Definitions
- the invention relates to a safety strip according to the preamble of claim 1.
- the contact chain is formed by a plurality of contact elements, which are strung together along the safety strip by means of a guide device and are compressed by an axial bias along the safety strip, wherein the bias is generated by cuff-shaped pieces of hose, which in an alternating sequence two engage over each other adjacent contact elements and press the contact zones of these contact elements against each other.
- This safety bar can be assembled by the customer in a simple way and individually adapted to the specific customer needs, in particular with regard to the length of the safety strip by arranging a suitable number of contact elements in a row and connected to each other by means of the hose pieces.
- the contact element chain thus formed is then subsequently inserted into an elastic tube whose end-side openings are finally sealed by closure elements in order to protect the switching device from environmental influences and moisture.
- the closure elements are glued or vulcanized with the elastic tube. This has proved to be disadvantageous because subsequent changes, in particular a shortening of the safety strip, is no longer possible. Furthermore, it has proven to be problematic to provide measures that allow the aligned to the individual needs of the customer assembly of a safety bar in any length. Since the individual contact elements have a predetermined length, it has hitherto only been possible to produce safety strips with a length which corresponds to a multiple of the length of a single contact element.
- EP 1 063 380 A2 discloses a security list according to the preamble of claim 1 and is considered to be the closest prior art.
- the present invention is therefore based on the object to provide a safety strip available, which can be assembled on site in a simple way and adapted to the individual customer needs.
- the perspective view of FIG. 1 shows the switching device 1 a safety strip for placement on closing edges of movable devices.
- the switching device 1 comprises a contact element chain 2, which is formed by a plurality of contact elements 2a, 2b, ising, 2x, 2y. These contact elements are lined up along the safety bar linear.
- Each of the contact elements 2a, 2b, Vietnamese, 2x, 2y has an electrically conductive core. This electrically conductive region of each contact element is on both sides with the respective adjacent contact element 2b; 2a; ........., 2y; 2x electrically connected.
- the contact elements are arranged coaxially with one another and provide, via the electrically conductive core regions, an electrically conductive connection to the respectively adjacent contact element and thus over the entire safety strip.
- the contact elements of tube pieces 13a, 13b, ........., 13x, 13y are pressed against one another at their end faces.
- the cuff-shaped tube pieces 13a, 13b,..., 13x, 13y respectively overlap the end regions of two adjacent contact elements 2a, 2b; 2x, 2x and press the contact zones on the front side of the contact elements against each other.
- the electrical connection between adjacent contact elements is at least locally resolved.
- the resulting interruption the electrical connection along the safety bar is then registered by an evaluation unit, not shown here, to thereby register, for example, the contact of the safety bar with an obstacle.
- the switching device 1 is in an in FIG. 1 introduced for the sake of better illustration, not shown elastic hose.
- the frontal openings of this elastic tube are each sealed with closure elements 3, 5 moisture-tight.
- closure elements 3, 5 shown have a cable feedthrough for leading out a contact cable 12 from the inside of the tube.
- the cables 12 are each electrically connected on one side to the first contact element 2a and the last contact element 2y and connected to the evaluation unit on the other side.
- the end portion of the switching device 1 is in a sectional drawing in FIG. 2 shown in more detail.
- the first contact element 2a is shown.
- This has an electrically conductive metal core 16 and an insulating plastic sheath 18. That in the presentation of the FIG. 2 left end of the metal core 16 is connected to the frontal contact zone of the metal core of the adjacent contact element 2b (in FIG. 2 not shown) electrically conductively connected and to the in the representation of FIG. 2 right end of the metal core 16, the contact cable 12 is soldered.
- the elastic tube 4 is shown, in which the contact element chain 2 is inserted. The frontal opening of the tube 4 is sealed by a sealing element 5 moisture-tight.
- the closure element 5 comprises a pot-shaped closure plug 7, the wall 9 engages in the interior of the tube 4 and the bottom 14 of the pot closes the frontal opening of the tube 4.
- a cable bushing 8 is provided in the pot bottom 14 of the stopper 7, to guide the contact cable 12 from the inside of the hose to the outside.
- the closure element 5 further comprises a spacer 6, which is arranged between the closure plug 7 and the first contact element 2a.
- the spacer 6 is formed by a first cylindrical spacer sleeve 6a and a relative thereto in the longitudinal direction of the safety strip slidably disposed second cylindrical spacer sleeve 6b.
- the length of the spacer 6 is continuously adjustable between a minimum position and a maximum position by the two spacers 6a, 6b are moved against each other.
- the length of the spacer 6 can thereby be adjusted during assembly of the safety bar to adjust the overall length of the safety strip to local conditions.
- the inner spacer sleeve 6b facing the first contact element 2a is firmly connected at one end to the first contact element 2a.
- the other spacer sleeve 6a has an inner diameter which is slightly larger than the outer diameter of the inner spacer sleeve 6b, so that this spacer sleeve 6a can be pushed as an outer spacer sleeve over the inner spacer sleeve 6b.
- a bore 15 is provided in the outer spacer sleeve 6a, in which a grub screw can be screwed, whereby the relative position between the spacers 6a and 6b can be fixed.
- the wall 9 of the stopper 7 has on the outside a plurality of side by side and mutually parallel grooves. These grooves on the one hand cause the plug 7 can be easily pressed into the tube opening and on the other hand they seal the tube opening to the outside against moisture in the manner of a labyrinth seal.
- this clamping device 11 is formed by a the hose end 4a encompassing hose clamp 11. This hose clamp 11 causes the hose end 4a is pressed firmly against the wall 9 of the stopper 7.
- a rubber end cap is additionally provided, which is placed over the stopper 7 and glued or vulcanized on the outer jacket of the tube 4.
- the elastic tube 4 For attachment of the safety strip to the closing edge of a movable device, such as a roller shutter or an automatic vehicle door, the elastic tube 4 via a (in figure 2 not shown) elastic profile extension on a Aluminum profile 17 attached.
- the aluminum profile 17 is in FIG. 1 also shown. This aluminum profile 17 is to be fastened to the closing edge of the movable device.
- the spacer 6 Due to the adjustable length of the spacer 6, it is possible to produce a safety strip of any length in modular design.
- the distance between the end of the first contact element 2a and the last contact element 2y and the end of the tube 4 can be bridged by the spacer 6, wherein the distance to be bridged is continuously adaptable by the inner spacer sleeve 6b and the outer spacer sleeve 6a against each other be moved.
- the inner spacer sleeve 6b is provided with an external thread and the outer spacer sleeve 6a with a corresponding internal thread.
- the mutual position of the spacers 6a, 6b can then take place by screwing or unscrewing the inner spacer sleeve 6b from the outer spacer sleeve 6a.
- it is provided to fix the mutual position of the spacers 6a, 6b to each other by means of a lock nut.
- the position of the inner spacer sleeve 6a is interchanged with the outer spacer sleeve 6b, i. the outer spacer sleeve 6a is connected to the first contact element 2a and the inner spacer sleeve 6b engages in the interior of the cup-shaped closure plug 7.
- the lock nut for fixing the mutual position of the inner relative to the outer spacer sleeve may be formed by the stopper 7, which for this purpose has an internal thread, which corresponds to the external thread of the inner spacer sleeve 6b.
- the closure element 5 is preferably fixedly connected to the first contact element 2a.
- the closure element 5, the first contact element 2a and the contact cable 12 thus form a structural unit, which can be inserted in the assembly of the safety strip in a final step for closing the frontal opening of the tube 4 in this.
- both front ends of the tube 4 are preferably closed by closure elements 3, 5 of identical construction.
- the closure element 5, comprising the first or last contact element 2a, the spacer 6 and the stopper 7, can also be used in safety strips are used, in which the elastic bias of the contact elements is effected by a spring arranged in the end region of the hose 4.
- a safety strip in which the axial bias of the contact elements is generated by a spring, for example, in the DE 196 47 720 A1 described.
- the bias generating spring is in this case arranged between the first and last contact element 2a and the stopper 7.
- the spacer 6 according to the present invention is preferably arranged inside the spring for bridging the distance between the end of the first and last contact element 2a and the pot bottom 14 of the stopper 7 and within the coil spring. This embodiment of the present invention has the additional effect that the magnitude of the spring tension and thus the bias between the individual contact elements can be adjusted by lengthening or shortening the length of the adjustable spacer 6.
- FIGS. 3A to 3E different embodiments of the spacer 6 are shown according to the invention.
- the in the FIGS. 3A to 3E shown spacers each have an outer cylindrical spacer sleeve 6a and an insertable into this inner spacer sleeve 6b.
- the outer spacer sleeve 6a an internal thread 19 and the inner spacer sleeve 6b a corresponding thereto external thread 20.
- the length of the spacer 6 is infinitely adjustable by screwing the inner spacer sleeve 6b in the outer spacer sleeve 6a.
- the spacer sleeves 6a and 6b instead of a thread corresponding locking elements 21, 22.
- the spacers 6a and 6b are in this case by engagement of these locking elements 21, 22 slidable.
- This in FIG. 3C shown embodiment of the spacer 6 substantially corresponds to the in FIG. 2 illustrated Ausfiihrungsbeispiel, with the difference that the inner spacer sleeve 6b has a plurality of spaced apart in the longitudinal direction of the sleeve bores 23 in the cylinder jacket. In these holes a screwed through the bore 15 in the outer spacer sleeve 6 grub screw is screwed, whereby the two spacers 6a and 6b fixed together and their position are fixed to each other.
- the fixation of the two spacers 6a and 6b can also be realized by a pin 24 which is inserted through the bore 15 in the cylinder jacket of the outer spacer sleeve and through a bore 23 of the inner spacer sleeve, as in Figure 3D shown.
- a ball 25 may be used, which is also inserted through the bore 15 and into one of the holes 23, as in FIG. 3E shown.
- the spacer 6 consists of a single cylindrical sleeve 6c. This has either several, in the longitudinal direction of the sleeve successively arranged predetermined breaking points 26 ( FIG. 3F ) or consists of a plurality of nested rings 6 d, as in the embodiments of the Figures 3G and 3H (especially shown in the right-hand illustration).
- the discs 6d have for Caribbeanfiigen at their end faces each mutually corresponding plug-in elements 27.
- FIG. 3H embodiment shown differs from that in Figure 3G illustrated embodiment in that the discs 6d are slotted on the outer circumference to reduce the length of a disc 6d as needed later or supplement.
