Portable electric sander according to Claims 2 and 3, characterized in that the protective member (30) is an encircling angle piece (31) which is integrally formed on the outside of the sanding plate (14) and which projects axially with one leg (311) beyond the underside, accommodating the abrasive holder (23), of the sanding plate (14).
  5. Portable electric sander according to Claim 4, characterized in that the sanding plate (14) is injection-moulded from plastic and the angle piece (31) is injection-moulded along with the leg (311) during the injection moulding process.
  6. Portable electric sander according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the protective member (30) is an encircling strip (32) fastened to the sanding plate (14).
  7. Portable electric sander according to Claims 2 and 6, characterized in that the strip (32) has an axially extending, encircling web (321) projecting beyond the underside, accommodating the abrasive holder (23), of the sanding plate (14).
  8. Portable electric sander according to Claim 6 or 7, characterized in that the strip (32) is made of an elastic material.
  9. Portable electric sander according to one of Claims 6 to 8, characterized in that the strip (32) is clipped onto the outer margin (141) of the sanding plate (14).
  10. Portable electric sander according to Claim 9, characterized in that the clipped connection between strip (32) and sanding plate (14) consists of an encircling groove (34), incorporated in the outer margin (141) of the sanding plate (14), and of an encircling tongue (35) which is integrally formed on the inner side, facing the outer surface (131), of the strip (32) and plunges into the groove (34) in a frictional and positive-locking manner.
