  1. Switch of the type comprising a displaceable member, which is actuatable by pressure and by rotation, of the type comprising a display, a programmable electronic assembly, and a cap capable of rotating about a plate (14), the cap having:
    . on the one hand an endless rotational path, in one direction and in the other, about a pivot (22), with a plurality of possible stopping positions in the course of a rotation, each of the positions permitting a switching means (6) for controlling the electronic assembly to be actuated,
    . on the other hand a linear path, in a direction perpendicular to the plane of rotation, with a low position for closing by pressure on the cap, and automatic recall on opening after the pressure on the cap is released, permitting a switch (5) of the electronic assembly to be actuated,

    characterised in that:
    - the display and the programmable electronic assembly are integrated in the cap, the plate (14) supporting the board (15) of a printed circuit of the electronic assembly.
  2. Switch according to claim 1, characterised in that the display is a display selected from the group (LCD display, OLED display).
  3. Switch according to one of claims 1 to 2, characterised in that the switch (5) of the electronic assembly is of the notched optoswitch type.
  4. Switch according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that:
    - the cap (1) is hollow, and its upper face (2) is at least partially transparent,
    - internally, the cap (1) comprises tubular lugs (4), which are integral with the upper face (2) and perpendicular relative thereto, and extend over at least one portion of the height of the internal cavity (20) of the cap,
    - the cap is capable of rotating endlessly in one direction and in the other about the central and vertical spindle (19) of a pivot (22), which is integral with a horizontal circular plate (14), the internal diameter of the bottom portion of the skirt (21) of the cap being greater than the diameter of the plate (14) so as to be able to rotate about said plate.
  5. Switch according to claim 4, characterised in that
    - the edge of the skirt is provided with folds or anchoring points (16), directed towards the spindle (19) and abutting below the plate (14), to prevent the cap from emerging upwardly and to carry the external edge of a sealing membrane (13), its internal edge being carried by an annular sealing joint (9) surrounding the pivot (22), and the membrane (13) totally blocking the opening of the cap (1) and rotating therewith.
  6. Switch according to claim 5, characterised in that lugs (23), which are cut-out in the plate (14) and folded at 90°, support the board (15) of a printed circuit, which comprises all of the electronic components necessary for the programming.
  7. Switch according to one of claims 5 to 6, characterised in that a display (3) is fixed on the upper face of the board (15).
  8. Switch according to claim 7, characterised in that the display (3) is covered by an opaque film (18) comprising a read-off window (18a) disposed under the transparent portion of the upper face (2) of the cap.
  9. Switch according to one of claims 5 to 8, characterised in that the board (15) further includes, on the periphery of its upper face, at least one switching means (6), and two notched optoswitches (5).
  10. Switch according to one of claims 5 to 9, characterised in that one or more lighting means (7) are provided on the board (15) and below the display (3).
  11. Switch according to one of claims 1 to 10, characterised in that an output cable (24) is connected to a standard connection (10) to connect the switch to a machine.
  12. Switch according to one of claims 1 to 11, characterised in that a threaded portion (11), provided on the pivot (22), permits the switch according to the invention to be secured on a support (17) by means of a securing nut (12).
  13. Method of using a switch according to one of claims 1 to 12, characterised in that it consists of programming the electronic assembly in the following manner:
    - step (A): start (or lighting-up)
    - step (B): successive and looped display of all of the programmed functions, the first function (F1) following the last function (Fn) (connection 101), each function (F1), (F2)..., (Fn) being able to be validated by an output (102), then selection of one of these by stopping at a position,
    - step (C): validation of the selection of one of the functions (F1) by pressure on the cap. Each function may include a menu and, depending on the programming of the menu, at least one output information, for example a code (103), at least one series of bits (104), an aid (105) and a display of the received data (106) corresponding to a code, and an access connection (107) to an assembly of sub-functions (SF1), (SF2), (SF3), (SFn) available thanks to step (D), one or more accesses (108) to the starting step (D),
    - step (D) as an option: successive and looped display of all of the programmed sub-functions, the first sub-function (SF1) following the last sub-function (SFn) (connection 109), each sub-function being able to be validated by an output (110), then selection of one of the sub-functions (SFi). The programming of step (D) thus provides the same possibilities as the programming of step (B).
    - step (E): validation of the preceding selection of a sub-function (SFi) by pressure on the cap (1).
  14. Method of use according to claim 13, characterised in that the programme can be reconfigured by a programming apparatus or by the control centre of a communication network.
