4.

According to the FIGS. 1 . 3 and 5 has the extension 8 of the inner shaft 2 ends 7, which are folded and glued to themselves. In the region of the extensions 4c and 4d of the slot-shaped opening of the insole 4, the extension of the inner shaft is folded diagonally (folds 6), whereby a seal in the area of the extension 4c or 4d is facilitated by means of adhesive or by means of the plastic liquid during injection molding of the outsole. To the insole 4, an outer shaft 1 is sewn over the seam 5. This seam 5 is usually applied before the inner shaft 2 is inserted into the outer shaft 1 in order to avoid a violation of the functional layer of the inner shaft.

In FIG. 2 the section AA is shown, wherein additionally a molded outsole 11 is attached. In this area, the insole 4 has no slot-shaped opening. The inner shaft is connected in the insole area with itself on the seam 5a and sealed to the insole over the tape 3.

According to FIG. 3 , the section BB of the footwear according to the invention according to FIG. 1 1, the extension of the inner shaft open toward the sole surrounds the edges 4a and 4b of the slot-shaped opening of the insole 4. The ends 2a and 2b of the extension of the inner shaft are glued to themselves. The sole material is injection-molded in such a way that it has a watertight connection to the insole 4, the ends 2a and 2b of the extension of the inner shaft and the extension to the inside of the footwear.

In FIG. 4 Again, the section BB is shown with the ends 2c and 2d are not connected to itself. In this embodiment, it is not necessary to glue the ends 2c and 2d to the insole 4. When spraying of the sole material flows around the ends 2c and 2d, so that no more water can penetrate to the lining of the inner shaft 2.

In FIG. 5 is a further embodiment of the footwear according to the invention according to FIG. 1 (Section BB) shown with a glued outsole 12. In order to achieve a seal in the sole region, the opening of the extension of the inner shaft to the shoe interior can be covered by a waterproof layer 9, which is waterproof connected to the extension of the inner shaft. Furthermore, the insole region between the outer shaft and the extension of the inner shaft may be watertightly connected to a watertight Ausballschicht 10. This Ausballschicht can be generated for example by spraying a still liquid plastic material. The waterproof layer 9 and the Ausballschicht 10 can be achieved in the simplest case, that on the insole facing surface of the outsole 12 a rich layer of adhesive is applied before the outsole 12 is connected to the rest of footwear.

Claims (7)

  1. Waterproof shoe structure with an exterior upper (1), an interior upper (2) comprising a waterproof, water vapour permeable functional layer, an insole (4) and an outsole (11, 12), characterised in that the insole (4) has a slit-shaped opening running in longitudinal direction, that the interior upper (2) has an extension oriented towards the sole correlating with the length of the slit-shaped opening in the insole (4), and that the extension of the interior upper is drawn through the slit-shaped opening of the insole (4) and is deposited on the insole (4) on the sole side.
  2. Waterproof shoe structure according to Claim 1, characterised in that the drawn-through extension of the interior upper (2) is open towards the outsole (11, 12) and comprises two areas (2a, 2b or 2c, 2d) that are at least roughly symmetrical to the longitudinal extension of the slit-shaped opening in the insole, each of which surrounds one edge (4a, 4b) of the slit-shaped opening in the insole (4) and rests on the insole (4) on the sole side.
  3. Waterproof shoe structure according to Claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the two ends (4c, 4d) of the slit-shaped opening in the insole (4) are wider than the slit width.
  4. Waterproof shoe structure according to Claim 3, characterised in that the extension of the interior upper (2) is folded in the wider sections (4c, 4d) of the slit-shaped openings in the insole (4).
  5. Waterproof shoe structure according to Claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the insole (4) is waterproof on the sole side.
  6. Waterproof shoe structure according to Claims 2 to 5, characterised in that the sections of the extension of the interior upper (2) are glued water-tight to the insole (4) on the sole side.
  7. Waterproof shoe structure according to Claims 2 to 6, characterised in that the ends (2a, 2b) of the sections of the extension of the interior upper (2) are folded over and glued to themselves.
