Operating cylinder, with a cylinder tube (3) extending between two cylinder covers (2a, 2b), and with several tie rods (13) distributed along the outer periphery of the cylinder tube (3) in its peripheral direction and clamped to the two cylinder covers (2a, 2b), with at least one of the tie rods formed by a profile section (26) which extends in the peripheral direction (14) of the cylinder tube (3) a short distance along its outer periphery and provides through its profiling additional function means for exercising one or more additional functions, characterised in that at least one profile section (26) has on the inner side facing the cylinder tube (3) an inner surface (28) matching the curvature of the external contour of the cylinder tube (3).
  2. Operating cylinder according to claim 1, characterised in that each tie rod (13) is formed by a profile section (26).
  3. Operating cylinder according to claim 1 or 2, characterised by two profile sections (26) arranged diametrically opposite one another.
  4. Operating cylinder according to any of claims 1 to 3, characterised by several profile sections (26), wherein adjacent profile sections (26) are spaced apart at intervals in the peripheral direction of the cylinder tube (3).
  5. Operating cylinder according to any of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the radius of curvature of the inner surface of the profile section (26) is equal to or slightly greater than the radius of curvature of the cylinder tube (3) in the area of the profile section (26).
  6. Operating cylinder according to any of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that at least one profile section (26) is arranged radially at least a short distance from the outer surface (32) of the cylinder tube (3).
  7. Operating cylinder according to any of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that at least one profile section (26) is curved like an arch, viewed in cross-section, with the concave area facing the cylinder tube (3).
  8. Operating cylinder according to any of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the length measurements of the profile section or sections (26) on the one hand and of the cylinder tube (3) on the other hand are so matched to one another that there is an axial clearance between the profile section (26) and at least one cylinder cover (2a, 2b).
  9. Operating cylinder according to any of claims 1 to 8, characterised in that at least one profile section (26) is in the form of an extruded part.
  10. Operating cylinder according to any of claims 1 to 9, characterised in that at least one profile section (26) is in the form of a moulded part.
  11. Operating cylinder according to any of claims 1 to 10, characterised in that at least one profile section (26) is made of aluminium material or of plastic material.
  12. Operating cylinder according to any of claims 1 to 11, characterised in that at least one profile section (26) has a peripheral extent such that it extends over at least 45°C and preferably over at least 90°C of the outer periphery of the cylinder tube (3).
  13. Operating cylinder according to claim 12, characterised in that the peripheral extent of the profile section (26) is in the range between 90°C and 180°C of the peripheral extent of the cylinder tube (3).
  14. Operating cylinder according to any of claims 1 to 13, characterised in that at least one profile section (26) has one or more hollow spaces (34), continuous in the longitudinal direction.
  15. Operating cylinder according to any of claims 1 to 14, characterised in that the additional function means (27) form mounting means (35), made for example in the form of one or more mounting slots and provided in particular for the mounting of sensors and/or cylinder accessories and/or the operating cylinder (1) itself.
  16. Operating cylinder according to any of claims 1 to 15, characterised in that the additional function means (27) form passages (33, 33'; 34), closed on the peripheral side, through which fluid and/or cables and/or hoses may be fed.
  17. Operating cylinder according to any of claims 1 to 16, characterised in that the cylinder tube (3) is cylindrical and preferably circular-cylindrical in shape.
  18. Operating cylinder according to any of claims 1 to 17, characterised by mounting holes (25) open towards the end faces (18a, 18b) of the profile section or sections (26) and into which locking screws (15a) acting on the assigned cylinder cover (2a, 2b) are screwed.
