Adjusting and securing device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the locking member (15) and actuating member (16) are positively coupled with a high transmission ratio such that the actuating displacement of the actuating member is greater by a multiple than the locking displacement of the locking member.
  3. Adjusting and securing device according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the actuating member (16) and locking member (15) are positively coupled to one another via a guide-slot arrangement having a guide slot (15") arranged on the one member and a guide part (16') arranged on the other member.
  4. Adjusting and securing device according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the actuating member (16) can be latched in its end position which is associated with the locking position of the locking member (15).
  5. Adjusting and securing device according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the actuating member (16) can be latched in its end position which is associated with the unlocking position of the locking member (15).
  6. Adjusting and securing device according to one of Claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the actuating member (16) is biased by spring force (17) into its end position which is associated with the locking position of the locking member (15).
  7. Adjusting and securing device according to one of Claims 1 to 6, characterized in that a housing cover (10) is used to lock the actuating member (16) in its end position which is associated with the locking position of the locking member (15), it being possible for the housing cover to be closed only in this position of the actuating member.
  8. Adjusting and securing device according to Claim 7, characterized in that the housing cover (10), which is retained in captive fashion on the housing (8, 9), has an open position which prevents a boot from being inserted into the boot-retaining units (3, 4).
  9. Adjusting and securing device according to Claim 7 or 8, characterized in that the housing cover is designed as a swing-action cover (10).
  10. Adjusting and securing device according to one of Claims 1 to 9, characterized in that the locking and actuating members (15, 16) can be removed from the fixing arrangement (7) only by destroying the housing (8, 9) in the process.
  11. Adjusting and securing device according to one of Claims 1 to 10, characterized in that the locking member (15) and/or actuating member (16) are/is designed as slides and are/is respectively arranged in an associated sliding guide in the housing (8, 9).
