Definitions

  • the present invention relates to devices for dispensing a fluid product, in particular a cosmetic or care product.
  • US-A-4,600,127 relates to a valve for a bottle containing a drink.
  • Dispensing devices comprising a rotating part operable to close or open a communication between the inside of a container and a dispensing orifice are known in particular from US-A-648,278, US-A-3,690,521, US US-A-4,961,515, US-A-5,246,148 and US-A-5,303,850.
  • the dispensing devices described in these patents are not intended to prevent impurities such as grains of sand from entering the interior and are not totally suitable for the distribution of a cosmetic or care product that can be used on the beach, such as for example a sunscreen product.
  • FR-A-2 711 620 proposes a dispensing device also called "clean capsule", comprising a dispensing orifice provided with a valve made of elastomeric material intended to prevent impurities such as grains of sand from penetrating the water. inside.
  • cleaning capsule a dispensing device also called "clean capsule”
  • Such a dispensing device is however relatively complex and expensive to produce.
  • the invention meets this need by means of a dispensing device comprising a first part intended to be fixed on a container and a second part rotatable relative to the first part between a dispensing position in which the product contained in the container can leaving the device through a dispensing opening opening directly to the outside and a closed position in which the product passage from the container to the dispensing orifice is prevented, this device being characterized by the fact that the orifice of distribution is formed between two surfaces respectively belonging to said parts.
  • the dispensing device can be produced at a relatively low cost since the dispensing orifice can be devoid of a material valve. elastomer.
  • the invention may also make it possible to avoid a possible problem related to aging of the valve material or compatibility thereof with the dispensed product.
  • the invention can still provide a dispensing orifice having a clean appearance, whose edges are easy to clean. The fact that the first and second parts must rotate relative to each other to be brought into dispensing position reduces the risk of accidental opening in a purse, for example.
  • the aforementioned surfaces can be concentric.
  • the dispensing orifice may be at least partially defined by an annular sector-shaped space.
  • the dispensing orifice is open towards the outside in a direction parallel to the geometric axis of rotation of the second part.
  • the dispensing orifice can be made substantially at the upper end of the device when the container equipped with the device rests on a horizontal flat surface.
  • the second piece may comprise an upper wall provided with an opening whose one edge, for example of circular shape, defines one of said surfaces and the first piece may comprise an end wall engaged in the opening of the second piece and an edge, for example of circular shape, defines the other of said surfaces.
  • the aforementioned upper wall may be non-cylindrical of revolution.
  • the end wall and the top wall may advantageously have outer surfaces which are substantially in continuity with one another if the dispensing orifice is ignored. This may help to improve the aesthetics of the dispensing device and may facilitate the cleaning of the surroundings of the dispensing orifice.
  • the first and second pieces can usefully be made by molding material in plastics having different colors, which may allow the user to more easily locate the location of the dispensing orifice.
  • the dispensing orifice may be eccentric on the upper wall of the second part, for example to allow the second part to be rotated around a geometric axis of inclined rotation and / or benefit from a larger surface on which the product can accumulate before being taken by the user.
  • the upper wall of the second part In dispensing position and when the container equipped with the dispensing device rests on a horizontal flat surface, the upper wall of the second part can be inclined.
  • the product leaving the dispensing orifice may have a tendency, if it is sufficiently fluid, to flow by gravity downwards on the upper wall of the second piece. Offsetting the dispensing orifice may increase the size of the surface over which the product may flow before leaving the top wall, which may facilitate its removal.
  • the spacing between the two surfaces defining the dispensing orifice may be constant. This gap may also be non-constant, for example to ensure that the product is distributed preferentially from a region of the dispensing orifice in which the spacing is maximum, when the two parts are in the dispensing position.
  • the first part may comprise a tubular extension, closed at its upper end by the abovementioned end wall, this extension being provided with at least one lateral opening
  • the second part may comprise an inner skirt configured to, on the one hand, close off the lateral opening when the two parts are in the closed position and secondly allow the passage of product from the lateral opening to the dispensing orifice when the two parts are in the dispensing position.
  • the dispensing orifice may communicate with a chamber formed between the first and second pieces, when the latter are in the dispensing position.
  • This chamber can extend over an angular sector around the geometric axis of rotation of the second part which is less than a complete revolution.
  • the chamber may be formed for example between a recess of the tubular extension and a notch extending axially on the radially inner surface of the inner skirt of the second part.
  • the volume of the chamber is small enough to prevent accumulation of product that can dry out in the absence of use.
  • the volume and the configuration of the chamber can be chosen so that the product contained inside can be sucked substantially completely during a return air accompanying the return of the container to its original shape, in the case of a volume container variable and memory shape.
  • the aforementioned lateral opening may be delimited by an annular lip extending from the recess of the tubular extension.
  • This annular lip can arrange around it, inside the recess, an annular groove.
  • the geometric axis of rotation of the second part may be inclined with respect to the axis of a skirt of the first part for mounting on the container, the axis of this skirt may coincide with the axis of a collar of the container.
  • the geometric axis of rotation of the second part may be non-vertical when the container which is equipped with the dispensing device rests on a flat horizontal surface.
  • the inclination of the geometric axis of rotation can facilitate the identification, by the user, of the dispensing position relative to the closed position.
  • the geometric axis of rotation may be contained in a vertical plane when the container which is equipped with the dispensing device rests on a horizontal flat surface.
  • the first and second parts can be configured so that the transition from the closed position to the dispensing position is effected by a rotation of at least a quarter of a turn, for example a half-turn of the second piece by compared to the first, but it could be otherwise.
  • the first and second parts can be configured to be stationary axially relative to each other.
  • One of the two parts can be fixed by snapping on the other part, at least one of the two parts having a bead or groove of the same axis as the geometric axis of rotation of the second part.
