Claims (15)

  1. Spring element (1) for sitting or lying surfaces, having a foot plate (2) which can be fixed to a base, on which at least two outwardly pointing spring legs (3) are supported, the free ends (3.1) of which interact with a support plate (5), with an elastic auxiliary body being inserted between the foot plate (2) and the support plate (5), characterised in that the elastic auxiliary body is configured as a support body (10) which can be twisted in the spring element (1) to alter the level of hardness thereof, to the foot part of which, mounted on the inner side of the foot plate (2), with support ring (11), are attached at most as many support legs (12) adapted to the curvature of the spring legs (3) of the spring element (1) as there are spring legs (3) provided, said spring legs being arranged such that each of the support legs (12) can be brought into alignment with or spaced apart from a spring leg (3) and interacts therewith to influence the hardness of the spring element (1).
  2. Spring element as claimed in Claim 5, characterised in that a number of adjustment openings (16) located concentrically to the central hole (15) or the central journal (21) as well as at least one adjustment journal (25) corresponding thereto are provided as latching means between the support ring (11) of the support body (10) and the foot plate (2) of the spring element (1) or between the bearing plate (14) of the support body (10) and the bearing plate of the spring element (1) or between the bearing plate (14) of the support body (10) and the plate attachment (20) mounted thereon and connected to the bearing plate of the spring element (1) or between the bearing plate (14) and the plate attachment (20).
  7. Spring element as claimed in Claim 9, characterised by latching means between the support ring (11) of the support body (10) and the foot plate (2) of the spring element (1) or between the bearing plate (14) of the support body (10) and the support plate (5) of the spring element (1) or between the bearing plate (14) of the support body (10) and the plate attachment (20) mounted thereon and connected to the bearing plate of the spring element (1).
  11. Spring element as claimed in Claim 10, characterised in that the bearing plate or support ring (14; 31) has at least one group of noses (36) as latching means, and that the support plate (5) is provided with an annular groove (8), in the base of which toothing (8.1) interacting with the nose(s) (36) is provided.

Spring element as claimed in Claim 10 or 11, characterised in that a number of adjustment openings (16) located concentrically to the central hole (15) or to the central journal (21) and at least one adjustment pin (25) corresponding thereto are provided as latching means between the bearing plate (14) and plate attachment (20).

Spring element as claimed in any one of Claims 1 to 12, characterised by a mattress lifter (50) which is guided with its lifter back (53) through recesses (6) in the support plate (5), with the lifter back (53) being fixed by means of spring legs to the support plate (5), such that the lifter back (53) is pressed down when the mattress is loaded, so that the mattress rests on the support plate (5), whereas when the mattress is unloaded, the mattress lifter (50) lifts the mattress with its lifter back (53) off the support plate (5), with the lifter back (53) and the recesses (6) in the support plate (5) preferably being bent in the form of a circular section and the lifter back (53) being movable with play in these recesses (6), and in that the lifter back (53) has a return spring leg (51) at each of its two ends, said return sring leg being fixed to the support plate (5).
  14. Spring element as claimed in Claim 13, characterised in that fixing pins (9) are arranged, in order to fix the return spring legs (51) together with the spring legs (3), in the corner areas of the terminal surfaces (5.1) of the support plate (5), which fixing pins receive both the fixing ends (3.2) of the spring legs (3) and the fixing legs (51) of the mattress lifter (50).
  15.
