Definitions
- the invention relates to fall protection for roofs that have at most a slightly inclined roof shape.
- Fall protection devices serve to prevent accidents by preventing people from falling from the roofs of appropriate structures.
- Accident prevention regulations stipulate, for example, that such fall protection should be provided for roofs from workplaces and traffic routes from a building height of 3 meters.
- the invention has for its object to provide a fall protection on roofs of the type mentioned, which can be economically simple and technically flawlessly attached to such a roof.
- the fall protection system according to the invention is characterized by a tube that can be fastened with one end to or in the supporting structure of the roof, in particular by means of a rod-shaped member such as a threaded bolt or a wood or concrete screw. At the other end of the tube, a head piece, which can be freely rotated and contains a type of eyelet, can be attached without any problems.
- a rod-shaped member such as a threaded bolt or a wood or concrete screw.
- a head piece which can be freely rotated and contains a type of eyelet, can be attached without any problems.
- Such a construction avoids the foot plates which are bulky and are hostile to assembly and are normally required in the prior art.
- the fall protection according to the invention can therefore only be installed after the insulation has been installed. A hole can easily be drilled through the insulation for the rod-shaped member to be pushed through without any problems.
- a pipe with a threaded bolt attached at one end or a screw, such as a screw, in particular, screwed into an, for example, predrilled hole of the supporting structure can then pass through the insulation passed through or screwed in and thereby anchored tensile to the supporting structure. Then the upper roof covering skin can be laid on the roof and the pipe of the fall protection, which protrudes upwards from the roof structure, can be integrated watertight.
- a steel structure with steel girders can be provided as the supporting structure, in which case the rod-shaped member is preferably present as a threaded bolt.
- the rod-shaped member In the case of a wooden structure containing wooden beams, the rod-shaped member will preferably be a wood screw. Finally, in a concrete construction, the rod-shaped member will be a concrete screw.
- the tube has an internal thread at the end, which can be produced by cutting into a standard tube.
- a standard thread with a nominal diameter of 12 mm can easily be cut into a round tube with an inner diameter of 11 mm.
- the head region of a threaded bolt or a screw, which is provided with a comparable external thread with a nominal diameter of 12 mm, can then be firmly attached to the end of the tube by screwing it into the tube.
- a drill hole can then be made through the roof structure and the threaded bolt or the wood or concrete screw with the pipe attached to the bolt or the screw through the bore hole or anchor it in the load-bearing structure.
- a comparable internal thread is also provided at the other end of the pipe that protrudes from the roof structure.
- a screw can be screwed into this internal thread such that a head piece, which has the eyelet holder for a snap hook or also directly for a safety rope, can be slid on laterally. Further details on such a freely rotatable head piece and on the other structural details and advantages of such a fall protection according to the invention can be found in the features further specified in the claims and in connection with the anchoring in a concrete slab in a subsequent exemplary embodiment.
- a fall protection device 10 has a round tube 12, which in the present example has an outer diameter 14 of 16 mm and an inner diameter 16 of 11 mm.
- the wall thickness of the tube is thus 12.5 mm in its central area.
- This round tube 12 has at its upper end 18 an internal thread 20 with a nominal diameter of 12 mm. This internal thread is cut into this upper end 18.
- This round tube 12 has a comparable internal thread 22 of likewise 12 mm at its lower end 24.
- a concrete screw 26 with its head region 28 is firmly screwed into this lower end 24.
- This head region 28 of the concrete screw 26 accordingly has an external thread 30 with a nominal diameter of 12 mm.
- At the upper end of the head region 28 it has a hexagon 32, the corner dimension 34 of which is smaller than 11 mm, so that the concrete screw 26 can be rotated relative to the round pipe 12 from above through the pipe.
- a fastening screw 40 is screwed into the upper end 18 of the round tube 12 in such a way that its washer 42 remains at a distance 44 from the upper end face 46 of the round tube. The fastening screw 40 is thus firmly screwed into the round tube 12 in the state shown in the drawing.
- a head piece 50 can be pushed onto this fastening screw 40 from the side.
- the head piece 50 is a rectangular profile with a closed left and right side wall 52, 54. Its rear and front end face 56, 58 is open.
- On its lower wall 60 is a Cut longitudinal slot 62 in the middle.
- a through-hole 66 is provided on the upper wall 64 opposite the lower wall 60. The axis 68 of this through-hole 66 is laterally offset sufficiently far from the slot base 70 of the longitudinal slot 62, so that when using the fall protection, which state is shown in FIG
- the bow portion 82 of a snap hook 80 collides when the latter is inserted through the through hole 66 and is thus fastened to the head piece 50.
- the through hole 66 is thus aligned with the longitudinal slot 62.
- a person attached to a safety cable 84 is thus secured to the snap hook 80 in a fall-proof manner, which in turn (80) hangs securely on the head piece 50.
- the head piece 50 in turn cannot lose its seat on the round tube 12 since it cannot be pushed laterally by the fastening screw 40.
- the fastening screw 40 is namely on the one hand on the slot base 70 and on the other hand with its screw head 72 or its washer 42 each laterally on the rear bracket portion 82 of the snap hook 80.
- a gap 86 present between the washer 42 and the rear bracket section 82 does not impair the safety function, since the head piece 50 can thereby only be moved back and forth by the size of the gap 86; can not lose its fastening seat on the screw.
- a person using the fall protection device 10 will therefore first push the head piece 50 laterally onto the fastening screw 40 until the head piece 50 has assumed its position shown in FIG. 1 relative to the fastening screw 40.
- the person then latches into the through-hole 66 with the snap hook 80 attached to their fastening rope 84, so that the head piece 50 does not can lose its seat on the fastening screw and thus on the round tube 12.
- the fastening rope is released in the reverse manner.
- the snap hook 80 is detached from the through-hole 66 and then the head piece 50 is laterally removed from the round tube 12, ie from the fastening screw 40.
- the head piece 50 which is attached to the upper end 18 of the round tube 12 with play, can be rotated around the axis 68 as desired, including back and forth. This allows a person "attached” to the fall arrest device to move around in a circle around the fall arrest device as often as necessary, which is usually necessary on roofs without the attached safety rope becoming “twisted”, as it would be when attaching it to an Known rigidly mounted eyelet would be the case.
- a bore of approximately 10 mm is made in the latter in the present example. This drilling can take place through an insulation 92 already laid on the concrete ceiling 90.
- the round tube 12 is then screwed through the insulation 92 with the concrete screw 26 firmly screwed into its lower end. Then the waterproofing roof membrane 94 is then laid on the insulation and connected watertight to the round tube 12 with a corresponding web area 94.2. If not already done, the fastening screw 40 can then be screwed into the round tube 12 from above, as can be seen in FIG. 1.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to fall protection for roofs that have at most a slightly inclined roof shape. Fall protection devices serve to prevent accidents by preventing people from falling from the roofs of appropriate structures. Accident prevention regulations stipulate, for example, that such fall protection should be provided for roofs from workplaces and traffic routes from a building height of 3 meters.
From DE 298 20 579 U1 a fall protection on flat roofs, platforms and the like is known. This fall protection has a rod-shaped part that has an eyelet at its upper end, into which a safety rope can be hung, for example with a snap hook. A foot plate is welded to the lower end of the rod-shaped part, which in turn is fastened to the roof ceiling by means of several screws. The assembly of such rod-shaped base parts on a roof is very complex overall, since first the rod-shaped parts with their foot plates must be anchored to the ceiling and then the roof structure that is regularly present above the ceiling with its thermal insulation and the dense outer skin around these foot plates and rod-shaped parts have to be moved around. Aside from being such Roof covering designed to be very time-consuming, there is a particularly high risk that the roof in the area of these fall protection devices will have water leaks.
Based on this prior art, the invention has for its object to provide a fall protection on roofs of the type mentioned, which can be economically simple and technically flawlessly attached to such a roof.
This fall protection according to the invention is indicated by the features of
The fall protection system according to the invention is characterized by a tube that can be fastened with one end to or in the supporting structure of the roof, in particular by means of a rod-shaped member such as a threaded bolt or a wood or concrete screw. At the other end of the tube, a head piece, which can be freely rotated and contains a type of eyelet, can be attached without any problems. Such a construction avoids the foot plates which are bulky and are hostile to assembly and are normally required in the prior art. The fall protection according to the invention can therefore only be installed after the insulation has been installed. A hole can easily be drilled through the insulation for the rod-shaped member to be pushed through without any problems. A pipe with a threaded bolt attached at one end or a screw, such as a screw, in particular, screwed into an, for example, predrilled hole of the supporting structure can then pass through the insulation passed through or screwed in and thereby anchored tensile to the supporting structure. Then the upper roof covering skin can be laid on the roof and the pipe of the fall protection, which protrudes upwards from the roof structure, can be integrated watertight.
A steel structure with steel girders can be provided as the supporting structure, in which case the rod-shaped member is preferably present as a threaded bolt. In the case of a wooden structure containing wooden beams, the rod-shaped member will preferably be a wood screw. Finally, in a concrete construction, the rod-shaped member will be a concrete screw.
In terms of production, it proves to be particularly favorable if the tube has an internal thread at the end, which can be produced by cutting into a standard tube. For example, a standard thread with a nominal diameter of 12 mm can easily be cut into a round tube with an inner diameter of 11 mm. The head region of a threaded bolt or a screw, which is provided with a comparable external thread with a nominal diameter of 12 mm, can then be firmly attached to the end of the tube by screwing it into the tube. After applying the thermal insulation and comparable roof structure layers on the concrete ceiling of a flat roof or a comparable ceiling construction, a drill hole can then be made through the roof structure and the threaded bolt or the wood or concrete screw with the pipe attached to the bolt or the screw through the bore hole or anchor it in the load-bearing structure.
A comparable internal thread is also provided at the other end of the pipe that protrudes from the roof structure.
A screw can be screwed into this internal thread such that a head piece, which has the eyelet holder for a snap hook or also directly for a safety rope, can be slid on laterally. Further details on such a freely rotatable head piece and on the other structural details and advantages of such a fall protection according to the invention can be found in the features further specified in the claims and in connection with the anchoring in a concrete slab in a subsequent exemplary embodiment.

This
A person using the
The
To mount a
