Claims (12)

  1. An apparatus for winding up a web of material, with a winding body on which the start of the web of material is capable of being fastened, wherein the web of material can be wound up by driving the winding body in a rotating manner, wherein the winding body comprises two clamping elements (03; 04) which can be displaced with respect to each other, wherein a clamping gap (09), into which the start of the web of material is capable of being inserted and fastened, is formed between the two clamping elements (03; 04), wherein the apparatus (02) is displaceable between a first function setting, in which part of the web of material can be wound up onto the winding body, and at least one second function setting, in which the web of material wound up onto the winding body can be removed, characterized in that the apparatus (02) is arranged in an unwinding station for rolls of material (01), in particular rolls of paper.
  2. An apparatus according to Claim 1, characterized in that the width of the clamping gap (09) on the external periphery of the winding body is variable.
  3. An apparatus according to Claim 1, characterized in that the clamping elements (03; 04) are constructed in the manner of shells (03; 04) which are arranged substantially coaxially and on the jointly formed peripheral face of which the web of material is capable of being wound up, wherein the clamping gap (09) is formed by two mutually opposed edges (07; 08) of the shells (03; 04) and the width of the clamping gap (09) is variable as a result of the shells (03; 04) being rotated with respect to each other.
  4.   6. An apparatus according to any one of Claims 3 to 5, characterized in that at least one shell (04) is capable of being driven in a rotating manner by a drive device in order to wind up the web of material.
  7. An apparatus according to any one of Claims 3 to 6, characterized in that one shell (03) is mounted so as to be freely rotatable.
  8. An apparatus according to Claim 7, characterized in that the rotational resistance of the shell (03) mounted so as to be freely rotatable is capable of being set.
  9. An apparatus according to Claim 8, characterized in that the rotational resistance of the shell (03) mounted so as to be freely rotatable can be altered in a variable manner by the engagement of a braking device.
