Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif servant à prétraiter de l'air de combustion par exposition à un plasma non thermique, pratiquement à la pression atmosphérique, et un procédé de commande de celui-ci. Le dispositif comprend une électrode (110) intérieure présentant un passage longitudinal défini à l'intérieur de celle-ci et destiné à recevoir un combustible. Une couche diélectrique (145) extérieure est séparée par une distance prédéterminée de l'électrode (110) intérieure de sorte qu'une région de plasma non thermique à pression atmosphérique est formée entre celles-ci, cette région servant à recevoir l'air de combustion (100) à traiter. Le diélectrique (145) extérieur comporte au moins une ouverture (p. ex. capillaires ou fentes) définie à travers celui-ci, par laquelle le plasma non thermique est émis. Au moins une électrode extérieure (p. ex. en forme de tige ou d'anneau) est placée en communication fluidique avec au moins une ouverture. L'air de combustion traité et le combustible sont combinés dans une région de mélange (135). Le dispositif de prétraitement peut être installé dans un brûleur à combustion fermée ou ouverte.
