Rollsteigen zusammengefaßt antreibbar sind. Derartige Bauteile sind das Stufen- bzw. Palettenband sowie bedarfsweise auch der Handlauf, sofern für selbigen keine eigenen Antriebsmittel gegeben sind. Das Stufen- bzw. Palettenband wird üblicherweise mittels Laschenketten bewegt, welche in den Umlenkbereichen über dort vorgesehene Kettenräder in ihrer Laufrichtung verändert werden. Eine wesentliche Forderung bei Rolltreppen und Rollsteigen ist es, daß das Stufenbzw. Palettenband möglichst ohne die unerwünschten Polygoneffekte umlenkbar ist und bei gemeinsamem Antrieb das Stufen- bzw.
