Abstract

Erfindungsgemäß wird ein Abwürgen der Brennkraftmaschine mittels einer elektronischen Auswerteeinheit erkannt, wenn sich die Drehzahl der Brennkraftmaschine innerhalb eines unmittelbar vor dem Zeitpunkt der Erkennung eines Stillstandes der Brennkraftmaschine liegenden vorgegebenen Zeitfensters zumindest teilweise innerhalb eines definierten Drehzahlbandes befunden hat. Dazu wird während des Betriebs der Brennkraftmaschine mittels der Auswerteeinheit die Drehzahl kontinuierlich erfasst sowie der Verlauf der Drehzahl zumindest für ein vorgegebenes mitlaufendes Zeitfenster gespeichert.
