Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for filling a minimum amount of liquid or pourable medium in a container, the amount of filled medium is detected and the filling by closing a Valve is stopped as soon as the amount of medium filled has a final value has reached.
In the production and distribution of liquid or pourable media, like drinks, filling this media into containers like bottles, of great economic importance. The medium is typically used for filling namely using a large filling device, such as a carousel bottle filler, the z. B. 150 filling stations and thus 150 bottles can fill at the same time. Such a carousel bottle filler can run per hour up to 70,000 bottles with a volume of one liter each fill a drink. An incorrect filling means only 5 ml per Bottle that 350 1 per hour, about 850 1 per day and about 250,000 1 per month Drink is overfilled. There is a high level of accuracy when filling therefore of considerable interest for cost reasons alone.
This is the case with filling devices known from the prior art Filling media into containers typically is as follows: From one A container is filled through a valve, whereby the quantity of medium released into the container, typically that Volume or the mass of the medium, by means of a mass or volume flow measuring device is measured. If the captured in this way, amount of the medium dispensed into the container has a predetermined value, always reached the end value in the following, the valve is closed and thus the filling process ends.
However, closing the valve takes a finite amount of time, so that after reaching the predetermined value for in the container dispensed amount of the medium for further dispensing of the Medium comes into the container; there is a so-called wake. This After-run also stems from the fact that the valve is a mechanical one Component and a valve control device controlling the valve and have dead times. As a result, it applies that the dispensed into the container Quantity of the medium is above the final value at which the filling process is ended by closing the valve.
This problem arises with the filling processes known from the prior art often addressed by the fact that each time a container is filled the wake is measured and with the one to be filled into the container Minimum amount is compared. The difference of the measured bottled Quantity to the minimum quantity, given by the wake, is given at subsequent ones Filling additional containers step by step, so only ever a certain percentage or by moving averages the follow-up values of several successive measurements of the target quantity deducted. This actually approaches the respective container filled quantity in the course of several successive fillings the minimum quantity from above. Immediate full compensation at the second filling with the wake measured at the first filling is not possible because such a type of compensation is oscillatory unstable would.
Especially when starting up the filling device, such as during the changeover to a new medium, after cleaning or after a change of the volume of the containers to be filled are those that were initially filled Quantities very imprecise, so the tolerances for those in the containers filled quantities are often exceeded. With a large carousel bottle filler With 150 filling stations, this means that every commissioning the filler up to 1,000 incorrectly filled and therefore sometimes unsaleable Containers are achieved.
Accordingly, the object of the invention is such a method specify for filling a liquid or pourable medium into a container, where the accuracy of filling, especially during commissioning the filling device used for the filling process, improved is.
The object derived and shown above is thus according to the invention solved that the filling of the medium in a first container in several filling steps is done by filling in a first filling step Closing the valve is interrupted by the during the closing of the To determine valve follow-up of the medium, and in a subsequent one Filling step the filling continued by opening the valve the final value at the end of the subsequent filling step taking into account a in a previous filling step at Closing the valve certain overrun of the medium is set.
According to the invention, it is therefore provided that in particular during commissioning the filling device used for the filling process the medium in the first container is not in a continuous step, Filling takes place in at least two separate steps of the first container at least once by closing the Valve is interrupted so that the wake can be determined. The wake determined in this way can then already during the filling of the first container can be used to complete the end value the filling of the first container so that a filling of the container is achieved within the permissible tolerances.
In principle, it is possible to use only the method according to the invention two different filling steps for filling the container to use. According to a preferred development of the invention however, it is provided that the first filling step is followed by a plurality of subsequent ones Filling steps followed, with the respective final value for completion a subsequent filling step taking into account the in determine the respective previous filling step when closing the valve After-run of the medium is determined. By a corresponding large number of filling steps subsequent to the first filling step can have a plurality of follow-up values and in particular one such large number of follow-up values are determined that in each case sufficient influencing of the final value at the end of the last filling step for filling the container can be achieved by filling to achieve within the specified tolerances.
According to a preferred development of the invention, that the final value at the end of the last filling step for filling of the container taking into account the minimum amount of the medium and in the previous filling step when closing the valve certain overrun of the medium is determined. On the other hand, according to a preferred development of the invention can also be provided that the Final value at the end of the last filling step for filling the container taking into account the minimum amount of the medium and one Most, preferably all, of those in the previous filling steps certain after-runs of the medium are set when the valve is closed becomes. It can be provided in particular that the in the previous Filling steps when closing the valve certain wake of the Medium for determining the final value at the end of the last filling step be subjected to averaging.
Furthermore, according to a preferred development of the invention, that after filling the first container, filling another Container in a single filling step, the final value to end the single filling step for filling the further container taking into account the minimum amount of the medium and one determined follow-up value determined when filling the first container becomes. Instead of, as in the prior art, a sufficient number of Follow-up values only after the successive filling of several To achieve containers can namely a sufficient number of follow-up values already exist after filling the first container, so that subsequently filled further containers in a continuous filling process can be. To determine the final value, simply one such follow-up value used when filling the first container has been determined.
According to a preferred development of the invention, it can be provided in the previously described procedure that the run-on values determined when the first container is filled are subjected to averaging in order to determine the end value for ending the single filling step for filling the further container. In addition, according to a preferred development of the invention, it can be provided that the filling of the first container is followed by a plurality of individual fillings of further containers, the respective end value for ending such a filling taking into account the minimum quantity of the medium and a follow-up value determined in a previous filling is set. Finally, it can in particular be provided that the final value E n is determined as follows in the nth step: where N is the wake and x is the number of fillings where the wake values are used to determine the final value.
As can now be seen from FIG. 3, the method shown below
in contrast to the preferred embodiment of the invention
to the conventional method for filling the container described above
2 before reaching the minimum amount of what is to be filled into the
With this knowledge of the wake of the
In this context, it should also be noted that one is fixed
predetermined number of interruptions during the first filling process
of course, the case can also occur that in the first filling process
amount of the medium 1 dispensed into the
