Definitions
- Some of these movements also include a second display arranged on their second face, the hands of which advance in synchronism with the first display.
- a second display arranged on their second face, the hands of which advance in synchronism with the first display.
- Such a movement described in the patent EP 608535, or the corresponding patent US 5377171, is automatic mechanical type with two opposite displays and concentric.
- One of the displays is the main display showing, using needles, the hours, minutes and seconds of the local time zone, then that the second display, located on the side of the oscillating weight, does not gives the hours and minutes in a different time zone can be chosen at will.
- the hands of the two displays rotate each in the conventional sense opposite the respective dials, but the absence of the second hand on the second display is a disadvantage in this embodiment because it is necessary to turn the watch over to get the time to the nearest second.
- the aim of the present invention is to propose a movement for two Opposite displays with a simple and inexpensive mechanism to train in the correct direction, from a mobile display the second display second hand.
- An advantage of the invention is that it uses only one toothed wheel of return between the two seconds wheels, which simplifies the construction of the movement while decreasing the play of the second seconds hand.
- Such a movement can advantageously include a second gear train, driven by a mobile of the first train gears, comprising mobiles intended to drive in synchronization with the hands of the first display of the hands hours and minutes of the second display next to the other side of the movement.
- the movement may include, in addition, an oscillating mass pivotally mounted on the frame around the pivot axis of the seconds wheels.
- the mass is advantageously provided with an opening in its central part, the mobile carrying the hands of the second display and the wheel carrying the second seconds hand being engaged in this opening.
- the teeth of the seconds wheels are axially oriented and the teeth of the deflection wheel radially.
- the teeth of the seconds wheels are oriented radially and the teeth of the deflection wheel axially.
- Another advantage results from the possibility of rotating the wheel. return to the existing bridge of the movement necessary to support the seconds wheel shafts.
- Figures 1 and 2 show the movement according to the invention, obtained by modifying the cited movement. It is a movement automatic sprung balance equipped with a barrel 10 which constitutes the energy source. This movement includes a frame 11 on which are mounted moving parts. It is delimited by two faces substantially planes and parallels, referenced 1 and 2 respectively. first face 1 is arranged a first analog time display with 3h hour hands, 3m minutes and seconds 3s, and which constitutes the main display of the watch.
- an oscillating mass 7 pivotally mounted by means of a ball bearing 12, on a tube 13 formed on frame 11, and hour hands 5h, minutes 5m and 100 seconds of a second display.
- the oscillating mass 7 and the needles rotate around a common axis of revolution xx 'passing through the center of the movement.
- the hands of a display rotate in the opposite direction to those of the other.
- a time-setting rod 6 allows, in an axial position, to move the hour and minute hands of the two displays by synchronism, and, in another axial position, the hands of one of displays independently of those of the other display.
- This arrangement is advantageous for a watch mounted pivoting in a case around the axis 3-9 hours. If the pivoting is done around the 6-12 o'clock axis, two time-setting rods would be preferable, each rod controlling one of the displays.
- the 100 seconds hand has been added to the original movement. She is mounted on a shaft 101 which crosses the shaft 27 supporting the needle 5m minutes. At one end of the shaft 101 is fixed the needle 100, while the other end of this tree pivots in a stone, supported by an intermediate bridge 102, part of the frame 11, and in which also pivots one end of the shaft 27, integral in rotation with the second hand 3s from the first display.
- bridge 102 already existed in the movement original. It is not represented in the cited document, but it is the one which supports the pivot stone of the shaft 27. In a movement with two opposite concentric displays, such a bridge is generally necessary to support at least the shaft of the second hand of the first display.
- a toothed wheel 26 seconds, or first seconds wheel which has teeth radial 26 'coming to mesh with a pinion 30 in order to drive in rotation of the escape wheel 32.
- the wheel 26 is also used in the present invention to put the second hand 100 in motion.
- a second gear seconds 103 is fixed for this purpose on the shaft 101, opposite the bridge 102.
- the wheel 103 also has an axial toothing 105.
- the teeth 104 and 105 face each other on either side of the bridge 102.
- a deflection toothed wheel 107 which has radial toothing 108 coming from engaged with the teeth 104 and 105.
- the wheel 107 is pivotally mounted on deck 102 around an oriented axis of revolution perpendicular to the axis xx 'and intersecting this axis.
- the bridge 102 has a part removable 109 into which one end of the shaft of this wheel.
- the return wheel 107 can be made of metal or of material synthetic and have a diameter close to the thickness of the bridge 102, resulting in a slight increase in the height of the movement. As the wheel 107 is, moreover, the only mobile link between the wheels 26 and 103, the clearance of the needle 100 is reduced to its lowest value possible.
- the idler wheel 107 has a axial toothing 110, and the second seconds wheel 103 a toothing radial 111, identical in diameter and number of teeth to the toothing radial 26 'of the first seconds wheel 26.
- the idler wheel 107 is pivotally mounted in the removable part 109 of the bridge 102 of so as to engage with the teeth 111 and 26 'of the wheels 103 and 26, and in this way achieve the transmission of the rotational movement from one wheel to another in the desired direction.
- the diameter of the wheel 107 is only slightly higher than the height of the bridge 102, this solution further reduces the height of the movement.
- the movement is an analog electronic movement comprising a mobile making one revolution per minute and supporting the needle seconds from the main display
- the second hand from the other display can, of course, also be rotated, as in the embodiment described, by a single return wheel.
