Abstract

A method for installing a hoist comprising a step of erecting guide rails (5a, 5b) in an elevator shaft (1), a step of fixing guide members (74a, 74b, 75a, 75b) holding a fixing frame (73) slidably on the guide rails (5a, 5b) to the fixing frame (73), a step of lifting a hoist (6) while sliding the fixing frame (73) in the longitudinal direction of the guide rails (5a, 5b) after the fixing step, a step of securing a beam (72) and bases (71a, 71b) for supporting the vertical load on the hoist (6) and the fixing frame (73) to the guide rails (5a, 5b), and a step of installing the fixing frame (73) and the hoist (6) on the beam (72).
