Description
The invention relates to a method and a device for connecting from a running with an incoming new material web by means of knurling, in particular of tobacco-processing paper webs running from bobbins Industry, with the webs to be connected at approximately synchronous speed and moved approximately parallel to each other and between a rotating knurled surface and a rotating counter surface.
The material webs can be, for example, tobacco article wrapping strips, such as such as strips of cigarette paper. The object of the present invention is to provide such methods and devices improve.
This object is achieved by the subjects of the independent Claims resolved.
The lanes mentioned at the beginning are mostly drawn off from bobbins to which they are wound up. The machine processing of the webs occurs an impending idling of a bobbin the problem, the running train to have to connect with a lane of a new bobbin. Not for processing To stop, this should be done while the web is running, if you have no memory wants to work. The trains must therefore at least for a certain time if possible run synchronously and parallel to each other by knurling them together to be able to connect, i.e. the incoming new lane has to be at least approximately have the processing speed of the running web. To the Above all, to be able to connect material webs by means of knurling necessary, a knurled surface of the device used for knurling if possible to move synchronously with the web speed. For this, the knurled surface must be on the web speed of the two webs can be accelerated without the Touching tracks before this speed is reached.
The invention realizes this advantageously in that the knurled surface and the Rotate counter surface at different speeds so that they only at every nth cycle to perform the knurling process with each other are operatively connected, i.e. mutually including the two railways touch or hit each other with n> 1. This gives enough time Acceleration of the surfaces or the rollers supporting the surfaces Available. The knurled surface is preferably guided so that the connecting webs only during one that serves to connect the webs Phase touched. This will damage the webs to be connected avoided.
The advantages of the invention are also that their implementation is simple few moving parts are required and that the least possible wear is achieved due to the movements.
In a preferred embodiment of the method according to the invention, n the knurled surface is approximately equal to 10. A is more preferred Speed ratio between knurled surface and counter surface of about 10:11.
According to an embodiment of the invention, the speed of the two segments while facing each other are controlled so that move the segments approximately synchronously. This can be done, for example, by using of servo technology for driving at least one of the segments or eccentric Arrangement of a drive gear of a drive of at least one of the segments will be realized.
In one embodiment of the device according to the invention, the Knurled surface around a first axis of rotation and the counter surface around a parallel to the first axis of rotation extending second axis of rotation, the Knurled surface on a segment rotatably mounted about the first axis of rotation and the counter surface on a rotatably mounted about the second axis of rotation Segment. At least one of the segments can be on one around the corresponding axis of rotation rotatably mounted roller.
The distance between the axes of rotation is preferably such that those for knurling paths to be passed between the knurled surface and the counter surface touching the knurled surface and the counter surface are knurled.
Further preferred embodiments of the invention are in the subclaims describe.

In
The
All motors M1, M2, M3, M4 and M6 are from one, not shown Control controlled. It is of course also within the scope of the invention possible to get by with fewer engines if you have appropriate gearboxes starts.
Weise beschleunigt. Before the bobbin 4 is completely empty, the new
This is described in more detail with reference to FIGS. 2a-i as follows. 2a-i are

The
Within 10 revolutions of
The
The device shown should then be used until the
