Abstract

Heating unit (11), especially for a cooker with a glass-ceramic hob, is divided into at least two heating regions (17, 19; 21). The first area is protected by a first excess-temperature fuse (13) and has a maximum power output, while the second region is not monitored by the excess-temperature fuse and has a maximum power output of approximately 2.5 W per cm2>.
