  3. Device according to Claim 2, characterised in that a heating device (19) is provided to enable viscous finish to be applied.
  4. Device according to Claim 2 or 3, characterised in that the metering system (16, 17) comprises a pump (17) which can be driven by a stepping motor (16).
  5. Device according to any one of Claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the application nozzle (15) is formed by an annular nozzle through which the thread (3) runs.
  6. Device according to Claims 3, 4 and 5, characterised in that the heating device (19) is disposed between the pump (17) and the application nozzle (15).
  7. Use of the device according to any one of Claims 1 to 6 for applying finishes on a winding machine comprising a machine terminal (6).
