Es ist eine kleine, preiswerte Schaltung mit einem MikroController realisiert worden, durch dessen Programmierbarkeit unterschiedliche Druck-Drehtaster angepaßt werden und diverse Umkodierungen erfolgen können. Weiterhin können viele unterschiedliche Schnittstellen bedient werden. Eine Programmversion z.B. „simuliert" einen optischen Druck-Drehtaster, d.h. durch Anschließen eines preiswerten mechanischen Druck-Drehtasters werden sowohl die Drehimpulse als auch der Drucktaster entprellt am Ausgang der Schaltung an die Steuerung weitergeführt.
